Sal is 1000% excellent. I called him at 11PM on a Saturday night in zero degree weather to tow a heavy truck off Route 84 and he immediately sent Kenny out. I called other towing companies and they laughed at me or just hung up on me. Sal stepped up and bailed me out. I am extremely grateful. His equipment is first class and his billing software made it easy for me to pay online. Thanks Sal!!!

I got a flat on I-91 at night in a rain storm and couldn't get the tire off on my own. Nelcon showed up soon after I called, and helped me get the tire off and the spare on so I wouldn't need to be towed. The driver was very nice and helpful.
My Rav 4 was parked in a very low parking garage when the starter went. I called AAA & was told they didn’t have the equipment to get it out & basically I was on my own. My car was stranded there for 2 nights. Someone sent me the info on Nelcon & from the moment Gary picked up the phone, I knew I was in good hands. Within 2 hours of my call he had my Rav out & delivered to my mechanic. They are a company I would highly recommend & I am so happy that good customer service still exists! Many thanks!
Everyone there is extremely lazy and acts like they couldn’t care less whether you have somewhere important to be or not. They take their sweet time with everything and move at a snail’s pace, no sense of urgency whatsoever. On top of that, when the bill comes, you’ll be charged out an outrageous prices for the most basic services imaginable.
It’s clear that customer service isn’t a priority here — they just want your money. I would never recommend this place to anyone who values their time or their wallet.
They did an excellent job of caring for my vehicle after my spouse was in an accident nearby. Sal the owner made sure my vehicle was segregated from other crashes in the lot until the insurance adjuster had been able to inspect the vehicle. The professionalism of his team was greatly appreciated in the midst of an otherwise difficult situation.
Nelcon was dispatched by state police to come pick up my vehicle after an incident. I already knew the repair facility I wanted my vehicle to go, but a dispatcher named Gary refused to let me take my vehicle where I wanted to have it towed. He insisted it was federal law after a police dispatch tow to have the vehicle be impounded for 1 day. And his exact words to me were " your vehicle is a total loss today and it will be a total loss tomorrow so it doesn't matter whether the vehicle is released today or the next day." No compassion for the situation at hand, as corporative as I was. As a worker in the automotive industry, I would never treat a customer who just went through something traumatic as poorly as he did. Yes Nelcon, brought my vehicle off the scene. But the audacity to harbor my vehicle for a day's worth of storage. I will never willingly dispatch Nelcon to tow any vehicle after this experience.
These guys towed my truck from Darien Service Plaza while I was having breakfast and drinking coffee, after I went to them, they said they didn't see me on the cameras, although I showed a bank statement in which there were transactions for coffee and food. This company is purely a scam. And most likely they just hack your truck and drive it to the yard if they want to tow it. I haven't been near the truck for about 1 hour!! So be careful, if you want to eat or go to the toilet, you can go out and the truck is gone.
Gary from Nelcon towing is the best in the industry. (Plainville Area) My parents were stranded in a SUV that didn't have a spare tire and I was 2 hours away and Gary got my parents and their vehicle home quick. I can't thank him enough for his kind service and professionalism. Gary is the man!!!! No need to go anywhere else!!!
Shout out to Nelcon Towing for assisting me and my wife this morning in Wallingford after being the 4th towing company dispatched they were able to get us taken care of through my TMobile / AAA Roadside service. a big thanks to the people at Nelson for taking care of our towing needs after the fuel pump failed on our truck. From dealing with the dispatcher to the 3 professional drivers that came out to tow out truck and trailer all were friendly and knew there jobs. when your stuck on the side of the road it seams like forever until the tow trucks show up but in fact they made the 50 mile drive out to us in about an hour. the care the driver took to unhook and load the truck on there roll back and then hook up our 48' trailer to another truck was 2nd to none!

I had some trouble with my car late after leaving work and required a tow and when AAA told me it would be an hour and a half I was not happy, but understood. Shortly after Selena the tow truck driver called me and gave me an actual timeframe update which was very fast and also was very sweet and understanding of my car trouble situation.
Also, previous to this had a horrible accident that totaled my vehicle before and Nelcon was on the scene to tow my car on the highway and were also amazing with the process of getting my belongings after such a horrific accident.
Overall great experience twice in a matter of 2 years. Definitely recommend for all services.

