Customer service is little to none. Store refused to scan check engine light in vehicle stating it was against store policy. Rude counter help as well.

They do the diagnostic check for free and print it out for you to take to your mechanic. So, don't pay $150 at your mechanic, go there and save your $$$$

Travis was wonderful! Why hasn’t corporate promoted him to at least District Manager? He could easily oversee 15+ stores. Great temperament, very knowledgeable and patient. This company is lucky to have him!

So I never ever write reviews but I was really upset and frustrated with the experience I had at this advance. I walked in on 01/19/25 and needed to change my wipers for my car it was about 6 pm exactly when I walked in. And the young guy that was working was literally no help and felt like for everything I asked him he was unsure if it would be compatible with my car. I asked him if he could help me change the wipers on my car since I do find it difficult to do & he literally told me that at 6pm they stop providing that service. I was like fine okay I understand I guess but a bit confused since I’ve had them change my wipers after 6 before. I didn’t really let that stop me from attempting to purchase some wipers from the store and asked him which one would fit and he literally told me he wasn’t sure and that my car needed special wipers that could only be ordered and would take a day for them to get to the shop. NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE with advance. decided to call another store they had literally the same wipers and helped me install them after 6pm. I love advance and always come there for my car needs but after that day I will never step foot in that store ever again and encourage other customers to do the same. Clearly the employees there don’t care and don’t want to work.

Like one of the recent reviews I see: “It's not my place to be at anymore”. I would never run my own business like this. Here’s the issue. I like to trust the experts when it comes to auto parts. And this being the closest store to my home, I like to do business with the locals. I’ve had good experiences in the past, but unfortunately the workers here are the kind of people you need to work. What I mean by that is some days, you’re getting good service. Other days, the manager is in a grumpy mood, and so is everyone else in the store. And service doesn’t mean shit to them anymore. This is a retail store, policy should never be changing on the fly based on the managers mood. Don’t depend on this store or begin to believe they’ll give you trusted, expert advice. They will dig in your pockets and insist on you buying the most expensive, all of the time. That’s what happened this time. Like I said, I like to trust the experts, so I bought a battery, upsold from their cheapest offering of about $225 to $300 for my car, assuming that’s even a reasonable price to begin with in the battery market for my car (it’s absolutely not. Paid under $150 for an equivalent spec of another brand and I use that one), and in the end had no use for this one sitting in my garage. When I got around to return it, every single person, be it the manager, his workers, or customer service, gave me totally different answers as how long I could return it for. No one was remotely helpful or willing to understand that the sale they made was totally scammy. I would not run my business this way. I don’t upsell people when I get the sense they just need “good enough” to get buy. Very scammy feel from my local store and very disappointing to be out $300. Worst part is to be giving consistent business to them alone and then one bad buy they want to throw service and hospitality completely out the window. On top of everything and all the conjecture return date windows they can do a “courtesy return” but why would the manager do that when he can keep $300 in his pocket.

Came into the store yesterday around nighttime, rude people all the time I go. I'm not coming back with such attitude, it's not my place to be at anymore, I don't know if it's because of discrimination, or because they are miserable, crooked people, but you don't treat a young man bad in the store. This is America, if you have a business here, treat it right. I asked for something they don't have, no problem, but the attitude better be cut off. Treat customers like that here and trust me, people don't play anymore with these guns. You treat people with respect.

This Location has a Customer Service level well above 5 Stars. Travis and Mike, the rest of the Staff are all very helpful. Travis changed my Battery and it must have been 95 degrees outside. He never complained, he did not rush, and he double checked his work before I left. Thanks.

**Review for Advanced Auto Parts** I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Advanced Auto Parts that I feel compelled to share. My 2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L requires an AGM battery due to its high electrical load. Despite clearly communicating this to the associate when I purchased a battery in July 2022, a lead battery was installed instead. This mistake led to numerous electrical issues, including hesitation when applying the throttle, traction control problems, braking issues, and various spontaneous system failures. After multiple visits to my mechanic and countless hours of my own time, the root cause was finally identified when I opened the vehicles battery compartment to find the incorrect battery. Unfortunately, when I returned the faulty battery under warranty, the same mistake was made again. The wrong battery was installed, despite the battery cover clearly stating "AGM" which all makes sense but when voltage tested everything appeared normal. I want to acknowledge Mike, the store manager, who did try to assist with the issue. However, his initial attitude made me feel as though I was just another patron looking for a handout from some entitlement therory or misconceived notion, which was far from the truth. This experience has cost me thousands of dollars and countless hours troubleshooting, not to mention the safety risks posed by the electrical system failures to myself and my children. Mike advised me, that pursuing legal action against Advanced Auto Parts would be futile, and he is definitely correct as they would likely deploy a team of lawyers to crush any accountability or responsibility which is S.O.P for almost every entity in America. This situation highlights the imbalance of power between consumers and large corporations. It's disheartening to see how little control we have over these entities that dominate our lives. Mike is a quality manager and did not have anything to do with either transaction or installation of the wrong battey. Unfortunately their parts database recommendeds the wrong battey and that small detail i can only assume most likely injured and/ or killed people as a result. To anyone reading this, I urge you to stand up for your rights and not let these companies get away with negligence. We deserve better. It's up to Manager's like Mike to ensure these checks are balances are done correctly. The Corporate Masters don't want his input either. Bottom line business tactics and profits are more important than everything else.

