I've never had to worry about going in for a simple repair and being oversold on unnecessary repairs. Great staff and great quality work. Sometimes it takes a while to get an appointment, but my wife and I have never had a problem if it's an emergency.
First time customer at Pleasant View Garage and I could not have been more pleased. Communication was great, I was able to text the number listed on the website and I received an instant response - I was able to get my car in to the shop only 1 day after I inquired. I dropped my car off overnight and by 10:00am the next day (even though it was snowing), Matt had texted me an electronic quote for the repair. I was able to confirm the quote online and by 5:00pm that same day, my car was ready to be picked up. The repair was seamless and he even cleaned off all of the old leaked oil! I was able to pay my bill the next day through a text link that Matt had sent me. I have already told all of my family and friends how wonderful this experience was and I will definitely be brining my car back for any future problems. My dad usually fixes all his own car issues, so I knew he was giving me a good recommendation when he pointed me to Pleasant View Garage. I had previously stopped at Firestone in Hamden and gotten a laundry list of things to be fixed (and a price that exceeded the value of my vehicle!), but wasn’t convinced. I was beyond thrilled to drop my car off with Paul and the guys at Pleasant View, who told me I had a minor problem and had me back on the road for FAR less. It’s hard to find an honest mechanic around - make sure you stop here.
Needed some brake work done...got 2 estimates from other shops in the area for $900 and $400. I ended up paying $220 dollars at pleasant view and couldn't be happier!! Awesome work, keeps you in the know, and only took a day to complete the work when I didn't even have an appointment! Would recommend and go back for sure.
I've only been going to Pleasant View for a few weeks now, but I've already been there twice recently and Paul has been great! He seems like a very trustworthy guy with a lot of experience and knowledge.
Absolutely Awsome!!! I bought tires and rims at Costco and my car would start wobbling at 65mph. I brought it back there and they said to have my alignment checked. Went to Townfare and paid for an alignment. Didn’t fix the issue. When to another local mechanic who I’ve used for years and they said it was my rear drive shaft so they replaced that ($1,100). Didn’t fix the issue and said it was my alignment. Went to a reputable alignment garage and they did a balance and alignment. Paid for that and didn’t fix the issue. Brought it to Paul and he said the balance was way off in my two front tires. Just picked up my car and it’s fixed!!!!
Pleasant View is now my go to garage!!! Plus they are good people which are hard to find these days. Thank you!!!
These guys are extremely helpful and nice. They took a careful look at an issue I had with my car, re-strung a belt for me, and wouldn't take any money. I can't promise that experience for anybody else, but they certainly treated me as decently as it's possible to do. Thanks!
Couldn't be better! This is a great, trustworthy, and fair local garage. I wish all shops were as friendly and honest as this one. We need more like it.
Paul and his sons are excellent mechanics- good people who are as honest as the day is long. In a trade known for dishonesty, these three are a rare find. They have been servicing our vehicles for several years and I have never had an issue with the quality of their work or their prices. I trust them explicitly.
I have been taking all my vehicles here for years now. After having some bad experiences at other shops I asked around and found that quite a few coworkers recommended this place, and I'm glad I listened. The employees are nice and really know what they are doing. Rather then over charge me and do work that doesn't need to be done, they called me up and went over every item for my approval before they did any work. I'll recommend them to anyone!
