I've recently moved to the state and needed help replacing my very stuck license plates off of my car. The other reviews lead me to A&S Auto Repair and I am so glad that they did! The owner was very kind, helpful, and successfully managed to get my old plates off (a feat which several people before have failed at). I really appreciate the time that he took from his other work to help me out, and would absolutely recommend this shop for any repairs or maintenance no matter how big or small. Thank you so much!

Santos is a rare find! After getting scammed at Pep Boys on New Britain Ave, I was lucky to discover his shop. He's an honest mechanic and owner who does quality work at fair prices.

I can’t say enough about the owner. Finding a trustworthy mechanic is rare, but this guy is the real deal. They’re honest, knowledgeable, and never try to upsell unnecessary repairs. If you’re looking for a mechanic who truly cares about their customers and their vehicles, I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future repairs or maintenance! Shops like this just don’t exist anymore, truly a rare find.
On my way from NY to Hartford my car suddenly overheated. Based on positive reviews, I headed straight to A&S -- it was the best move I could have made. As I was out of town (and basically stranded) I didn't know what I was in for.
It turns out I found an honest, knowledgeable mechanic who was eager to help (and educate!). These days it's not easy to find someone who is highly competent, professional and courteous.

Came here because of the good reviews, and it’s all true. My dashboard lights all came on, and they were able to replace my belt within the hour for an extremely reasonable price. Definitely will be back
I came in here because my car was overheating. I know it had something to do with the radiator. After he looked at just a quick glance. He suspected it was the water pump and told me to come back on Monday. I did come back on Monday and he just wanted to confirm it was the water pump before actually charging me. It was actually the lower radiator hose. He was honest, he always trying to save you money. My quote was originally $360 but it was a lot cheaper because it was the radiator hose. I did get an oil change and replace the radiator hose well as radiator fluid. It came up to $220. I’m going to refer everyone to him that has car trouble. I highly recommend him.
Second time i came here! I noticed my car was making a really bad squeaky noise whenever i drive. I took it down to get it looked at the second time . I didn’t know what that noise was. Sam told me it was the brakes. I came in expecting to pay for brakes but Sam said it’s massive rust that was making that noise. he didn’t charge me for anything at all which made me extremely happy. Most places would’ve charge me for brakes but i left without paying for anything. Thank you Sam for fixing the noise in my car. I truly appreciate it
Mechanic was very knowledgeable. I called for him to check on a gas leak and the car was at the shop and fixed in 2 days. The price was fair and the service was professional.
I was having an issue with my tire. A friend referred to to this garage. I called and was to come right in and they would check it out for me. Anibal stopped what he was doing to look at my tire. He EXTREMELY friendly and helpful! Will definitely go here again next time my car needs servicing

Literally the nicest guys. My check engine light came on and they let me bring it in to check without an appointment the same day. Turns out it was due to improperly securing the cap on my gas tank. Typical of a Jersey girl who just moved here and never pumped her own gas lol. Thank you for saving me both money and time! As a mon of two, both are extremely valuable.

Honest mechanic. Does his best to save customers money, rather than other auto shops which charge ridiculous prices. Me and my family always go to him, and recommend him to friends as well. Great mechanic and friendly guy.
I just left A and S and I couldn't be happier. Anebel( hope I spelled it correctly} is honest, very knowledgeable, efficient and my older car drives like a dream. He goes over every charge and his prices are fair.

I was in and out in no time (literally took them five minutes) and they fixed a simple problem at no charge. Excellent mechanic. He did a front wheel bearing on my 2015 Hyundai Elantra. Very reasonable price too. Actually came in $10 less than his estimate. Will definitely use his services again.
