What clients say about Roosevelt Tower Antiques & Salvage Warehouse in Derby (CT)

Not sure what was going on but the man behind the counter was raising his voice and yelling at a woman behind the counter. It was very startling to hear someone be so comfortable shouting in public, let alone their place of business. The thing that got me to walk out the door was the $6 bottle of drugstore shampoo ($7 brand new at CVS) covered in dust and seemingly very old.

Pretty cool. You can get 36 golf balls for 15 bucks. Brand new cat carriers. There's a real unicycle floating around.

Interesting collection of varied bric-a-brac for OK prices. Oddly, the male proprietor only seemed to acknowledge or greet Caucasian visitors.

So many interesting things here for great prices - if you work construction, plumbing, fishing, handyman - you will find something here you need for a great price. Worth a look around - books, DVDs, gloves, jeans, records. Even some furniture. Management is friendly and professional

the guy with the tattoo's is rude. they sell junk above market value and wont budge to make a deal.

I live for places like Roosevelt Tower! There's always a book or CD I find that I longed for for years. Or that elusive phone charger wire I need an extra one of. I stuck my head in the large warehouse once, during a Junkers load in. What a hoot in there! If lit properly with safety markings on the floor, you could finally allow customers to poke around in there without harm to themselves. Just station a cashier near the door to make sure nothing small leaves the building for free!

I saw some chairs online and was able to pick them up a couple days later. Everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful! I will definitely go again.

Great place to stop and look around if they don’t have what you are looking for be sure to ask

After driving by on numerous occasions while working, I finally was able to make it here on the weekend and look around a little. There is certainly a lot of trash that is dumpster worthy, but if you look around enough, you might even find items worth buying and taking home with you. In the end, we did find a couple of items. Some stuff was priced a little high, but then again, you aren’t being forced to buy anything. With this type of place, you never know what you might find here… worth looking around.

The amount of different things there means you definitely won’t leave buying everything you want. I don’t usually have a big enough car with me to take it all.

An interesting place. An old timey antique place which has some really cool stuff. Kind of a Antique Store meets an Estate Sale. Now that they are combined with Books by the Falls, it's gone from 4.5 to 5 stars to me. I think I I'm just the right age for the merchandise ... a lot of nostalgia there from my childhood ... late 60s to 70s

I am in love. Fair prices and the store has some semblance of order. Great friendly staff. So much to take in, I think I was there over an hour.

Just bought a nice old chandelier. It's pretty organized by type of stuff for such a large selection. Worth a visit.

I love this place. I go here to pick up my Wish orders. If not for Wish,. I would never know this gem existed. There are so many cool pieces in this place! Everything from old sicklles to computer monitors to sleds for the kids next winter to a 1980s muppets show 'Animal' aluminum lunchbox to clothes and boots and shoes to tools to toys and so on. Definitely give yourself time cuz there is a ton of stuff to look thru. But dont worry, they have the merchandise separated pretty damn well. Its pretty well organized. So give this place a chance. Especially right when u walk in. Its a little overwhelming. But its sooooo worth it. Trust.

I've been coming here for underpriced antiques and vintage items for over 10 years! This place is a gem! Yes, items are dusty, yes it's crowded, but if you're a real thrift shop hunter you'll love all the hidden gems. The prices are very good FOR WHAT YOUR GETTING! Authentic antique and vintage items. If you're looking for a boutique experience and need to have your hand held. Please go somewhere else. I think the staff is wonderful and very down to earth people. This shop is not for babies that will throw a tantrum that they didn't get a candy with their purchase.

Dont bother going unless you want Covid-19, both of the men working here were not wearing masks even though several customers were in the store. Will never return.

Great staff and knowledgeable about the store and its contents. Yes some items have dust, but guess what unlike people who leave nonsensical reviews. Their stuff gets sold and finds happy homes. Stop in and have a look at Roosevelt. Will be back!!!

Lots of really cool stuff. Just walking through was an adventure and trip down memory lane.

What a gem! There is something for everyone. Staff was helpful and after we broke the ice a nice conversation took place. There are many levels and rooms in what seems to be like a small shop from the road, featuring anything from statues and business sighs to golf clubs, bikes, furniture to collectibles, toys and so much more.

Rather expensive. Sort of like a Habitat for Humanity Re-Store but with everything being full price. Otherwise an interested collection of stuff.

Theese people that own this place should be ashamed of themselves. There very pety and split hairs on everything. The lady and her husband( the guy with the goatee/Texas hat) fought with me over a few bucks. Not only this but all the people who work here are worse then car salesman. They follow you around when they see you are looking for something. An try to sell you everything except for what you want. I reapeted more than once " I'm good I looked and you don't have the size i need". But what about this what about that. Ughhh hello you def or you got some screws loose? I said I'm good more than 3 times. Overall theese people give thrifters/ collectors a bad name. Cheap, very pety , and no respect for the same people who are paying their bills. Don't go here it's a waste of time overpriced and there definition of negotiable is knocking off 5 bucks off a 100. Once again to the owners/workers SHAME ON YOU !!!!

What a great place! Very interesting. Some of the people that wrote negative reviews must be smoking cheap dope. People, get over it . It is an salvage and antique shop. There doesn't need to be any organization, and it should smell musty, its old stuff, that's the fun of being there. Their prices may be high, but some people have no idea how hard it is to run a business in Connecticut. Taxes, fees, and all kinds of restrictions. Everybody has a right to make a living. Don't like it there go to Walmart!! There is too many losers and complainers out there. You people---GET A LIFE>!

Lots of interesting pieces, like furniture, cookware, clothing, books, and toys of various age/vintage. The organization of the items is a bit scattered, but it's nice to browse if you know what you're looking for.

Wonderful variety of antiques and unusual (but desired) items can be found in this great HUGE store. Great destination for a fun afternoon. Leave plenty of time to browse, as there is so much to see. I never leave empty handed. The owner is such a nice person. Always ready to make a deal, and always ready to help you find something you need. I love this place. China, Christmas, furniture, house building supplies, windows, doors, commercial equipment, household decor, jewelry, pipes, coins, lighting, outdoor furniture, patio sets, outdoor baby toys (cozy coops, etc.), bikes, I could go on and on....Not to be missed. A+++++++
