Charged $260 for a tow/impound. Staff admitted they face thousands in credit card disputes and refused to accept my card. I had to walk 1/4 mile to an ATM despite already Ubering to the lot. This company’s refusal of standard payment forms and hostile logistics reflect poorly on Fort Lauderdale.
Thank you for gas keys, house keys and car keys with fob out of my classic 2007 Volvo S60 2.5T! 2 times while I was helping my ex-husband, ex-husband since September 23, 2012. He had a double bleed stroke, then cancer. Being so busy with his 2 senior dogs and him of course, I was a bit frustrated but you saved the day!!
Geico scheduled Sal’s Towing to transport my vehicle to a repair facility, and the call was dispatched to the company at 10:58 AM. After more than two hours of waiting, no driver arrived. I contacted their office multiple times, and each representative provided a different and inconsistent ETA. Ultimately, the tow was cancelled without any explanation or accountability. I strongly advise against using this company. After reviewing their Google reviews, it is clear that many other customers have experienced the same unacceptable level of service. Sal’s Towing demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism and empathy. Their mission statement does not reflect the way they operate. They are unreliable and do nothing to alleviate the stress of dealing with a tow, an accident, or vehicle repairs. Unfortunately, they are the only provider available in my area. I have filed a formal corporate complaint with Geico and included screenshots of Sal’s Towing’s extensive negative reviews. If customer service is not a priority for this company, one must question why they are in business at all. Unless required through your insurance, I strongly recommend that you do not spend any money with Sal’s Towing. I have also attached documentation showing all the ETA changes provided throughout this experience. The sad thing is I only needed my car towed 3 minutes away from the pick up location. Sal’s Towing really dropped the ball once again. As you can see they do not even acknowledge their online reviews.
Geico suggested SAL’S TOWING, INC. for assistance, but from the very beginning of the conversation they seemed confused and not understanding my situation. I was already dealing with a tough moment and needed clear, reliable support which I unfortunately did not receive. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend them as your first option.
I have never had to get my car towed.. until last night. I was calling different companies and the staff who picked up the calls at Sal’s were responsive and calm, when I was clearly stressed on the other line. Even when I asked about the timing because my phone battery was needing to be charged, rhey didn’t play games and told me the truth about timing and then thankfully they came sooner than expected!!
My tow truck driver, John, was absolutely amazing. Patient and really good at his job. On top of his actual job, he made sure I made it to my apartment safely because there was a situation going on outside my apartment that was sketchy especially for a woman, and that showed me how he was a really good and kind man!! I cannot express to gratitude and appreciation for his thoughtfulness and respect! Called the company and expressed my feelings and I truly hope they treat him well. I’d definitely use them again based on my experience!
Called GEICO for roadside service. I needed to get car towed to mechanic. Driver would not tow my car. I am beyond upset. I was treated very poorly by the driver and do not understand why I was not given correct service. I will be contacting GEICO next.
Was walking down the street in a residential neighborhood and one of thier drivers almost killed me going 40 turning into a parking lot.. I called them to report it, and they could care less that one of thier drivers almost killed a pedestrian walking down the street... these people are disgusting
Geico scheduled a tow for my car with Sal's towing Saturday evening, for this Sunday morning 9am. This Sunday morning 9:10 am ,I call to ask ETA , a very rude, unprofessional and grumpy woman told me that the tow was not dispatched for I had called to cancel the tow. I told her that was inaccurate for I was waiting patiently and the reason for my call was to get the ETA of the scheduled tow. Conversation escalated by her saying or actually yelling " Ma'am, Ma'am I just came in and you are going to have to call Geico to reschedule. I am going to hang up". At that moment , the tow truck arrives. Very poor communication between office, dispatch and tow driver.
Unacceptable behavior from the front desk. The front desk clerk was having a bad morning and rather than looking further into the situation to find a resolution for the customer ,she yells and hangs up! I am shocked how poorly I was treated. It does not matter if you work at the front desk at a towing company or work as a licensed provider. I treat my staff , patients and others with the utmost respect, as I like to be treated. I guess Sal's towing does not have the same motto.
Geico told me Sal towing was coming to tow my vehicle in 90 minutes waitied and call sal's 90 minutes later Sal's didn't want to do the tow and didn't reach out me or Geico bad business poor service 10-5-25
Excellent service. They rescued me midday on a Saturday when other companies would not. Karl was my tow guy. Very easy going. Very experienced. Tried to make my car work before finally towing it. He was kind and comforting through the harrowing experience of my car leaving me stranded.
Absolutely do not come here ever, made an an oil change appointment for 11am arrived on time and sat in the waiting room to wait for car to finish. An hour and thirty minutes went by and we asked for the eta and guy at front said they’d be getting to it shortly meanwhile we sat there waiting for another hour, no communication from the front. You can definitely tell these workers are paid hourly spent the 3 hours watching them stare at their phones and work on 1 car, never ever will i recommend this place unless you have 3 hours to wait for a basic oil change. The excuse was we are a busy shop, ok and so is everywhere else but oil changes do not take 3 hours. Absolutely ridiculous
Everyone here was super helpful and kind. My dog is sick and they were helping me figure out how the entire time I was getting my car back. It’s the little things in life that matter in shitty situations! Thanks guys

I had my car here for almost an entire month & nothing was done to it except my being quoted parts that I didn't need (I know this because I took my car to a mechanic who actually knew how to work on electrical problems & fixed my car in less than 2 weeks). Attached to this review are screenshots of my notes throughout the 3 1/2 weeks my car was there.
