I took my truck here for new ac compressor. After they did dionostic they called and said i need a new compressor and that the job before tax would be $1300. I asked for a copy of invoice to see the itemized charges, come to find out the a/c Delco compressor was $400. I didn't get how there was over $1000 in labor, but i thought that was way too much. When i go to pick up my truck to take it somewhere else, they charged me over $200 for dionostic, which by the way is not on the invoice they emailed me. Ive been to a lot of reputable shops in 43 yrs and never have i been charged for diagnostic, especially when i told them what i wanted done. After i took my truck to get the compressor fix i was told my coolant reserve cap was destroyed. In 3 yrs the only work i had done on my truck was oil change. The only folks dealing with my ac unit was Jerry's. The staff was entitled and had an attitude because i decided to not get the work done there, this is where the $200 dionostic changes that weren't on invoice came about. Just felt scammed with these folks.
I could not recommend Jerry's Auto Shop more!! My compressor and A/C died in the middle of the summer and they were able to squeeze me in after the first place I took my car tried to rip me off. They are very professional, attentive and just as kind, highly recommend!!
Jerry's did the hard job of my AC evaporator which includes removing the entire dash from my 2011 Ford Escape. They did this and replace the AC lines that another shop installed improperly a few weeks before. These guys are old-school solid mechanics.

I called eight days prior to get my truck looked at. The owner son Talk to me, I had took my truck and a couple other family vehicles there before. Anyway, he said just bring it in next Thursday. I showed up today. with no appointment scheduled it was just a bullshit phone call blah blah blah bring it in whatever. With another customer, they are complaining about his exhaust falling off his car after they put it on and he was traveling so he had to have it fixed on the road. But anyway, the owner son looked at me and said if you would like to bring it back next Wednesday we can look at it. I walked out.
Shop was busy, probably because of the owners reputation. I waited an extra day but the work was done right. I was not disappointed. Oh, and he gave me a first time customer discount.
This shop replaced my engine and within 60miles my transmission went out, don't trust the smiles they are crooks and don't wanna own up to there mistakes. I'm a 8year army veteran in imvery honest about things.

Note: Jerry's sends a link to customers asking about their service. At least in my profession, those "email your patient" services filter out the bad reviews and post only the good ones to Google. Buyer beware. The Jerry's shop was OK; not great. I went for AC diagnostics. When I arrived I was told about the $150 service charge -- which I hadn't been advised of when I made my phone appointment to drop off the car (which was a few days after I called -- they are a busy shop). But $150 is fair. It was a little more that $150 after "shop supplies." They didn't advise me on the time to get back in touch but I was chill. About 30 hours later they called with the bad news: $2200 estimate. The car ain't worth it. When I picked up the car, the real quote was north of $2400, so if I had said OK, that would have been sticker shock.
Dropped the vehicle off Friday waiting for parts at the moment because it's an old vehicle it's in to have a new compressor for the A/C and Drivers door window mechanism hope to have it back by Wednesday so far I'm pleased with the service I'm receiving.
Jerry’s was absolutely awesome! I had bought a van recently and it had a warranty. The engine blew and Jerry’s made sure that every part was covered. They stayed in touch with the warranty company so I didn’t have to. Now I have a fantastic van that I can trust in again. Thank you Jerry’s!
Jerry's gave me great service as long as I lived in Gainesville. They came recommended when I was having brake problems. They did the job for about half of what the dealership across the street was going to charge. The one time I had issues with a repair they did, Jerry provided follow up work free of charge. If you are looking for a straight shooting mechanic, it's hard to do better than Jerry's.
Jerry is very professional and gives you the proper advice as to what services are recommended for your car. His staff is courteous and diligent when performing maintenance and repairs. Highly recommend his shop.

In the middle of July, I made the mistake of visiting the dealership where I get my tires rotated when my AC stopped blowing cold air. They told me my compressor and expansion valve needed to be replaced and came back with an estimate that amounted to what my car was worth. I spent roughly 3 weeks visiting different shops to get a different opinion which was unanimously that I only needed my compressor replaced, a part that doesn’t cost more than $200. It still took that long to find a shop that would get the job done without throwing in unnecessary services and charges. Not only did Jerry’s give me an estimate that made sense, they had the part ready the day I called and had me on the road with AC again the very next morning. Getting multiple opinions and going to Jerry’s meant the difference between driving another 100K+ miles in my Toyota Corolla and taking out a car loan over a worn out $200 part. I’ll be back at Jerry’s for my next service without a doubt.

I took my 2002 Nissan truck into Jerry’s as a referral from my brother who also had work done there. I needed a new fan clutch and thermostat. They did a great job and were very thorough to make sure truck no longer overheated. They gave me an estimate for another problem I was having and plan to get that done as well. I was satisfied with their communication and timely manner to get truck fixed.
I was extremely pleased with Jerry’s AC and would recommend them to anyone. They did a great job diagnosing my electrical issue and took care of it. They also went out of their way to fix what a previous mechanic did to the car, causing issues with the electrical issue. Honest, fair prices and quality work!

Easily the most pleasant and efficient auto service I've ever had. Jerry's A/C took my car in immediately. They vacuum de-pressurized my AC system, lubricated, re-filled, and had it working again in 45 minutes! Not to mention their prices are fair and their customer service was friendly and polite.
