Do not recommend buying from these people. They will sell you a bad transmission and do absolutely nothing when you tell them about the issue. The signed contract/warranty is just for them to not refund you any money on the bad part they send. They put things on that warranty, that they recommend you do for the warranty to be good. Half of it has nothing to do with the part. I practically gave them $2,000. Diagnostic on the transmission showed a bad solenoid c. Lucky for them, the warranty doesn’t covert electrical components. Once again, it’s a bad transmission they sold me. Others issues includes that it would not even go into gear. Do yourself a favor and by from someone trustworthy.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the recent purchase of a transmission from your company. I chose your services based on the 36-month warranty provided; however, the unit was defective upon installation. To provide the required proof of the defect, I incurred nearly $800.00 in expenses, including towing to a dealership and meeting other diagnostic requirements. Additionally, I paid $300.00 to ship the defective part back to your facility. Despite paying $2,500.00 for the transmission, I have only received a refund of $1,500.00. It appears that your company deducted shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee for a defective product. I request a full refund of the remaining balance, as a restocking fee should not apply to faulty equipment. I look forward to your prompt response regarding this matter. To the Management of AM Auto Parts, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding a defective transmission I purchased for $2,500.00. Despite the part being faulty, I was required to spend $800.00 to meet your diagnostic requirements, which included towing, Ford dealership documentation, and computer reprogramming. Furthermore, I have been charged a $1,000.00 restocking fee in addition to the initial shipping costs to my mechanic. It is unacceptable that proving a part is defective cost me $800.00, only to be further penalized with a $1,000.00 restocking fee on a product that should have been fully refunded. While your sales team uses the warranty as a selling point, these hidden costs and fees demonstrate that you do not stand behind your products. I am extremely disappointed in this experience and would advise others to seek auto parts from more reliable local suppliers.

From start to finish, customer service was excellent! I had absolutely no problems when purchasing my engine for my Honda. The rep took great care of me and provided a decent and accurate timeframe on when I would receive it. I have been driving my car everyday, and it actually rides better than before. The prices are very reasonable also. Thanks again for a great experience!

December of last year I was searching for a engine for my explorer. The team at AM used auto parts were right on it. I had a quote within in 30 minutes. The price they gave me was amazing. Much lower then other places I'd looked at and the warranty was great. I recommend this company to anyone looking for an engine, transmission or other auto parts. They are all about customer service and support. I had a few questions down the road. They addressed them promptly. Now that's service! Douglas KaDell.

I had never used a online parts dealer till I found this company. I was neverous and the professional and friendly staff at AM found my part fast and a better, cheaper part than other companies. Delivery was fast, and I would recommend AM to anyone and will use them again.

Shady!!! They dont necessarily cover warranties, cant say never because maybe they have but not mine. I paid 4600.00 for used engine in August. Had it installed. Spent 2 months and about 3500.00 in shop chasing down why engine won't run except in limp mode. 3rd shop finally diagnosed as internal issue. Now between all, Im in 10000.00 to find out it's 3500.00 to correct. I followed all warranty requirements. Finally contacted them about warranty. Emailing multiple people with invoices, diagnostics, estimates and I made a typo in one email on install date. I immediately re emailed I made the typo provided them with details on dates and they denied saying engine not installed ins 30 days. I emailed again with correct timeliness and after 2 phone calls and 3 more messages, it's crickets. No response. Daniel and Rocky are crooked. Be very aware of all the reviews about this company and this exact issue. They sold me a defective engine which any scanner could have picked up the code so I believe they were aware of the issue but there was no way for my mexhanic to know until money spent to install engine. Now they won't cover the internal repair. Engine has about 55 miles in limp mode. Any legit company would pay for repair or cost to refund engine cost, shipping and cost to remove engine.

