Talk about garbage. This place pays 3 cents less per pound than everyone else. They take your change because they don’t give out change. They are rude to boot. Go else where if you want better service and fees.
This place needs to get rid of the females answering the phones up front. What is the point of having “front office staff” if they’re going to be nothing but RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, & basically No Help at all.
Spent a whole year collecting other people’s cans, and cleaning up littered cans to save up for Summer Camp only to get $9.00 out of it.
Something here feels like a rip off. I’ll let you decide if you think it’s worth bringing your cans here.
Back when it was Patriot metals it was awesome. People were super helpful and always nice. Now that it's under new management (Proway) it's a horrible place. Prices are way lower than going just a little bit up the road, the office people are probably some of the rudest people I've ever met. That said there is 1 bright spot, the guys who works in the yard. I was a customer up until last week. Now I'll take my business elsewhere.
Patriot Metals Inc the last time I was 4 yrs ago u didn't know if u would b driving out or walking due to all metal on the ground. Now u can drive in and sell ut scrap and drive out with out getting a flat. They have really cleaned that place up

took in over 10 lbs of clean copper. We weighed it before going there. They claimed it was only 2 lbs and gave me $4. Claiming it was 23 cents a lb for insulated and only $1.10 per lb of cleaned #1 copper...... The place is ripping people off. Then they also "ROUND THE DOLLAR" to the LOWEST dollar, So if you scrap $5.99 worth of stuff, then you get $5.
The staff is very helpful and nice. The guy in the yard even brought the machine over and unloaded some of the larger items I had. It's also convenient that they are open on the weekends for people who don't scrap for a living.
Patriot Metal Recycling in my opinion is normally good however their sign says now open on Sundays and they're not open false advertising they shouldn't say they're open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and have a person stop by at 11:30 and there's nobody there and nobody answers the phone absolutely terrible and a waste of time
I was running a little behind and got there right at 4:00PM on Saturday with a full load. One of the workers was closing the gate and I asked him if I could just drop it off (no money) and he said no. He wouldn't even let me turn around.
After taking my materials and quickly taking them to the back they then disclosed all the things I needed in order to get the money for the scrap metal. The office manager is the rudest person I've ever delt with. I feel bad for people that prey on the poor just make a buck. I wish her the best and hope the business decides to hire people with integrity.
