They “fixed my bumper” only to break both my tail lights and then say “drive home with your flashers and take it to your dealer. Bad service. Unwilling to help.

Had an appointment 5-2-25 for an estimate from Hail Damage; I was treated with absolute disrespect by the estimator who failed to talk to me and had the receptionist basically tell me to leave after refusing to do an estimate unless I authorized them for the work. Called my insurance agent and she talked to the estimator and got his view of what was needed - however no explanation for the poor customer service. I will not go back to Gerber (Gainesville) or recommend them to anyone unless I get an apology (NOT LIKELY). Thank you for your response. Yes Christine did try to reach me, rather than open with an apology, she simply stated " i would like to TALK to your about your visit'; given the cold nature of this response I sent her a text suggesting she get the facts from the at least two employees involved in the visit. She did try to reach me yesterday when I was driving and will call her back. Unfortunately for your company your customer service unwittingly led me to the solution for the Hail Damage on a Leased Car. This matter has been closed out! My time and 60 years of engineering, business, law, entrepreneurship and other experience would only benefit your company if we were to address your customer service issue, which was not likely an isolated incident. My only suggestion is for the Gainesville Branch to get some training from the home office. Respectfully /Michael/

Had significant damage to the front of my car and they made it look brand new. Took some time but it was very smooth and they gave clear communication. They know what they’re doing.

This location is not reliable they had my vehicle for 31 days i was told several times my vehicle would be ready. I exhausted my limit for my rental and was told by gerber collision that the days would be covered by them. I was charged for the rental overage which put my account in the negative. due to this my bank has charged me overdraft fees so i called to get the situation resolve and was rudely told it wasn't their fault... Not to mention i was told atleast 5 different dates as to when my vehicle would be ready and even the actual day it still wasn't ready!! I paid my $500 deductible even though my vehicle wasn't finished... I would like a refund for the rental and the overdraft fees that were applied to my account.

ABOVE AND BEYOND! 5-stars for customer service and ease with handling an insurance claim. Gerber was amazing at helping us make this car repair easy, working with us and our schedule since we only have one car. They did a great job with the repair, the car looked new. And they even washed our car! WOW! The customer service by Meghan and Christine was AMAZING. And the superstar of the show was Isaiah! He was SO helpful in communicating to us what was going on and maintaining the communication with GEICO. All of them when above and beyond to make our wait time extra comfortable. DEFINITELY CHOOSE GERBER on 33rd street if you need collision or auto body repair. You will be very happy!

Thus far, they're doing great. I dropped my truck off earlier this week. Estimator has been doing great job keeping me updated on the status. Everyone I dealt with so far has been very professional. Truck isn't completed yet but hopefully soon. I am almost certain this Gerber will do as good a job as the Gerber I used in Port Charlotte FL 4 years ago.

People are nice. It has been 5 months and they still cannot fix my bumper. Every time I go there is an issue with a part that is ordered, they do not look at the parts when they arrive to inspect them, only when placing them in the car. They have broken parts on my car while putting it back together and never said anything until I notice the problem. They have released the car to me now 3 or 4x with visible issues, but tell me the car is ready.

The staff is good but can’t say the same for technicians. My 2012 Toyota Prius was there for more than 4 months including the thanksgiving holidays. The manager was kind to offer me a loner car as courtesy but my car never got fully fixed and the reason given was the part backlog. I’m still making rounds trying to get it fixed, no luck so far.

Another one: crash was in September last year and there hasn't been much communication about parts arriving or anything. There was a mark on my window from my last trip there. My trunk won't fully open now and there's a loud rattling from the window. Noticed that theres spots in the back where it looks like they painted over dirt. Went to corporate to at least find another location to take the car. Missed out on upgrading my leased car. Nothing has been resolved yet except for some of the white paint or primer being wiped off though there's still a lot all over the car. Update: Still waiting on those parts after 6 months I was told if I found a place they would pay for it. Found a place that could get it in a day. Reached out and I can't get an answer. I found the SE that goes on the back of my car was still in the bag under the gas pedal and not on the car itself. The customer service was amazing. Super professional and nice. The car runs great and feels like i was never in an accident. However, due to ordering the wrong parts multiple times I had to wait a lot longer before getting my car back. When i did get it, i was told to bring the car back when they got the last 2 parts in, a reflector and one of my tail lights. Still haven't heard anything. The back window that was installed distorts things behind me as well, and there was primer or some kind of paint on my driver side seat, and some kind of black stuff stuck to the inside of my door. There was also a new scratch on the inside of my door going all the way through the paint to the metal.

Ok. So I just left Gerber on 33rd and absolutely had to review ASAP! Charlie and his wife and team were kind, diligent, caring, they took their time to leave the car impeccable and did a beautiful paint job. I had previously had an issue with my bumper and the job done before somewhere else left lots to talk about. But this time, after someone tried to steal my bumper breaking some parts…Gerber left the job as if the car were new. The pain job is impressive. To top it off, two things: first, the staff had originally given me a heads-up about the timing being about 10 days. When I came to drop off my car and get a rental (right there as well), I was told it would be shorter. I had already planned a trip and a shorter pick-up date would really ruin my plans. But when I called in to inform about the inconvenience to have to cut my trip, Barbara handled everything super well. She put herself as if in my situation and asked me to please enjoy my travels worry-free about my car. Indeed, all worked out perfectly, and in no better timing did my car come out of repairs. And last, when I was given the lifetime warranty on my paint job and the specs on not taking it to abrasive car washes nor waxing until the paint was fully dry (30-60 days), Charlie offered to wash the car for me! In fact, they wash all cars so the client is always happy. Yip! That is me!

