Joel, a master mechanic, was the fourth mechanic I went to about my brake problem, and he not only solved it but educated me in the process. He very kindly suggested that I could test drive the car for my "peace of mind" before paying the bill, which I appreciated. Adam, Brittany, and Carlos were also super helpful and courteous. I highly recommend Mavis Tires and Brakes if you're looking for people who care about doing the job right.
I accidently drove over a small branch with dried leaves on it and as life goes, it got stuck under my car in-between my two front wheels. I couldnt reach it and had nothing to grab it with. I am a single Mom and new to the area; I wasn't sure what to do or where to go. I decided to stop into the Mavis on Newberry Road, in Newberry FL to ask if they could possibly help. It is Cold and Windy today yet they very graciously assisted, and for that I am extremely Grateful! I can’t say enough good things about the team at Mavis Tire & Brakes, especially Joel, Dallas, and Andrew. They went above and beyond after closing hours to help me when I really needed it. Instead of turning me away, they took the time to make sure my vehicle was safe and that I could get home without worry.

I am incredibly thankful for the mechanics and management at this location. Today my Jeep gave us all a tough time. What was supposed to be all 4 tires and alignment turned into an all day job. Most people would have been frustrated and irritated with the problem and the process of fixing it. However, I saw the bigger picture today. The manager, Adam, stepped in, over seeing and also trouble shooting with his mechanics, Carlos and the others. The girl at the front desk, Brittany, was very friendly and polite the whole time. I appreciate everyone there today. Thank you for changing my tires, fixing my alignment and reminding me that there are good hard working people in the world still.
Adam and all of the guys are so amazing! I went in for an oil change and a brake flush. It was so smooth and quick. I love that they checked out my car and I left feeling secure that everything was good with it. I do need tires and I will be coming back to get those soon! Thanks guys, you’re the best!!

Walked into the tire shop with a flat tire the day after New Year’s and expected a long wait. They told us they could do it but it might be later in the day — then they surprised us by taking us right in. Super appreciative, friendly, and efficient service, especially on a busy holiday. I got a flat tire and had to call triple A to put my donut tire on. While waiting I called Mavis in Jonesville FL to set up a time to fix my flat. It was a Saturday so they were very busy. All in all the service was good and Gregg at the front desk was excellent! Thank you!

Fantastic service at Mavis Tires & Brakes! I went in for a suspected tire repair after finding a nail, and they quickly confirmed it was only superficial and removed it on the spot. I was in and out in under 30 minutes—and they didn’t even charge me. Honest, kind, and efficient. Highly recommend!
I have trusted Mavis with my oil changes for a couple of years now. They always get me in and out and the staff are always informative and helpful. I always recommend this location to my friends and family! Today Greg checked me in and he was very pleasant and professional.
I was getting ready to go out of town when we noticed that I had a headlight out. A friend said she used Mavis Tires & Brakes near Tioga and gave them a call. After explaining that I was about to leave town they said to come on by and they’d take a look. A short time later I was on my way with my new head light. They could not have been nicer. I told them I would definitely be a return customer.
I Came in and had a flat tire with my twin teo yesterday old toddlers. I was taken care of as soon as possible, pretty much immediately, and they were so gracious. I had low pressure sign this cold morning in my vehicle. On checking all tires, I saw a nail in one of tires. I went this shop. Greg and Dallas were very helpful to fix my tire issue. Shop looked nice and clean and staff was knowledgeable and friendly. will definitely recommend this shop for your vehicle service needs.

Gregory at the counter was friendly, fast, and professional — really went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. The tire tech who came out to check my tire did an excellent job assessing it and making sure it was safe and savable.
Clean shop, great service, and I was in and out quickly. Can’t thank them enough for the hospitality and care, especially being from out of town. Five stars all the way!

