I took my sprinter van in and said it has been parked for a long time and I am about to take it on a long road trip. I trusted them to make sure things were safe to drive. After driving it 10 hours away it started a string of big problems. They didnt even check my fluids and all the fluids needed filled (except for the oil change that I requested). I realize now that I shouldn't trust and check fluids myself but I tried to trust them since they did good changing my alternator prior to this. After over 10k in repairs my van is still not running right. I'm still in the process of repairing everything that messed up.

Never again will i stop there. $65. Plus tax to install 1 tire on a rim. No balancing no removal of tire just install.

I needed a alignment. I got the car with an unaligned steering wheel. 50psi in 1 tire and the car pulled to the right. My mechanic just didn't care. Had to go back right away. I'll choose southern from now on.

ATTENTION TRUCKERS DO NOT USE. I would give them less stars if it were possible. I can't say they aren't good mechanics or that they can't safely tow a vehicle but I can say they have no business accepting a service call for a tractor trailer. They went 35 miles knowing they couldn't do anything just so they could charge me 626.00 for absolutely nothing because they were capable of doing absolutely nothing. Not to mention they lied to me and told me the charge was 550.00 first. Will be pursuing with my credit card company. TRUCKERS BEWARE

Barber's Auto Service is the best repair shop in the area! I have been taking my car to them since I started driving, about seven years ago. They always take the best car, without the extra costs. Reasonable pricing and always explain every aspect of what they will be doing to my vehicle, along with prices. As a woman who doesn't know much about cars, I feel incredibly comfortable knowing they won't do more than needed. The owner and his wife are incredibly kind, hard-working people. They always get me in and out as fast as possible, without skimping on the work. Brandon and Judd are also very knowledgeable mechanics.

Very quick and fair service from Barbers! Had a company truck have multiple failures in their area and they saved the day in record time. Communication was perfect. Would highly recommend them especially for the emergency fleet service that we needed. Thank you guys!

I am sorry to see the one stars because my experiences have been great. First time I used them was when my car just stopped on Main Street and Barbers came and towed my car to their shop. They fixed it and I was on my way. Recently I had to bring it back to the shop for another problem. Even though it wasn’t fixed the first time, the manager made sure it was fixed correctly the 2nd time and didn’t charge me anymore money.

Very sad to see this place go down hill so much in the past few years. Before I moved away from high springs in 2018, Barbers was my go to mechanic. Fair prices, honest and good service consistently, but hat could not be further from the truth now. Since moving back this year, I have brought our cars in for basic service a few times, and each time prices have been extremely high and issues with the vehicles have not been resolved. The worst was when I recently brought one of my cars in for an oil change. 4 hours after I dropped it off, I got a call from Lucky stating that the drain plug was stuck, and after working on it for 3 hours trying to get it out, they determined it would not come out and the whole oil pan would need to be replaced and quoted my $750 for it. I asked for a breakdown on the pricing, and they wanted to charge me twice retail from the manufacturer for parts! He said it was because the last shop who did an oil change overtightened the drain plug, so I contacted them to see if they would do the repair since they were responsible. They said "no problem", so I brought it in to them and they were horrified by what they saw. The drain plug was stripped and there were fresh scratches all over the oil pan and it was severely dented. It was clear that in the 3 hours of trying to remove the drain plug, Barbers damaged the plug and the oil pan severely, which is why the oil pan needed to be replaced. I called Lucky and he was extremely rude saying "there wasn't any damage to the oil pan, there's no way we did that". Throughout the conversation, he changed his story several times, finally telling me that the oil pan was already damaged. What was it, was it not damaged when I picked the car up, or was it already damaged when I brought it in? Couldn't get a straight answer from him, he just started shouting that he's not going to give away a free oil pan and that I can't prove they are the ones that damaged it. I decided to go in and talk to him in person, but he wasn't there when I arrived, so I spoke to one of the mechanics who remembered working on the car. He said there was never any damage to the oil pan, so it must have been the next shop to look at it that did it. However, the next shop called me back as soon as the car was on the lift to show me the damage, there's no way they did it. Overall, these guys are liars and don't take responsibility. It's sad to see there's others out there that have had similar experiences lately.

