I like going to ozi recycling for a couple reasons, for me it's close enough so it's worth making a few bucks on other people's trash/ plus the hours of business fit for me. Don't run late because Joe wants to enjoy his home and family also, he has no problem with telling you that he's closed no matter what the excuse is. Be there early so you don't have to be upset, because your running behind. Seriously not joking about that,

I'd advise everyone that is trying to get rid of their scrap metals to find an alternative place this place is extremely inconsiderate and they're way under price for their scrap prices
Rented a box truck to take 1 very large fridge, 1 stove, two dryers, and a washer, some large metal, and aluminum pieces that was dumped in wrong spot, worker chastised me after I had asked where to dump it, basically mumbled and walked off. No one really attends area so if it's your first time prepare to be lost. Your unable to check weight because it's hidden somewhere in office. 60 bucks is all I got. Unprofessional and wacky
Was in line waiting to be weighed out at 3:35pm, when I was approached by an employee, stating that they are closing and I would need to come back on Monday. Mind you they close at 4pm, and I myself along with 3 other customers were told to leave 25 minutes before closing time. I will never go back to that hole in the ground!
Stopped by a few times on Saturday and service was as expected from a small yard with limited staff. Place is run down most likely after hurricanes. Prices are not the best, but fair and it's close by so saves me time.
Website said it closed at 5 we showed up at 4:20 and the owner said they were closed but he let us go and continuously told us to “hurry up”, his words. He was extremely rude, didn’t guide us on where to go or what to do. It was a very stressful and uncomfortable experience.
Place is a joke, first time i went there i unloaded and then went to get paid and they said they didnt have any money i had to come back in a few hours, second time weny at 8 which they are supposed to open , waited til 830 and the owner shows up and rips us off on our aluminum, pays us steel price because he thought one item was steel,place is a mess , dont go there. Last time for me.
Waited over 30 minutes after opening time for owner to show up. I mistakenly threw a baby stroller in with the aluminum and didn't get paid for any aluminum at all. Over 400 pounds worth and couldn't get it back because his metal put is under water. Went there with a truck bed and 6x12 trailer full of mostly aluminum and made 50 bucks. I'll never go back there again. Owner is rude and cheap and not professional at all. Screw that place and I mean that from the bottom of my heart
I was second in line as someone was already unloading. After him I got weighed and unloaded. Pulled back around and guy running the place was gone. Had to wait 1/2 hour for him to get back. Meanwhile trucks are lined up. He got back and took another 10 minutes to get it together. My first snd last time going there
Place is straight up a dangerous place to unload. I had to unload my steel while on the scale with people waiting. Had to lift everything over the sidewall of my truck because of my position on the scale. Then I finish and go around, there was a half buried piece of sheet aluminum in the "path" that scratched my truck down the whole side. I only asked the guy to please cut the piece out so someone else doesn't scratch their truck again and I got a bunch of back talk. I really think there will be a major accident there and it will shut down soon.

These crooks dont conduct proper business ethics. They forget that they are the costumer. They never have enough help, treat regular visitors with disrespect, and above all, I put a five pound dumbbell on the small scale, it registered 1 pound. I made them correct my ticket, and I was trespassed, for standing up for what is right. Stay aware!!!!!
Well I pulled up and immediately I noticed it was under new management. I was told the scale was broken so I had to guess how much weight I had. Are you kidding me? What should have been a $300.00 scrap run. I walked out with only $150 go else where you'll be disappointed
Worst Experience, lowest prices. Never Coming here ever again. Only came here cause Trademark Metals Recycling was closed, but now I know I’ll wait the next day to go to Trademark Metals Recycling instead of coming here. This place Should be Closed down for good.
Gave me a good reason to start going there again. The previous owners were rip offs. The owners before them however, we're great people also. But yes, the new owner now? Awesome.
I bring scrap metal twice a month for over a year and never had an issue with them. I always check the prices in the area and they always keep their prices fair. Nice people...
Today we brought in some aluminum gutters to Ozi for recycling. Before going there I called and asked the price for old aluminum gutters we recently removed from our home. I was told $.35 per pound. We bought it in and after giving it to them they only gave me $.20 a pound as they said it was scrap and not new aluminum! How can a business like this stay in business because they cannot get any repeat customers when they deceive customers in this manner. It was not a lot of money for me but I despise being ripped off. If you have scrape metal to get rid of go somewhere else
They pay the lowest prices, not "highest" as advertised. Save yourself the gas and just throw your metal in the garbage if you're thinking of taking it here. Go to Trademark Metals instead, it's only 14 minutes away in PG. I had the owner reply once saying they changed and etc (used to go here back when it was Allied Recycling before they went downhill) and to give them a shot. But every time I call the prices are laughable.
If it could be a 0 or a -5 it would be first reading the remarks ozi stated open till 5 pm I just left at 345 and they were locking doors with a sign that says 5 over the door. the girl was whining she was already suppose to have left.. prices SUCK even told the girl when I went to pg with about the same it was over 200.00 .... to there 35.00

Gave them a chance to make things right. Came out short by at least 30 pounds of copper (that's being conservative). I know how much I had and how much money it should have been. As it turns out I did the wrong thing and didn't even check out the receipt. Never had to when it was Allied. Noticed the discrepancy at home and of course they were closed.Called first thing this morning and was told I'd have to drive up and talk to them in person. Turns out all the copper I sold to them was sitting in a box separated from everything else so weighing it again was easy to accomplish. I mentioned it and was ignored. Basically given the high hat brush-off. Also brought up the gross pounds versus net pounds items I saw on the receipt. They are deducting from the total weight to compensate for the weight of the container you bring the scrap metal in. The problem with this is that I stood there and watched his worker dump everything out of the bucket onto the scale before he weighed it. Also never saw a five gallon bucket that weighed 6 lbs. The funny part was when he looked at me and said "Are we good?" No sir we aren't. Unbelievable that you could even ask that with a straight face. I've been in this area for a long time and I know a lot of people. In fact, I want to take that one star back. Recommendation? Don't go here unless you like being screwed without so much as a pardon me sir.
Very friendly staff. Rates for aluminium was double trademark. No hassle . Very quick no lines no attitudes. Open more trademark as well. Highly recommend them.
If I could leave zero stars I would. Hours say open 7 days a week, I showed up after paying for a trailer rental to take some very heavy and backbreaking items to this facility and they were closed up at 3pm on Saturday and not open on Sunday as of 10:30!!! ... I called and left messages with no response, no note on the doors, and the voicemail says they should be open right now.... NOT HAPPY!... new management not changing anything for the better from what I’m experiencing!
Hours online says "open 7 days a week close at 6 Monday through Saturday" It's Saturday only 330pm. After an hour of loading the truck drive down and your definitely not open. Why post and say on voicemail that your open till 6 when your not? Can't blame this one on old management.
I've been to this recycling center multiple times and have never had a particularly good experience but have never felt the need to leave a review either, until today.
5 cents per pound for a clean automotive radiator? That is an absolute joke. 120lbs of white goods, $6... I walked out of there with $10.00 not to mention the ridiculous wait times this place constantly has.
I'm not sure how they get away with paying such ridiculously low prices... Probably because suckers like me keep going there. No more. I would not mind seeing Allied go out of business here.
I cant believe it but i actually miss the Guatemalans and the management from five years ago. Prices are low everywhere but if u want pennys go there. Wont evan cover gas. And was so convientant location.
They will rip you off they have their own category for number 3 insulated wire no such thing I brought in computer wire and they tried to pay .11 cents a pound when it normally goes for .90 to 1.10 I recommend you stay away
