D & L Towing Services JunkYard in New Haven (CT)

I've had several interactions with D&L over the last year and all were positive. Most recently I had a box truck stuck in the mud on a miserable rainy Saturday night. The driver who responded was great and even knocked a little bit off the initial quote. In my experience, faster than AAA too. Would recommend!

Had a parking pass when I lived in my apartment complex but apparently it was out dated according to them but was never told by my management (up reality) the company refused to reimburse and took months to get an updated one! It is illegal to only offer cash only I will be calling the dmv to make a formal complaint as everyone else on here should!

Called to inform someone was in my parking spot where I lived. Tried to inquire about where I should park in the meanwhile, was unwilling to answer any questions and hung up in the middle of a conversation and unwilling to give an estimate of time.

This towing company works with my apartment complex owned by UpRealty (look them up to see how horrible they are) to get cars towed who don’t have parking permits although they fail to provide tenants with parking permits. We were told several different things since moving in a year ago, at first it was that they weren’t doing parking permits anymore. Two months later we were told they were and we sent in the necessary documents. In November of last year, D&L towed our car even though we’ve been living here for 9 months already and never got a parking permit, we had to pay almost $200 to get our car back. D&L just towed our car again today because we never received a parking permit even though we have sent in all the necessary documents and we’ve been living here for a year. A bunch of scam artist working together to take peoples money.

I have no idea what these other reviews are talking about, but we had a really lovely experience. They came within minutes and charged a good reasonable price. And the guy that came with the tow truck was SO nice. If we need a tow again, we will call this place for sure.

When they were working with my old apartment complex, Hunters Crossing (which is horrible) they would come out rarely and claim they came there 2-3 times a day on a regular basis to check that everyone was in compliance with the parking codes. That was a straight up lie because with my work schedule I was off ALOT! You needed a sticker to park there or a visitors pass, yet when someone didn’t have a sticker they would come out and not do ANYTHING, which was clearly noted that ANYONE needed a sticker or a visitors pass to park on the premises! They tow whoever and I complained ALOT and I would get the response that they were coming out indefinitely. I purposefully stayed up a number of time to see that they did their job and tow the people, and they wouldn’t even show up or check the car and then leave!! Happy I own my house so they can’t step foot near me! They are lucky I haven’t sued them because I have shown up when I was at my apartment with my car missing on a Friday! And coincidently they are always a closed! Of course no one knew anything and didn’t even have the COURTESY to call me to let me know my car was towed. No notice, no text, no email, no call!! NOTHING! A police report was going to be filed but of course they dismissed everything when those words came out!! DO NOT FOR ANY REASON DO BUSINESS WITH THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!!

Very unprofessional. The workers are literally driving around running plates so they can tow vehicles in private apartment complexes. During this trying time this is the most insensitive thing you could do...force people to pay money when people are losing their jobs left and right. The the audacity to state they're "doing you a favor" when you pay to have your vehicle released. I guess they've never heard of "bad karma".

A great guy Lee just came out to help us. He was nice, quick & helpful. We called AAA and my credit card Roadside assistance but this guy beat them both.

Will illegally tow your car, lie about laws and regulations and hang up in your face when they are in the wrong. Got my car towed back to my apartment and the paperwork was thrown out. They do not do their job, which is come regularly to move cars who do not belong to the building but accidentally remove a car that is lol what a joke!

Thieves that illegally tow your car, lie about the local laws and hold your car illegally until you pay them. They will tow your vehicle pasted the legal limit, will not accept card (as required by law) and invent reasons to tow. This company will pretend to work with you but they are really criminals that work with apartment complexes to take your money. If you see their signs or are towed by them speak to a local law enforcement officer. Be aware of their fake office.

I'm sure that anyone that gives this place more than 1 star must work there. This place is a joke. Nobody was in the office until 30-45 mins after it says it's open. Also they only take cash with no card option I hope this place goes out of business asap nothing but scam artist

We called to request our car towed. But instead when the driver arrived to our home he offer us to jump the car at a cheaper cost. It worked! We made it to the mechanic. Ty!

Bunch of scam artists i swear. Just got home from a long day of work took a quick shower once i got out my truck was gone. I really hope y’all go out of business.

Very bad experience the employees are very rude the guy through my license at me overall the service is terrible.

Make sure you don't leave anything even remotely valuable in your car before they get their hands on it.

They came at 3 am to take my keys out my car. No haste no problems and they were cheapest ($63) and here’s the thing .....they 👏🏽take 👏🏽debit👏🏽 too👏🏽 💯 thank you Jon.

If getting hung up on for asking valid questions is a crime these pieces of trash are enforcing the "law"