Liars & scammers. First experience with them, they charged me $60 to check my car for a leak, said it was a hose on the radiator & that they’d order the hose & contact me when it came in & that they could fix it. I never heard from them again, I don’t even think they ever ordered the part my car needed. Ok, whatever… it’s inconvenient for me, but could’ve been a simple mistake so I just got it handled elsewhere. Second experience, my car broke down at work one night, had to be driven home by a coworker. Next morning I called for a tow truck b/c they also offer a towing service, the guy otp said it would be a couple hours but he’d come by my house (I live really close by) to get my car key & he’d go pick up my car. I never got a call back & the guy never came to pick up my key or went to get my car. Thank god I had a buddy that was able to help after hours of waiting for the damn tow truck. That second experience will definitely be my last. 👎🏽

I went there for a wheel alignment after I replaced my driver side control arm. I was quoted $130 (discovered on credit card charged $135). I requested for a before and after print out of alignment - never received. Instead, a photo of after alignment image, via cell phone from technician. Let me continue from there! Posted ASE mechanics … 🤔. I’ll let you discern that one. Considering I was the last customer of the day, I drove back to the house realizing my steering wheel was not straight. My steering wheel was not centered. The technician never test drove the vehicle after completing the front alignment. I contacted the business owner the next business day. His reply was to drop the vehicle off and pick it up after three to five hours later. He was supposedly busy. I don’t see the busyness in that shop when I drive past it for the past 20+ years. Subsequently, I brought my business elsewhere and paid extra to have the steering wheel centered. “Lesson learned” Enclosing, I would think twice before you go there and get charged more than your quoted, plus the lack the quality workmanship to follow from his technicians who are supposedly ASE certified. Do your homework before you give somebody your hard earned money and regret what you get in return. Dissatisfied Customer! I would never go there again!

We were camping nearby and had a flat tire. Stopped in at 1030am on a Saturday and was out by 1045am. Fast, honest, courteous service. Couldn't be happier.

My daughter and her friends and family were stuck on 75 below this company for over 5hrs. They were told 30mins then it changed to 90mins. They prepaid to help the process. They ended up having to cancel because no one would show. They have a 70yr old woman with them to make matters worse. They were headed to key west for one of the girl’s wedding. This company ought to be ashamed of themselves along with other companies in the area not willing to help.

Had a slow leak in a tire. I used to live in the area so I knew they used to be reputable. I guess I made a mistake in mentioning that I was traveling, they knew my options were limited. They charged me $25 to plug a tire!!!

Had my 3500 dually break down on 27. Just needed a quick tow down the road to Newberry. The driver arrived quickly and got my truck and enclosed trailer back home safely. Will definitely use their towing service again should the need arise.

$$$$$ desperately needed an oil change and they were the only ones with an opening while in town. Explained the proper oil was shown on the windshield from last oil change. Put in WRONG type and used full synthetic after explaining to please look on sticker.

When I had a flat tire and no time or energy to put on the spare, they picked up my car, towed it to the shop, and it was ready the next morning. The charge was very reasonable. I’m very pleased with this company!

Suddenly developed a grinding sound in the front when applying the brakes. Immediately contacted repair shops in the area and Barbers said they would take an immediate look at the car. They did and found a brake caliber had failed. Kept it overnight for repairs, and picked the car up the next day. Fast service, friendly people, fair price.

The owners were very professional and although they didn’t have the tire I needed at the moment they told us they would have it the next day around 10am, and so they did! We came and in less than 30 minutes they had my tire installed and good to go. Highly recommended. Thank you so much for the great service.

If I could give these men a 100 I would!! Not only did they tow my car on a Sunday, they fixed it within two days! They were honest, knowledgeable, helpful and so kind! I'm not even from High Springs , I was visiting a friend, but these guys were amazing!! As we're the folks at Winn Dixie!! Thank you all!!

