Me and my buddy have been customers of Seymour Auto for quite a while. Weve both junked a couple cars with them and the people in the office were always helpful and gave us a great deal for them. Weve also bought and picked up parts from their warehouse in Ansonia a bunch of times for the trucks and cars we work on then sell. Always dealt with Joe when we went. He was very knowledgeable and we had some great conversations too. However, a few months ago he left and a young girl started working there. I think her name is Lisa or something. She’s definitely not as people friendly as Joe was. Doesn’t seem like she likes being there. We’ve dealt with the two other guys that work there too a couple times. They're like Joe was. Anyways I’ve been in recovery for 16 years. I try to stay away from anywhere there would be alcohol and drug use. Unfortunately I’m gonna have to find a new place to give my business to. Not long after the girl stated working there, me and buddy noticed it would smell like marijuana whenever we went in. You could tell it’s her because her eyes are always bloodshot and she’s definitely high. I swear she’s drinking on the job too or going in drunk because we both have smelt alcohol on her. Even though I’m 16 years into being sober, the smells still trigger me. Now after seeing the last review on here about a mom and her kid actually seeing her smoking outside the building, and the response from the company, I hoped things would change. But we were in the other day after that was posted. And it doesn’t seem like Seymour Auto addressed anything. The girl still works there, and I could tell she’s still smoking while at work. The smell and her demeanor are dead giveaways. I’ve been a long time customer but I can’t support a company that supports this kind of behavior.
My boyfriend and I stopped at Seymour Auto’s parts warehouse in Ansonia to pick up a part for his car recently. I stayed in the car with our son while he went in. While we were waiting, my son says “What’s that smell?” I noticed a girl there smoking. I knew right away what it was. I tried telling my him it must’ve been a skunk. But he’s 13 and said “Mom really? Skunks aren’t out in the winter. I bet she’s smoking weed! ”. She noticed me staring and went inside the building.
I know marijuana is legal now in CT. But I don’t think it’s right to have an employee smoking it right outside the building where customers, especially children, can see and smell. Then going back to work after getting high. It’s not professional or respectful to customers.
The company seems like a great one and obviously people have great experiences with them. But we will not be using them again after that unfortunately.
Was looking on e bay for a used altenator which I found @Aeymour Auto Wrecking. Spoke with Eddie who was very helpful and.polite! Eddie made.it easy, gave him the vin and made me an offer I could ot refuse! Great service which is rare these days. Seymour Augo Wrecking caters to real people like me trying to save a $. Plus he even delivered it free of charge!!! Thk u again.
My son's car finally died beyond repair so I called a few places to junk it and Seymour Auto Wrecking was the best solution. They gave us a better than expected price and the tow was quickly scheduled and completed on time. Heather and Travis were both very professional and a pleasure to work with!
Five star service! Edward was helpful and patient finding the part I needed and remaining on the line to guide me through the secure credit card link (although it was past closing time). Very friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring.
I purchased a used body control module for my 2000 Accord. Unfortunately, I was unable to install it within the 30 day window for returns, but the part ended up being junk. Looks like parts aren't tested prior to sale.
I bought Engine + Transmission from Edward and the whole experience went smoothly. The part was exactly as described, clean, and arrived on time. Communication was quick and clear, and he made sure I knew what to expect before shipping. The install went well and the unit runs strong. I’d buy from him again without hesitation.

The staff there were very helpful and kind. The part i went for had a crack in it so they found another one and cleaned the part for me. The prices there are very reasonable and the staff there are very knowledgeable. They went above and beyond even offering to walk the part to my car for me! Great experience overall! I am a 74-year-old senior citizen and I purchased a vehicle from a used car place in July. I was never told that it had electrical problems. I've already had to have a PCM replaced and now I needed an under hood fuse box.
I have been searching online for days. I came across Seymour Auto wrecking this morning and they got back to me immediately. The man that I dealt with was Marvin. This man not only found the part for me but he put up with all my questions and uncertainties. Honestly, he had the patience of a saint. Seymour Auto Wrecking was great. It was as easy and seamless as it could be. Joe called when he was on his way and was right on time. (He's a really nice guy, too!) No hassle paperwork, transaction done. The car was drivable onto the flatbed, so that saved a little time, but the whole thing took maybe 15 minutes. Quality used parts at very reasonable prices. One of the few salvage yards I've gotten parts from that were exactly as stated & were not problematic at all. They even contacted me before shipping to verify VIN numbers to make sure I was getting exactly what I needed. Parts I've ordered from them even came with a good warranty.

I called Seymour Auto on a Thursday and they were out Friday morning! Heather who I spoke to in the office about junking two cars, was nice and helpful! Robert who came to take the cars was quick and respectful of my property. All around great and simple process. Will definitely recommend and use them again if need be!!