I just wanted to compliment the management and staff, especially Nick J. They were so very welcoming and supportive. They were able to address my vehicle's situation and handled everything so well. I wanted to be sure everyone knows how great they are and how they worked with us and always kept us in the loop. Nick J. really worked hard to get our vehicle back to us as quickly as possible, which was tough to do since it was during Christmas and New Years. We went two weeks without our car and we are so grateful to have it back now.
Great customer service ! These guys are awesome ! Highly recommend. My daughter's car was dropped off at a wrong location from another towing company. I called Nelcon, spoke to Gary who immediately dispatched a flatbed to pick her car up and had it dropped off at my mechanic in Farmington. I had driven an entire overnight for Uber and was exhausted! Going back and forth to New York multiple times. On my way home to North Haven, I ran out of gas right front of the North Haven Cumberland Farms. A Nelcon Driver happened to be driving by and didn’t hesitate to stop to see how he could help me. He helped me get my car over to the Cumberland Farms gas station, pumped the gas for me, and made sure that my car was OK before he left. I wish I got this employee’s name but he was my guardian angel this morning. I Cannot say enough good things about this employee or Nelcon due to the fact that they choose to employ this Gentleman. Got a flat tire at 6:00AM, called AAA and they couldn’t get the tire off to fit the spare so they towed the car to BJs Tire Service. They couldn’t do it either. At 11:30AM after calling AAA again we got a technician named Mike from Nelcon. They were super nice and friendly, and fixed the problem quickly, fit the spare, and called ahead to get us a quick appointment for a new tire. Jeff and Christopher (also Nelcon) helped us out with the tire had it ordered and on the car within an hour. 10/10 service.
My boat was totaled in an accident on the highway in Meriden Conneticut on June 1st at 530 A.m. Police responded quickly, and so did Nelcon. They came with a flatbed truck as the boat trailer was untowable. Sal who was the tow truck driver at the time did and excellent job in getting boat, trailer and engine which was on the ground onto the flatbed, secured and hauled off the highway to Nelson’s holding lot, where it was safely secured until I was able to retrieve my personal belongings from the boat. Hope I never need to use their service again, but when I needed them they were there, and did a great job on all services. Thanks again, Paul Averill

I was involved in a serious car accident about three weeks ago. Nelcon was the company that was dispatched by the state police to tow my car. I have to be honest, I was not excited to have to deal with a tow yard.
That being said, they have set an amazingly hight standard for their competitors. I am beyond amazed at how professional they have been throughout my interactions with them.
Their dispatch and front desk team have gone above and beyond what they are required to do for someone. They are friendly, professional and courteous.
I cannot say enough good things about them. They made the whole process of dealing with a totaled car seamless and you can tell they really do care about their customers.
I really hope this message gets to their ownership, because they need to know they are doing something right. They will never know the difference their team made by going above and beyond. It means the world and I know they don't hear that enough! So thank you Nelcon, you have an incredible team!!!
Tow truck driver Salena arrived on the scene of my accident very quickly and did a great job loading my vehicle safely and efficiently. She gave me a ride back to the tow low lot and was very professional and nice. Lot owner and Salena's father Sal was also very courteous and easy to work with, providing great customer service as I dealt with the scrapping of my vehicle. Great family business, would work with again for future services.
In the unfortunate situation that my car got towed I couldn't have had a better tow service show up! Sal & Selina were VERY helpful! Sal helped me with AAA gave me helpful tips, their prices are BEYOND fair! Overall he was friendly, honest & helpful! Selina took very good care of my car! My car is lowered & usually it scrapes on a flatbed but they did it PERFECTLY! She is a very sweet, friendly, helpful professional!

Nelcon Service Center provided the best service I have ever received. I am from out of state and had my car breakdown at a nearby rest stop. Their staff stayed late on a Friday night just to be sure I was able to make my way home. They are knowledgeable and efficient. All the staff was kind and made me feel comfortable and safe as I waited for my car. I highly recommend Nelcon.
We had an excellent experience with Nelcon Service Center. My daughter's car died around 100 miles from home. A tow truck from Nelcon was our first contact. The driver was helpful and friendly. When Nick checked the car out the next day, he gave me a diagnosis and an approximate cost, then some time to figure out what to do. He also gave me some alternatives for engine repair. My contact with Nelcon was nothing but professional, friendly and helpful. The bill was more than reasonable. We are very grateful for his help. If we ever get stuck in Meriden CT, we would definitely use their service again. Would definitely recommend for anyone in the area.
Ryan gets FIVE Stars. He was the most polite and accommodating recovery Service employee I’ve ever met. He town me twice in two days. He was an experienced and competent driver who could easily hook up and take down your vehicle without a long delay in traffic stoppage or any further damage to your vehicle.

Being stuck on the side of the road stranded can be scary, they made it all better. They took care of everything, even dropped it off a day early.
I was towing a car back from CT to VT on a Saturday when we broke down. 4 lane highway with morning traffic. Called AAA and they dispatched Nelcon. They were there within a half hour. I sadly do not remember the gentleman's name but he made me feel at ease. He said not to worry about anything, saying he was going to take my vehicle back to their shop and they would bring my vehicle back up to VT on Monday. Was very polite, nice and had a few good jokes to calm everybody down. He even grabbed my drink I had forgotten in the car before we left.
The next day on Sunday I had a call from a very polite woman (Sierra) saying she had my car at the drop off and just needed payment. I paid everything and we were good to go. Today while writing this, I noticed they even take pictures of it dropped off with your receipt! We do not have service like this around me and it makes me wish we did.
Really nice and friendly people and excellent service. I broke down near Waterbury, they came and towed me to their shop. Sal introduced me to their mechanic to see if he knew what could possibly be the problem. I ended having them tow the truck back to Pa.
