I went with a load of just aluminum cans witch is pretty much little or nothing they said over the phone they were paying 70¢ per pound which is more than there compatiton piercings penalize piercings piercings penalize me for tops on aluminum bottles that I had flattend which would be impossible to do because bottles would not have flattened and also penalized for them being dirty cleaning is a process in all recycling so I call BS thats just my experience
Went in to recycle aluminum cans ,guy on the scale was very helpful. I told him it's been awhile since Ive been here. The two ladies in the office were great to me.I recomend this company.
Called spoke with the general manager. They are rude as hell. Go anywhere else they will literally talk ahit to you on the phone because they don't know the florida statutes
Do not sell your metal to this place they rush you out and lie saying everything is tin even steel. Tried to call and talk to someone the lady was extremely rude and put us on hold in the middle of a call and then hung up after saying Oh my God like we were bothering her. We called another recycling place who said that steel should be over $300 and they gave us $50 classified as tin. They didn't magnet test it or even ask just scrapped it based on her eyes even when we told the guy in the front it was steel. The first person we talked to told us a different price until they realized we were the ones who just left and then changed the price. Shady business and rude manager Karen. Will be contacting BBB im sure we aren't the first people they scammed out of money.
The staff is very dishonest make sure you fully understand what they're going to pay you before you take it off the truck because they will change the price beware
Dan helped us save a thousand bucks by picking up our metal scrap from our project site. Getting another truck to deliver the scrap to the junkyard would have cost us a lot. The driver was early and willingly waited there. Dan answered all of my questions willingly by corresponding through email. We still got check sent to us. =) Thank you!
Not happy. They couldn't find my account. 4 different times I had to wait. The account is set up to receive cash, but they gave a check. I'm just going elsewhere
First time I hauled metal in to scrap yard. Place was great... friendly staff helped me when I didn't know what I was doing. I went in around lunchtime on a Thursday was one guy ahead of me. Couple people showed up while I was there but I was in & out in less than 30min. I would use them again. Made $30 for what I would consider a nice size load. Maybe not a full truck load but I had some heavy pieces of good solid metal. 2 tow hitches, 2 small hot water heaters, and various others metals. Good experience.
Best local recycling I've used. Plenty of room for larger trucks to pass through without smaller customers having to shuffle around to have them pass. Everyone was polite and professional.
Don't do too much recycling but this place was very clean And organized people were very nice and they seem to pay the most in the area for recyclable items Would go there again

Just took a full truck bed of heavy metals for a payout of $26. No thank you! Never again! I would rather have all my metals back on my truck.
I went to wise recycling place before with a couple of grills and odds and ends and came out of there with $18. I thought this place would definitely be better worthwhile. I actually feel sick and astonished.
This is my first time recycling scrap but from the reviews I'm going to go with SA recycling...I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to scrapping so I hope the guys can help me out...I will update post when I get back but this seems like the best place in town.
The folks at SA recycling paid top dollar for the copper I had taken to them. They paid the highest in town. Their service was pleasant as well. I will be going back there for any more of my recycling needs!

I went by today to deliver prepared aluminum and told the guy I had prepared aluminum. So after i finished and got weighted I went inside and received my check, they was giving me $.28/lbs but I had a sign contract for $.58/lbs. Another lady went to go check my aluminum and told me it wasn't prepared aluminum. I'm very unpleased with them and i recommend no one doing business with them
I just starting using southern scrap for my metal wastes. I have to say, that's the first scrap yard I have been to that everyone is kind and courteous . It was a pleasure talking to workers and getting instructions on how to manage the metal. They ladies and gentlemen in the office are just as kind and respectful. They are probably the best in my area as far as customer relations. I will continue to use southern scrap in the future for all my metal recycling needs.
Been doing business with Southern Scrap for over 20 years. They handle our waste container and scrap steel container. They are courteous and fast. Extremely quick to pay for scrap steel and always respond quickly when we need waste container emptied. Wendy is especially helpful!!!
Customer service is great!!! Almost beautiful, you better have a whole lot of clean aluminum because of it is anyway dirty you will be ripped off with service with a smile. It was my first visit, they knew it ,never told me there was a difference in price with clean vs dirty or how much they give per pound. Will not return.
I took 160 pounds of clean aluminum to Southern Scrap in October when the price of aluminum was hovering around 80 cents / LB, and they marked it off as "dirty aluminum," and all they gave me was $35 for the whole thing! WHAT A FRAUD! I will definitely NOT do business with them again! And this was not the first time. I have noticed that they paid less in the past as well. I am done with them. And I am done with recycling. It's simply not worth the time and energy to collect metal, to take it to these thieves who won't pay the fair price. The money I got just about covers the cost of transportation of the metal, so I barely break even. What a crooked company!
held 8 tons of cans for over 4 weeks might be good for the little guy but cant handle the big boys ....did not do what they said ..sounds like our current pres ....not honest
