This place is awful, everything we looked at was overpriced! The staff is incredibly rude, they walk around and watch your every move. I understand maybe people have stolen from this place in the past but nobody wants to be literally stalked while observing their antiques. This was the most uncomfortable i’ve ever felt in an antique shop. The employees were highly rude and condescending especially an old, grey haired lady who was spying on us the entire time. We didn’t know New Hartford was a snotty, stuck up town but now we will warn others and make sure they’re aware this place and town is not worth going to
Collinsville Antiques is a wonderful place to visit in CT if you love vintage, collectible and antique treasures.
There is quite an eclectic mix of items from the various vendors. All is on one level, making navigation for wheelchair bound customers or browsers very easy.
During a personal hunt, I happened upon an exquisite, working Frank Lloyd Wright lamp nicely displayed on a tall mahogany stand with a marble top. They look gorgeous in my home!
My "personal favorite" booth is one that focuses specifically on vintage Halloween items along with Christmas. Being more of a Halloween person, I have wandered out with collectible orange and black wax figurines, postcards, glasses and meticulously packaged napkins. Sheer bliss!
Do give Collinsville Antiques a try. You won't be dissppointed!
This place is huge. We were in there over an hour. Mostly antiques but some other pieces of interest. Great for couples/people who aren’t interested in antiques so they have other things to keep their interest. The workers and sellers were great, didn’t bother you but were around to answer questions.
Been here numerous times over the years, bought a few items there. Nice place to visit, a lot of booths plan on spending a little bit of time there, other antique places in the area to visit as well. Good stop.
It's a fun place to go, because you never know what you're going to find here. And it's big enough that if the weather is not cooperating, you could spend an hour pmus here walking around looking/buying various items. We have found a couple of nice things here over the years, we go 1-2× a year. We have purchased a very nice painting for our extra family room, and picked up a few nice glass items here as well over the years.
Not necessarily a great place to bring kids though.
We did like the Shops at New Hartford, which is just up the road, a little better than this.
If you cant find it here, you won't find it anywhere! Im a huge vintage shopper and this place is amazing. Extremely fair prices compared to other antique shops. Merchandise is well presented, easy to walk around, and a joy of a shop to spend a few hours poking around. Furniture, antiques, glassware, gifts, houseware, decorations, toys, etc. You will not be dissapointed!!
Really cool shop. So much to see i was getting lost and had to make multiple rounds to see everything (which was impossible) i thouroughly enjoyed the hunt though. There is something for everyone. It was solidified that i have expensive taste and most of what i loved what out of my budget but thats okay. The items were great quality.
Great staff, great variety of stuff to look at, mostly fair prices depending on the vendor, some a bit higher than others. Very clean and well organized.
My wife and I had a day off and decided to take a road trip. We stopped here and found a couple of items to take home and add to our decor. They have a large roomy facility with plenty of items to choose from, whether you are looking for farmhouse to mid century items, they have a wide array. Prices vary, but are reasonable also. We'll be going back again.
My first visit here, store just opened so kinda had the whole place to myself. Got busy quick. Staff very helpful and very friendly.

Really big place and all of it is clean and neatly organized. Friendly service inside. Prices are here and there, high, average, I guess depends on what you are looking for. Definitely worth a visit to see what they have.
Oh this place is huge! So many finds and prices are reasonable. The owner was so helpful and an expert packer! She sent me home with my treasures very secure for our journey home and I will continue to go there periodically to do some more treasure hunting.
Update 7/2023: Did a day trip to Collinsville Antiques during my husband’s week off. He’d never been here before, and the drive is lovely. Well, of course he loved the place, too! We spent a couple hours here & looked at every single booth. I love seeing what people are selling and at what price (as compared to Poshmark, Etsy, EBay, etc). I dabble in selling, so it’s fun fieldwork. I do look for unique things for myself as well (and did find some this trip, too). It was a great way to spend a late morning/early afternoon.

My family and I love looking for vintage treasures at everywhere from estate sales to thrift shops to flea markets and antique malls, so I was very excited to accompany one of my adult children to Collinsville Antiques. He’d been there before and loved it, but this was my first time.
The drive was lovely as we passed through the hills of western Hartford County into Litchfield County (the market is in New Hartford, according to Google).
Pulling into the large parking area for Collinsville Antiques, i saw that there is some handicapped parking and a long, gradual slope of a ramp as an alternative to the handful of steps at the entry—a plus!
While the building does look big from the outside, it somehow manages to seem even bigger indoors. The booths are placed in such a way as to make the most of the available space, and what a vast assortment of treasures lay before me! I was so relieved I wore my good walking shoes (a must).
While it was easy to traverse the main walkways, I can’t say the same for many booths. If one has a cane or walker or wheelchair, you’re better sticking with the main aisle. Still, some booths did have more space than others.
I followed the flow path marked on the floor, which kept the aisles mostly orderly. We visited on a weekday early afternoon, so it wasn’t at all crowded. The attendants, lovely ladies who might be booth renters, were attentive and helpful, offering to bring items in hand up to the front for safekeeping. I was very impressed and took their offer.
I have a method for antique mall style shopping, so I used that focus to get me through all the aisles. I wasn’t in a rush, but I have a limited amount of time my legs can take standing and walking. I think I will bring my wheelchair next time and use it as needed.
The items offered for sale in the building ran the gamut from vintage to antique (with some new mixed in) and the prices had a wide range as well. I would say the shopping is geared a little more to the end user than reseller. I did find a handful of pieces I wanted for myself, and I felt they were priced appropriately.
Collinsville Antiques is a place I’d like to come back to again and again. The people are so polite, friendly, and helpful, and the goods are so varied and likely change out often.
Other details worth mentioning:
1. There are bathrooms marked for men and women. I didn’t check to see if they’re accessible to all mobilities. Next time.
2. There is a spot by the front office/register where the do sell prepackaged snacks and drinks.
At this time (July 2022), I was one of the few people wearing a mask, as they seem to leave that up to the individuals. But there are no mask mandates currently for the state anyway.
Another great indoor antique mall on US-44. Tons of rooms/dealer booths to explore, some of which are themed. Some of the booths can be considered muesum displays.
Collinsville Antiques of New Hartford is the best all around place for antiques, vintage and collectibles. Hands down, more than any other shop in the state. Staff are helpful and ready to accommodate. It’s a super place to spend an afternoon or a whole day as it is a huge place filled with thousands of treasures. Great for the collector and decorator as well as the theater! Beautiful items for movie sets! Fun for everyone. Kids get their own shopping cart to help mom and dad shop ( or for themselves)! Looking for a unique gift? Yep, they will have it. 5 stars!
I’ve been going to antique stores with my wife for years and I wouldn’t return here. The staff were pleasant, it had clean bathrooms, and there were some interesting items in the main room.
I felt that there was far too much cheap low quality modern items being sold in the booths alongside the antiques. Prices were not geared towards the bargain hunter. There was also a pungent odor which smelled like a broken cologne bottle and it finally drove us out after a short time.
Preferred the antique store in downtown Collinsville for deals.
Beautiful antique shop inside a large building. The set up is multiple booths, I'm guessing they're rented out, and people sell their own stuff. So much to see here, you could spend a whole day looking at all the nick nacks. Some very cool things. Stuff for everyone. Was not very busy when I arrived around 2pm. Plenty of space to social distance. I would recommend as an outting for something to do to get out of the house. I'll definitely be back.