Purchased a transmission 1800.00 for my vehicle, installed new cooler, radiator filters and seal. Programmed & relearned only to discover it had no 3rd or 4th gear. Got down on cash so I couldn’t return in decent time with the labor spent to install and removed and all the parts related. They would not accept my return even though they offer a 3 year warranty. No one will respond or even offer any type of help after paying 1800.00

I will Never buy anything again from this place these people Straight lie to you about their products. I purchased an transmission and after my Machanic install it found out that the speed sensor was bad I called them and they gave me the runaround I was told by office manager, Daniel that they would help with getting the sensor fixed but not the labor after the repair they said that they couldn't help me I ended up paying over $1,600.00 for a used transmission from this place don't waist your time Nor hard working money especially if you live out of town!!! RUN, RUN, RUN.

Everything was very professional about the way I was handed. From the moment I first spoke to the salesman all the way to the delivery. I was kept informed the whole time of where my engine was. It showed up on the day it was supposed to, Florida to San Diego. Impressive job they did. With only minor damage from shipping. I was very satisfied with the whole process. When I needed a transmission replacement, I used a search website that was supposed to scout thousands of automotive parts places for a used transmission with low mileage. The only people who reached out to me was AM Used Auto Parts. They had a transmission with low mileage and the asking price was under a $1000. As I manually searched for options, all of the other companies had more mileage, asked for more than 1k and also gave a 60 day warranty. AM Used Auto Parts not only had the lowest price, but they offered a 3 year warranty! After paying for the transmission, they shipped it for free and it arrived a few short days later. I was very pleased with my purchase!

I would like to sincerely share my dearest appreciation for AM Used Auto Parts, LLC. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Guy and Angelo in the sales department. They were extremely professional, their customer service skills were superb. They continuously kept me updated throughout the entire process via, emails, phone calls and text messages. I ordered an engine which was delivered a few hours ago. Every employee from, the sales, shipping, warranty departments etc were very polite, reliable and professional. AM Used Auto Parts, LLC is by far thee best Auto parts company that I've ever encountered. They also provide financing options through a third party financing company. From the beginning it was a easy purchase. The salesman told me exactly what I would be receiving, it would also be the exact match for my vehicle. The wait for delivery was worth the time for delivery. Delivery was successful with no issue. After changing all seals and installation the transmission had a hesitation in reverse and drive, spoke with company by text and says that would be normal and to drive a couple of hundred miles. Note issue has eased some but still appears periodically. For now im very satisfied with the company and all who was involved in my purchase Thanks Billy Price

My husband bought a used transmission for $1250.00 we paid to have it put in and it was bad. We called and was it was to late to send it back but they would give us 750.00. To have it shipped to a rural area it was going to cost over $500.00. Which they denied it was a rural area. We found that the transmission didn't come from them? When we told them it that something was wrong they said they had tested it? How is that when it came from a 3rd party. If it was tested they would have known it was not anygood. When we received it it smelled like it had been burned? They denied that also. We ended up losing a lot of money because of this Company. I wouldn't advise anyone to deal with them. Really sad you can't trust anyone.