All employees are super nice. These truck repairs are from auto accident, that being said some of the repairs were not approved so they couldn't do them. On the other hand their are other marks on truck that weren't there when I gave them the truck..said maybe garage door. Well I don't have a garage door so, no that's not it. Also sap on hood too. So alittle disappointed amd will have to bring truck in to be touched up. Added a few pics but not all.

I was a wreck rookie! They made the whole experience SO easy for me to deal with. I was apprised of repair status the entire time, and was completed earlier than estimated. The repair work was so well done it was like nothing ever happened, and I know there's a rock solid warranty on their work! And they even washed the entire car so everything looks perfect again! Thank you, Everyone at Gerber!

BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!!! I am adding to this review because if you look at replies, you will see one from Gerber. They stated that the manager of the shop I went to has been trying to contact me (I think his name is Charlie). This is not true. I have a landline and a cell phone and I have received no calls from Gerber to "address my concerns". Gerber has told a lie which leads me to believe I am correct about the additional damage to my vehicle being done on purpose to increase their billing . My original post is below. I hit a deer the 1st of December 2020. Damage to my truck involved the grill, the bumper with fog lights, and the passenger side headlight. My insurance company gave me a list of body shops and I chose Gerber in Gainesville, FL on 33rd Ave. as it was rated A+ Preferred by my insurance company. An appointment was made for me to take my truck there on 12/7/2020. I drove my truck until then. I used the air conditioning on warm days and the heat when it was cool. No problems. I watched the gauges and everything was running within normal limits. I live in the country so anywhere I go, its 20 to 40 minute drive. No issues. On 12/7 I dropped off my truck at Gerber and they were very friendly. The rep went out with me to look at the truck, he took pictures and marked the damage. I took the rental they had waiting for me and went home. Later that night, having nothing to do, I was browsing my insurance companies site, and noticed the claims icon. I clicked on it and was looking at my claim and THERE WERE PICTURES from Gerber. Wow did I learn something. Apparently, the damage my truck came in with was not enough. Now, the fender is damaged, my condenser has holes in it, I have a dent in the hood, and they ripped off my hemi logo. I of course went there first thing in the morning, told them not to touch my truck, filed a complaint with my insurance company, and had my truck moved to another shop. If you take your vehicle to this shop, keep a close eye on it. Maybe I was a special case, maybe they do this all the time so they can bill more, I do not know. I spoke to my insurance company as I feel Gerber should pay my deductible. The extra damage and increased time without my vehicle was caused by Gerber. I was only supposed to be without my vehicle for a week as the damage was not major. It has now been over a month because of the more extensive repairs needed, and the holiday's. Of course my insurance company said what I asked was not possible from their end so I am considering small claims court. The pictures attached show my truck immediately after hitting the deer. You see there is no damage to the passenger side fender. Then there is a picture of how they damaged the fender and the condenser.

I was rear ended and Gerber took really good care of my car. The service was AMAZING! I’m big on customer service and this company surpassed my expectations. Every person I met was friendly. I also loved how fast the service was. Within about 15 minutes, I had all of my paperwork signed and I was into my rental. When the finished, my car looked amazing and I’m extremely satisfied. This is a honest review!

I came here for some body repair after being rear-ended everything went incredibly smoothly and easily. The work was high quality, was completed quickly, and they even washed the car which was a nice bonus. They had great communication the whole time and completed the work quickly and ahead of schedule. I can't comment on the price because this was paid for by the other driver's insurance so I didn't shop around. I'm taking one star off only because some of the staff didn't wear masks when I was inside of the office.

I went to Gerber to fix my bumper/fender and I am extremely satisfied with my experience! Everyone was very accommodating and professional. There were several people who were willing to answer all of my questions and notified me every day of the progress of my vehicle. The rental service with Enterprise was also great, providing me with a car while I had mine repaired! I worked with Dave at Gerber, Thomas Reid at Geico, Garrett Scott at Enterprise, and the kind lady at the front desk as well.

I went to Gerber last week to get a quote for a front bumper repair. They were so genuine and honest, and they really helped us out! Dave noticed the damage was mainly paint transfer, and he wiped it off for us. He was very honest about the damage to my car and did not try to charge me for unnecessary work. He even helped us out and removed the tree sap from my car so it wouldn't stain the paint. I truly appreciate what Dave and Gerber did for my car.

When someone backed into my Honda Odyssey, I took my vehicle to Gerber Collision & Glass to have it repaired. Dave and his team provided excellent service! He took the vehicle back quickly to get the repairs started, and the front desk helped to arrange a rental car pickup. During the repair process Dave kept me up-to-date on the progress. The car was repaired earlier than promised, the body work looked like new, and the car had been cleaned on the inside and outside. Highly recommend Gerber, and thanks to Dave for his great service!

Utter garbage. Paint color off by 2 full shades. Pinstriping applied half inch lower than the other side. Overspray on mirror. Broke the side panel on drivers seat in the process and above all else they never even bothered to prep the surface to be painted because they just painted over the old pinstriping. They actually left the pinstriping on the car and painted over it. Complete garbage work.

Gerber did an AMAZING job with my car. It’s been over 6 months and the paint job is completely spotless. More importantly, every single person there is friendly, helpful, and efficient. My car was fixed in just a few days and everything was catered to my work schedule. Thanks a lot!
