If i could give 0 stars I would! Rude people, no help, items all over the place with no idea where to find what we needed. They claimed to have what we needed but truly had no clue where or how to find it.
Very good people that work there and the owner Is a very good man and is considerate and very respectful. They will work with you in every way they can
Arrogant and very arrogant people. The ladies that work there, one is the daughter of the owner are very sarcastic. They're hard to talk to. I called them on the phone and they're very sarcastic. They don't practice courtesy and absolutely no patience answering the phone. Impolite, arrogant and no customers satisfaction. Very bad experience. I had a better experience with another auto salvage yard because their workers are polite and respectful. Very disappointing experience very arrogant people.
I called the week before & they said they had the part i needed but they had to check to make sure. They said they would call me back. I called the next day and they said they still didn’t check. Took them 3 days to even call back but they finally said they had it. So I asked them if they could hold it , they said they couldn’t. So I said alright I’ll be there on Saturday to get it. I call an hour before I was coming to get it, to let them know I was coming to get the part & they said they couldnt pull it until they got payment which is understandable. So I get there and pay and wait for 30 minutes just for them to tell me that they just sold the part to someone else that same day just before I got there. Extremely unprofessional. I’m really upset because I told them several times and even called just before I got there.
Not many yards will let you in to hunt for parts and/or research. I'm a mechanic and I like to pull parts from a vehicle that I can check out for clues about the possible condition of what I'm getting into, and to help me understand how best to do the work.
The staff are reasonable and easy to deal with. Sometimes I go just to see what's new in the inventory.
Great people and a great place for a used car, truck, minivan and tractor trailer (CABS) they also can help you if you need parts for a car at the salvage yard on whitesville Road MITCHELLS SALVAGE YARD! Check them out for the next used car. Ask if you don't see what you want they may be able to get it or have it somewhere not on the lot at the time!!
Place is garbage, two guys behind counter and no one can print a receipt,spent 2 days there waiting for secretary, got a door and fender and nobody knows how to work computer so as far as auto theft unit is concerned I stole them, do not go there for anything
PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE! THE OWNER TERRY SOLD ME THE WRONG MOTOR. HE TOLD ME IF I HAD ANY PROBLEMS, I'M SAFE BECAUSE I HAVE A 30 DAY WARRANTY. I CALLED HIM WITHIN A WEEK AFTER MY MECHANIC LOOKED AT IT AND TOLD ME THAT ISN'T THE RIGHT MOTOR FOR MY CAR. I CALLED THE OWNER UP HE GOT STRAIGHT HOSTILE, SAID HE THOUGHT HE SOLD ME THE RIGHT ONE AND TOLD ME ITS NOT REALLY NO ONES FAULT HE THOUGHT THE MOTOR WAS THE RIGHT ONE FOR MY CAR. I ASKED FOR A REFUND DUE TO ME STILL BEING IN A 30 DAY WARRANTY AND HE PROCEEDED TO YELL AND SAY I WASNT GETTING ANY MONEY BACK! HE EVEN HUNG UP THE PHONE. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THE FULLEST!!!! HE IS RUDE! I CALLED BACK SEVERAL TIMES AND HE PRESSED IGNORE. ONE OF HIS EMPLOYEES GAVE ME HIS CELL NUMBER. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE RUNNNNNNN! I had to leave a star in order to post this review other than that this dump deserves none!!!!!
Very rude counter person my caller called to ask if I was done getting part I said no not yet and man behind counter in RUDE TONE SAID it's not a 10 minute job ,you should know because you just took starter off before coming here ,I told him yea it took me 20 minutes. First of all no one was angry nor complaing about how long it was taking , to warrant a comment like that from him. Iam a business owner and would never speak to a friendly customer like that,I feel sorry for the employees if they get spoken to in that manner .there are plenty other places to get better service so one should think about that before you bite the hand that feeds you. NEVER AGAIN and had I had more time to spare I would have taken my business elsewhere. The PART WAS FINE NO COMPLAINTS on that but will not use this buisness again or recommend it ..
I called to get a part for my car they had it pulled off by the time I got to the yard. They were busy with customers coming and going but were still prompt and courteous.
Drove all the way from across the bridge got there at 430 after I called for a part and get there after I left my work early and no were closed come back tomorrow..
Mitchell's was a treasure trove of broken dreams and great opportunity. The staff always had an astounding knowledge of their inventory and had reasonable pricing. This yard was more or less a pile of cars sitting in a swap with little to no organization; you didn't wear your sunday's best and you got to experience the joy of "the hunt".
Every single trip into this yard was literally an expedition into the unknown.
I called for a part they assured me that they would return the call to let me know whether or not they had the part . They did return the call and assured me that they had to part and would have the part off by the time I got there they had the part off and ready. I wasn't sure it was right part the gentleman walk me out to my vehicle and showed me that it was exactly the right part. And then apologize and pay for my part. I was very pleased with their service.
They had exactly what I was looking for and needed. Plus side will I was there i was able to find other parts and pieces that need it and was hard to find.
