I bought my first tow truck from Stovers.. Mr. Tom is the best in the business!!! Hands down I can’t explain enough how much I love this place!! Me & my tow truck..!
My family has spent a lot of money with these guys. First used truck we bought from them was a little high but we made it work. The second truck we bought caught on fire on the way home. Now the salesman told us it was a great truck and that they went through it and it was sound and they put a new AC in it, but the AC blows hot. Some how they missed a leaking fuel line and it was spraying on the hot manifold which made it catch on fire but we didn't say nothing we fixed it we drove it to go do one job and the transmission blew out! Totally blew out, so we went over there to go look for parts and when the salesman asked us how's the truck doing we told him that caught on fire and the transmission blew out they didn't offer to help out fix nothing didn't show any general concern so that was a big turn-off! I know it was a used truck but if it catches fire on the way home they should want to help you out a little bit I would think. If it was me I would have offered the money back or helped get it fixed. We paid them way too much for it and it's still sitting in the front it not working. It is a extremely expensive sign or paper weight. Everybody that drives by knows I bought that piece of junk from Stover!!! Maybe one day they will help us out or get us one that works. You never know!! We still spend thousands of dollars with them. But we haven't bought another truck from them. Think twice before you do. Update, called to ask them to buy the truck back, wanted to find out how much of a loss I will I will have to take, the salesman last month said I needed to drive it in so he can look at so I ask just give me a ballpark I won't hold you to it? He said I have to see it before I can give you a price. So I called him one and a half weeks ago and said since you moved right down the street from us, do you want me to drive it over to you now or can you come by my office to do the look at and purchase? He said well you need to talk to the owner about us buying it because he makes all the decisions if he wants to buy the truck or not and let me tell you this he said make sure you have a price that you want to get for it because he won't do that what will you give me for it he wants to know exactly how much you want to sell it for and then he'll make his decision, and a lot of times he will tell me something different than he will tell you. So then I told the salesman well I paid y'all $7,800 for it my guys painted it marked it would still take that off put brand new tires on it all the way around (6 NEW) put two brand new batteries in it fix the fuel leak where it got on fire driving it home from when I bought it to you and we only ever used it twice and now it's been sitting there the whole time waiting on you guys. Then he said oh, yeah well you're going to have to talk to him cuz I don't have nothing to do with purchase I'll give you his cell phone number, and I told him I might already have it but let me check I was like did it change and he said no I said okay please let him know I'm trying to get ahold of him and let him know what I want to do, meaning sell if back. So I called the cell number that I had it was the wrong number I called back and left two messages to please give me a call that I needed to sell the truck it's just sitting there and I need to get some of my money back. It's been over a week now actually it's been a week and a half and I haven't heard word one! Not call or message NOTHING! I will keep you informed of exactly when they get back to me and if they do the right thing or not keep your fingers crossed.
Took a trip to the parks department to get tow supplies found that their parts department is very knowledgeable and very efficient and professional... Pinks Towing