I am SOOOOOO frustrated with this process and I’m not really sure why this is so difficult!!!!!! Today is 10/7/2025 I originally contacted this company and purchased a used transmission for my Avalon on 8/18/2025. The FIRST transmission arrived at my repair show on 9/4/2025. Upon arrival we learned that I was sent out the wrong transmission. I called on 9/4/2025 and spoken to someone named Daniel in the claim dept. I explained the issue and he told me to submit pictures for review. I followed the process, sent the pictures and was told they would rectify the issue. Apparently the transmission that was sent to me was for the right car, but for a different engine size. And was inventoried incorrectly. Not a me problem. i called the next day and was told that my refund could be processed. I explained that I did NOT want a refund, just the right part that I had paid for. I received a bill of Laden from this company on 9/10/2025 and went and purchased new straps to secure the wrong transmission to the excuse of a pallet it was shipped on. At this point, I’ve been escalated to the “Business Manager” Clifton. Clifton gets on the phone, apologizes profusely, and ENSURES me that they’ll get this issue rectified in a timely manner, and that my order would receive “preferential treatment” and by expedited do the issue. They transmission was picked up on 9/11/2025 by their shipping company. I call on 9/19 because I’ve heard absolutely nothing and I’m told that they JUST received the transmission on the 18th and they are inspecting it and will get my refund issued. I again explained that I did not want a refund, just the correct part that i ordered. I am again told that this will be expedited and handled. In 9/25 I get an email, no call, just an email stating that the replacement part failed a final part of the inspection and they are finding me yet ANOTHER replacement. I get an email on 10/2 saying my part is ready to be shipped. THIS BRINGS ME TO TODAY 10/07/2025!!!!!! My repair shop receives the replacement transmission and cuts the straps and wrapping off of the part. This is when they discover that the connector for the transmission is broken, one of the connector pipes is bent, and the torque converter is sticking out and could be damaged. I called the same number I’ve always called, and I’m currently on a 17 minute hold without having spoken to ANYONE while I write this review. I JUST WANT THE PART I ORDERED!!!!! THATS ALL, just the part I ordered and for it to be in decent condition when it arrives. I’m not sure what the issue is and why this has been such a tumultuous process, but I’m REALLY trying to be understanding, but I purchased this part almost TWO MONTHS ago, and you can BET they took those funds out immediately!!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND UPSET. REFERENCE NUMBER 4539068 in the unlikely event that someone from the company sees this and actually wants to help me!!!!!!!!!!

I contacted AM used Auto Parts, needing a transmission for my 2005 Ford Ranger 4x4 and the man I spoke to was very friendly and helped me by giving me ease of mind with his answers regarding my concerns. Best decision I made was buying from AM used Auto Parts. I was so satisfied that I've referred 3 others that was needing a transmission. I will most definitely be a recurring customer when I need something else like an engine or another transmission. 5 start review? NOPE!! I give them a 10 star review. Great service. Rocky in sales was very helpful finding a low mileage engine for my 2005 Toyota Camry. This is my second engine purchase within a year and both were for the same type vehicles. Both were complete and ran great with no problems. Their followup from the shipping department let me know this is a quality company. If I need future equipment, I will call AM Auto. David Graham

This is the worst place to buy a US engine, these people hooked me, charged me 2250 dollars for this engine, told me that it was repaired and that the only thing I had was to put the accessories on it and sent me a rotten engine the next day, took them back and told them that what they sent me was useless, they told me that there was no problem that they gave me the money back, but I had to send the engine where they brought it, it cost me to send it 900 dollars and they delayed. Like a month to give me back the money, and on top of that, they only returned 1500 dollars after spending 2250 plus 900 dollars that they sent me to send the other engine for back, something that I do not buy in that other place, I pay them in the place where I take the engine back, my people think before buying from some people like that, unscrupulous, I do not know how in a large and wonderful country like this, those businesses allow to take advantage of the humble person that many times they do not have that one. Money to fix your cars, buy nothing in that business.

I thought it was gonna be so stressful to buy a motor, but AM Used Auto Parts made it so easy. Ordered my motor and received it in two weeks. My mechanic checked it all out, no issues and 2 days driving my subaru. If I am in need of other parts I will be ordering again. And will recommend AM Used Auto Parts to everyone. We waited several weeks to get an engine that had clearly not been run tested as Angelo had stated in order to have my 3 year warranty. Th engine finally was delivered on a crumbling pallet with all straps broken and had a damaged oil pan, timing cover and very rusty. Anglo sourced this from Illinois and had it drop shipped to us but because of it being in such horrible condition, we refused shipment. We payed in advance 4,500.00 and because of his return policy he kept 25% so our refund was only for 2,950 for NO delivered useable part. This company makes their profit on their “fine print” not selling parts that are useable and worthy of installation.

I purchased a used engine for my 2021 GMC Terrain from AM Used Auto Parts. The engine has 21,000 miles and I am extremely happy with how it is performing. The gas mileage is normal and the engine is very powerful. Additionally, the customer service was extremely fast and professional. I highly recommend this company and give them a 5 out of 5 rating.