It took about 3 weeks to get a "diagnosis". The entire time throughout the month, they only called me ONCE, which was for approval on the Circuit Board Module. After that I had to call to find out they couldn't contact their electrical workers for almost 2 weeks at that point. The lack of communication was ridiculous when they prided themselves on their customer service to me when I initially called. "We make sure to keep the customer updated throughout the entire process hoping to build good customer relations so they keep coming back". Their communication was so bad that I pulled my car from their shop. Also, when I got my car towed out, the guy at the counter was laughing and whispering to the owner.
About the wiring harness I was quoted $1324 for (not including labor), I called Honda asking for a quote on the part and the person told me I should not be getting charged more than $856 for it.
Requested road side service and instead of helping i was given the number to call florida high patrol which took 4 hrs to come amd help. I was told it would be faster but I was lied to. Also I was 12 minutes away from the shop and the guy stated that I was out of his range

Unfortunately, I had flat tire after leaving dinner on Father's Day. I was informed by Geico that Sal's Towing would arrive to my location in 1 hour. I called Sal"s to provide additional info & spoke to Sandi, who was very kind. In 15 minutes, Thiago arrived. He towed my SUV on a flat bed to a tire shop. He was very kind as well.
Thx so much to Sal"s staff. Sal"s made me shed less tears on this Father's Day as my Dad passed 3 yrs ago & would normally be here to take care of all my car matters. #fastandprofessional
I placed the request to Geico roadside assistance. They located Sal's Towing and after about 45 minute the Tow arrived without the necessary equipment to lift my car. I called Sal's towing office and the lady shouted rudely telling me to call Geico and wait an hour and a half for another service provider an hang up on me. The worst service
Avoid this company if you can, but I understand if you're in a tough spot. We were stranded and desperate. They told us it would take an hour, and we patiently waited, only to find out they canceled without even contacting us. This was even after speaking to them directly on the phone. It’s just a really bad look. The silver lining is that we found a great tow company in the end. Very thankful for that.
I needed a tow 1/5/24, I called my roadside assistance who placed the call to Alpine Towing. Long story short after waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes for Alpine Towing my roadside assistance cancelled that request and contacted Sals Towing. Immediately after she changed it to Sals Towing. I called Sals for (eta )expected time of arrival. I was told 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. Sals Towing was there in 20 minutes! The customer service on the phone was excellent too, I wish I had gotten her name. The ride to the dealership was good too, I asked questions and was given answers that helped me understand what maybe going on with my car. After getting to the dealership for service about 10-15 mins later, I got a follow up call from Sals checking to see if the ride was ok. Sals Towing if your reading this thank you again! I was serviced on 1/5/23 around 2 pm at the McDonald’s on University Drive in Plantation.
If you ever need a tow and have a choice choose Sals Towing.
John, the driver is awesome. Came right away and treated my 2014 chevy like it was a 2024 cadillac. He even sent pictures of my car at tge drop off point which he didn't have to do. No complaints, will totally use their services again if needed
Picked us up again off the side of the road! Thank you. Driver arrived within 30 minutes of my calling for a tow. Dispatch and driver was nice. My family has used them for several years and they are always our first call when in need of a tow.
They rescued this Granny from stuck at a bad spot after waiting for AAA for a few hours. . The driver came in 10 minutes to rescue me and my poor old car... Thank you so much!
My car insurance sent a guy to change the tire, locking lug nut no key,so then they send a tow truck but it was a rear tire. I needed a flatbed the flatbed driver, would not let me sit in there and take me home. He just want to take my car. Sal‘s towing came to the rescue. The driver was able to tow the car backwards with all the tools that he had on his truck and I was able to get in the tow truck with them and then he dropped me off at the safe place. thank you Sals for being there to my rescue.
Can’t remember the man’s name but he was extremely helpful. I have a broken clavicle from my accident and he made sure I didn’t leave a single thing inside my car that was for sure totaled. He also helped me gather all of my belongings like my SunPass I would have probably forget. The only issue I had was the cash in the car they towed it before I could grab it bc I was rushed to the hospital. It also could have been anyone on the scene so I can’t blame them. SO in conclusion they were kind, helpful and more helpful then they had to be during an awful experience.
AMAZING TOW! My driver showed up exactly on time, I gave him my key….and WITHIN 10 MINUTES loaded my car with two flat tires on the same side! Sals has really impressed me. I have never had a tow that fast in my life!
John the tow truck helper was on time, efficient and knew my “Sean Gentile child support business van’s” exact destination to Marty’s Automotive. It’s so rewarding when a job is carried out smoothly. Great job Sal’s Towing!
I have been having Sal's Garage do all my mechanical work for about 6 yrs now. They have always been kind and respectful to me and my pups, when we come in for an oil change, or other work! Friendly service, great work ethic!