Sherman was wonderful I called for a radiator because no one else had correct one but the dealer he went through 3 different ones to match the correct one I needed he is definitely an extra miler he went above and beyond for a customer and just for that I will always shop at this location thanks Sherman your awesome

I took my car there today because of a suspected battery issue. Even though there were already a few cars lined up before me to get checked I was immediately greeted by the location manager and he assigned someone to check my vehicle with the diagnostic device. It was confirmed that the battery was the issue and the manager explained all of my options and because of him I chose to purchase my battery at this Advance store. They installed my new battery and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. This manager (I'm sorry I do not remember his name) has this location operating at 100% efficiency. I wish all my store experiences would go this smoothly.

We are circling the drain folks. Horrible customer service. The young man at the counter never made eye contact or engaged me, I engaged him with a cheerful. "Good afternoon, How are you today?" No response. Both earbuds in the whole time he checked me out at the counter while he was watching a movie, and that movie was interrupted by a FaceTime what I assume was his girlfriend. All of that was addressed. However, I never was.

Myself and my daughter went here this morning to get a new battery for her car. The guys were TRULY AMAZING. Helped us completely and did not try to sell us Anything. Tested her battery as well as whatever else needed to be checked in order for her to be safe. We were told that everything was good, and we didn't need ANYTHING However, keep an eye on a certain thing. If we have any problems to call. NEVER TRIED TO SCAM US OR UPSELL ANYTHING. I bought a few products which I needed. I've gone to other places where I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. THANK YOU EVERYONE AT ADVANCE AUTO PARTS ON HIATUS IN PEMBROKE PINES.

I visited multiple stores looking for the $40 oil change special and they only had the cheaper filter or no pan, never all available. No expression of apologies or the like. One guy never looked up at me , just kept looking at his phone texting while talking to me. I found all I needed at Auto Zone and impecable service.

A big thank you to Dominic and Management for making an exception for me (I don't want to say what it is since it shouldn't be abused or expected) but I came in the night before having to make a 600 mile trip the next morning. And even without knowing those details, they picked up on how urgent being helped was for me and assisted me even though they weren't obligated to based on their protocol. Shaila and Dominic made my family's visit an extremely pleasant visit. Shaila is very knowledgeable and was able to address our inquiry within minutes. Dominic was very capable and knowledgeable as well, carrying out the service request on bour vehicle in a timely fashion. All things considered, I'd highly recommend this location to any one in need of auto assistance.

Jonathan was very knowledgeable of a variety of car topics down to a science, he successfully helped me pick out a reasonably good quality set of windshield wipers and install them for me in the blink of an eye. Definitely recommend.

I love Advanced Auto parts! I come to the store in Pembroke Pines on Hiatus. I don't know much about cars & they are fair, honest and helpful! I have always had good experience there no matter who is helping. Speacial mention to Emilio the store manager, extremely knowledgeable in his craft & was more than happy to help out!

I went to this store to complete a warranty return for a defective part. I was told that any store can handle the return as long as I had the receipt. Mike told me that he would try but his manager wasn't working because he was on vacation and it's a $200 price. After going through his system he basically told me he could not do the return because it belongs to another store. I recalled the store I went to was on 159th and Pines Blvd but he told me it was the store on Sheridan & 441. Disregarding my own thoughts I went to the store Mike sent me to. While there I explained what was happening and the Manager told me that he could have done it and showed me how on his PC. He then reminded me that I purchased it at the store on 159th Ave but that he can process it for me without a problem. I got my money back within 2 minutes of being in that store(Sheridan & 441) <-- Go there instead of Hiatus and Taft.

My 2nd time in this location in a matter of 2 weeks. I am so grateful to Mike at this location. I recently purchased a car and had battery issues. I first went in for jumper cables. Today I went in because the battery was not working again. Shannard took out the battery and did diagnostic. After the new battery was put in they checked my starter and accelerator. Grateful to these men for helping me today. Any car or motorcycle needs I am coming back to to this location without question. So nice, knowledgeable and most importantly helpful.

I can't believe you expect customers to shop in an a store without working air conditioning in fact it has been out since December. You will not see me in there again. Those poor workers in there. They must convey a Real happy working relationship.

I returned form a trip and discovered that my rear view mirror had fallen off.... Went to Honda and they informed me that they did not do this kind of work. I was told to go to an auto parts store and purchase the glue to replace it on the windshield. Needless to say I was very bummed. Live in condo, parking is in a very large lot and at 77 years old do not want to deal with that kind of chore. But since it is necessary to have a rear view mirror, on 6/26/15, I entered the Advance Auto Parts store in Pembroke Pines with some trepidation. Fortunately Daryl A. asked if he could help me. Was he a blessing.... He not only found what I needed, he proceeded to help me a fix the mirror to my windshield. You have a customer for life. It was so pleasant to have such gracious customer service. Thank you, Daryl and thank you Advance Auto Parts for hiring and encouraging such helpful employees.