The only place in town I trust to take my car! I’ve received great service every time I needed a repair or maintenance and the prices are fair. The owner, Lucky, and mechanic, Walter, do great work. Highly recommend!

Tony is a mechanic/CDL driver there, he was very knowledgeable, helpful, and had a very professional/positive attitude. I was pretty upset about my motorcycle not running right when I brought it in (pushed in from stalling down the road). They were very good people and best prices around! Thanks guys I'll be back!

I had a driver stuck 25 miles from their shop. The guy on the phone was nice then called for payment and said it would be $1000 for a winch out. I’ve had many winch outs done with our trucks and have never paid over about $500 ...total price gouging 😡 never again

It's hard to trust people you dont know take care of your daughter in a bad situation, but I am happy with how everything turned out. You guys made my baby safe (took her to a safe location for pickup) and didn't take advantage of the situation. Thank you.

I went in to this place because it was local and heard about it on the radio. I had a screw in my tire ($440 Toyo R/T 37x12.5x20) expecting them to patch it from the inside but they decided to go the easy way and put a plug in it! I was MAD! They just made a small hole bigger! And then charged me $45! Never again! If they can't use common sense on something minor, then I definitely wouldn't use them for anything major! Small town bad business!

Made an appointment to have a complete alignment on our 2014 Chevy Silverado to include the canper, castor and toe in. They assured us that they would could and would do a complete alignment for $105 including tax. When the truck was picked up they were about to close so they were in a hurry to complete my transaction so they could go home. Upon checking the work that we were charged for we discovered that they only did the toe in--and the covers were left off of the tie rod ends. Since we do not live far a call was made right then to them letting them know that we were unhappy with the service and disappointed that the caps were left off. They hurriedly ok, ok, bring it in tomorrow and we fix it. When we brought truck back they at first claimed to have done complete alignment however they did provide the before and after print outs as requested when service was performed. When pushed for this information they admitted that they could only do the toe in and did not have the training to do the complete alignment altough they charged for it they would not refund any of the $105 we paid and they were rude and unwilling to bend. At that time we informed them that we would let everyone know NOT to use this business!! It used to be locally owned and you could trust their work--now they are owned by someone who quite frankly must not understand english very well--the manager/owner was not willing to listen and did not seem to understand the issue. He did not care that we were very disappointed and just wanted us to leave. We used this shop because we wanted to support locally owned businesses--we will never make that mistake again. We had to pay another shop $89 to have a complete alilgnment and they provided us with the before and after printouts with no problems at all. Mr. Barber would be very unhappy that his lovingly built up business is being ran by someone who does not care and overcharges for work that they can not even perform due to their "mechanics" not keeping up with their education. I have to wonder who the ASE certified mechanic is there and if they even have one--maybe they think they purchased the right to say they were ASE certified when they bought the business--or maybe they just don't have enough pride or care about the work they are doing. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP--THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AND WILL NOT RIGHT THEIR WRONGS.

Stopped by this business to inquire about a toyota camry they had for sale out front. Walked to the customer service area were a middle eastern man (manager) was standing behind the cash register working. I asked him if he was the one selling the toyota camry. He said yes. I then aked him how much he was asking for it and did he have a clean title in hand. The manager said $2600 and yes he had the title. When I asked to see the title and keys to check out the vehicle the manager seemed to get agitated. The manager then advised me in a rude manner that he wouldn't give me the keys until I gave him the money for the car. At this point I told him never mind I am not interested and walked out. It seemed like the manager did not understand the concept of checking out a vehicle thoroughly before you buy it, or was trying to hide something. Maybe a defect in the car or a salvaged rebuilt title ? Since this is a direct reflection of how they would treat a customer I will not be taking any of my vehicles here for any mechanical work. At any rate the brief experience I had at this business was very negative and seemed a bit shady. I would have given them a negative five stars but you have to select at least one star to post your review.