Back in September of 2022 I purchased an engine for one of my tow trucks from AM and had an awesome experience. Still running strong as ever today. I just placed an order for another engine for a different vehicle today and after reviewing some of these reviews I still have faith that this next one will be as good as the first. A few months ago, I purchased an engine from AM used auto parts and when it arrived There was two plastic straps holding the engine down to To a wooden pallet and they were broke off so the engine rolled around in the back of a shipping truck destroying parts all over it. When it arrived to my mechanic shop, my mechanic demanded that the Driver take photos from his own camera and document the engine rolling around in the back of his truck. The driver threatened my mechanic to just leave with the engine and my mechanic said go right ahead I don’t care. The driver ended up bitching and took the pictures and left the engine at my mechanic shop. The engine Looked like it came out of a swamp. There was a rats nest underneath the intake manifold. The outside of the engine was covered in mud and rust the intake manifold was broken oil pump cooler broken flywheel bent, hole in oil pan Damage all over All over. They gave me a very small $600 refund to cover a fraction of the cost of the broken parts that was caused by their shipping company. Needless to say the engine ran for 10 minutes and Blew up. So I paid my mechanic once again to pull the engine and ship it back to AM auto parts. They originally told me they would replace the engine. And at the end of this three month ordeal after hundreds of phone calls and emails, they changed their mind and don’t wanna give me another engine and they’re offering me a partial refund and said they don’t have any engines that will work for me. Not a full refund…. A PARTIAL REFUND!!!!! Like so many other people reviewing this wonderful company stated as well. (To me) It seams to be they way they operate…. Sell YOU a junk part, blame YOU, then give YOU a little bit of your money back. To say that I’m disgusted with this company is an understatement It is incredibly hard to get in touch with a manager, but if you call the sales line you’ll have somebody pick up every single phone call. At the end of the day, this was just my experience with this company. I’m not trying to persuade anyone or give any advice on using this company or not. Maybe you’d have a better experience maybe you’d have worse. Make up your own mind UPDATE: what a lovely response you had to my complaint, so elegant and professional. Even though it’s a lie and you sent out a partial refund payment I RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE WHO HAS A COMPLAINT WITH ANY COMPANY TO USE THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I JUST DID. ITS VERY SIMPLE TO USE TAKES NO TIME AT ALL.

Overall a good experience. They are very prompt at answering emails and keeping you informed during the whole process. Customer service is excellent. I ordered a 40 year old engine. with that being said, I wasn't expecting much. What I received doesn't look like it has run in at least 10 years. There is no way it was run tested since it had no compression in 4 cylinders. Again, this is a 40 year old engine and I was expecting it to have problems. With that being said, I think $1200 is pretty steep for an engine that needs new heads. However, they did get me the exact engine I needed in a decent amount of time and it arrived safely. The warranty states that if you pull the cylinder heads, the warranty is null and void. In my case, I really am not too concerned with the warranty. I pulled the heads and am fixing the problem. I wasn't expecting perfection. I am just impressed with the fact that they were able to get me the engine I needed as quickly as they were able to. Thanks AM Used Auto, I don't know how else I would have gotten this engine in the middle of North Dakota without you!

So I don't normally write reviews but this time I just had to, About 2 months ago the engine on my Subaru blew up due to oil pressure and I contacted these guys for a engine, they quoted me one with just 85K miles and assured me this engine was tested and it was a quality engine and i'm very picky for anything car related! when the engine arrived I was so impressed with the quality of the engine, engine had the miles they told me it had, it was a really clean engine on the inside and now my car runs better than ever again! The process was really quick as they sent me a tracking number and I could see where the engine was! I will definitely trust these guys for any engine or Transmission needs, and on top I have a 3 year warranty! So I can't even start to explain how much peace of mind I have right now!! Thanks to Armando, Bryan and Cliff for their customer service! Definitely trust these guys for your engine needs!!