Joel, Greg, Dallas, and Adam are angels. I needed my driver's side window fixed because it wouldn't go back up after I rolled it down. They helped get my window back up, told me what needed to be fixed, and didn't even charge for their help. Unfortunately it still needed to be taken to the dealership because it was an electrical problem, but they saved me from having my window down for several days until I could get the main problem fixed. They truly are in this business to help people. I will definitely be going to them for my tires and brakes in the future. They are truly so appreciated. Thanks again guys!!
We are in the process of moving and needed an oil change, thought Mavis would be a better option than jiffy lube or someone like that. WOW! I was way wrong. Noticed car leaking oil like a sive after wife brought car home from oil change. Took it back the next day and it took them 3 attempts to put oil filter on correctly. They finally said it was good, but wasn't, it still leaked. I took car to dealership and they finally fixed it. Seals were installed incorrectly on oil filter, if you can't perform something as simple as an oil change, you might want to second guess doing anything else. Not to mention I've never seen so much oil spilled on top of an engine in all my 50+ years. Absolutely unacceptable. I feel I'm lucky to have gotten out of there without my vehicle being destroyed. Shameful... I can't speak on behalf of any other Mavis just the one in Newberry FL as this is the first and last one I'll ever visit or recommend. Vehicles are too expensive to hire inexperienced people to work on them.
Quoted me $500 for a set of new tires, came in to get my new tires. After sitting there for 3 hours they realized they pulled and quoted me for the wrong sized tires. They only had one other option that was “compatible” for my car. Ended up paying an extra $200. And turns out the tires they put on are too big. They never made me aware that they were the wrong size.(Just so other people are aware, when you have the wrong size tires on your car it can affect your speedometer, which they also didn’t also inform me at the time)After they changed my tires they told me that I have two tires pressure sensors that are bad. Come to find out they didn’t put air in my new tires. I went home and checked the tire pressure and all the tires were a different psi. I highly recommend saving your money and your time and never coming here unless you want to deal with inexperienced and incompetent employees.
Came in for an oil change on my F-150. Setting up my visit was easy and the staff very friendly. They alert me to other issues they notice but don't pressure you to get them resolved right away. I will likely be a return customer.
Sunday before noon. Flat tire on horse trailer. Spare is wrong size so need a new tire pronto. They were busy. People waiting. But Alex looked me up, saw the need and got a new tire mounted in 20 minutes. Excellent service. To be honest, they were so busy that he had to tell two later customers that he couldn’t promise their work would be completed today, but he would make sure their flats would be ready Monday morning first thing. He was very polite, they were very rude. And both had tires they could have left - unlike me. So. I’ll keep my business with nice people like Alex who can discern inconvenience from an emergency (and my horse, Mr. Bean, appreciated it).
We were on our way to Orlando on a time crunch. Our tire shredded itself on the interstate. Out of all the tire shops we called, Mavis had the best repair time and great price. They got us back onto the road shortly after we arrived with our car on the tow truck. Amazing and friendly staff too. Saved our vacation and took care of us in our time of need at the last minute.
I took my F250 in to get a tire fixed, and they found it couldn't be fixed because of where the nail was. They offered me their brand and told me they didn't have the same one available. I told them I wanted the same tire, obviously! They told me they could get it. I told them that was fine. When I picked up the truck, it wasn't the same tire. Yes, the same brand, but not exactly the same. My tires have white letters, that's NOT true! To top it off, they only left me the tire with 42 lbs of pressure when it carries 65 lbs.The seller must have told me it wasn't the same color, and I wouldn't have accepted it. What they did do was do it extremely quickly.
These guys were great help to me today. I have a new car and randomly woke up with a very low tire. Adam was willing to get me in and check it out almost immediately. We communicated as needed into early afternoon and turned out to be a small crack on the interior of the wheel which I ended up taking to another great friend for repair. They did spend time on the car and at the end of the day charged me absolutely nothing, which I gladly would have payed for their time and great service. Highly recommend these guys!! They have great reviews for a reason!!!!
UPDATE: I absolutely do not recommend having your oil changed here and changed my review from 5 starts to 1. I had my oil changed as I was driving up to GA. I was told there may be a smell as some oil dripped but not to be worried over it, so I disregarded the smell. I got home late at night and left when it was still dark out. By the time I got to GA, my car was giving me alerts to immediately shut off my vehicle as my oil was that low. There was a puddle of oil under my car at the hotel, oil all under the hood, and the dip stick doesn’t even give a proper oil level reading. I’m now having to fork out more money to have someone else fix it so I don’t destroy my car and can make it back home. Turns out the O ring for the oil filter was never put on so oil has just been spilling out ever since. And the person house sitting for me sent me a photo of a large puddle in my driveway as well as a video of it leaking the entire drive out to the road.
From start to finish the gentleman here at Mavis were very professional. I scheduled an appointment online and within an hour I received a call confirming they’d see me at said time. When I arrived, there was hardly a wait on checking me in and getting my car pulled into the bay. While sitting and waiting, they made sure to keep me updated on the status of my vehicle.
