During spring 2024, I brought my vehicle here for an oil change + to troubleshoot a metal-to-metal grinding noise. The garage completed the oil change without problems.
However, they failed to find the source of the noise even though the vehicle was there for an entire half day. I was notified that the car was ready for pickup in the late morning/middle of the day. (My fault for agreeing to pickup the car shortly after and not telling them to try again). This bothers me a lot because not only am I out $200 or so for the diagnosis, they had more than sufficient time to identify the problem.
The repair that corrected the noise in the end was a DIY brake job on or around 12/30/2024. No further noise since. All pads and rotors were replaced. This simple at-home service further reinforces why I am hesitant to give this garage business again.
Total failure and incompetent of this shop to not follow-through with a proper inspection or diagnostic procedure. Laughable.
This shop has been amazing for both my car and my boyfriend's. Super trustworthy, professional, and always thorough. It's such a relief to have FINALLY found a place we can rely on. Highly recommend.
Was an excellent experience in getting my car serviced at M&M Auto. Recently moved to Simsbury and was on the look out for a new mechanic. Used to use Gengras Ford in Plainville but they were expensive and had some poor customer service experiences. Here, there is no issues whatsoever. I had put off some car repairs until the heating system died due to the blend door actuator failing. They quickly scheduled me in, diagnosed the issue, and by the next day they had replaced it, along with an oil change, brake job, tune up etc. These folks will be the go to garage for myself while I live in Simsbury. Kudos to the team.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience at M & M. These guys are brilliant diagnosticians, excellent mechanics, and great communicators. The repair was complicated and difficult - my truck is 22 years old, and finding parts was close to impossible. But they didn't give up! Their customer relations deserve huge praise. I am so lucky to have had my repair work done there. I will enthusiastically recommend them to anyone who owns a car. Thanks again for your fabulous work!
Brought my car here and EXPLICITY indicated the issue and how to recreate it (after bringing elsewhere I found it to be a loose front brake caliper which made noise when driving over bumpy roads). They fixed, and charged me for, something different which never resolved the issue. Based on the mileage (they did not put on any on the car at all), they never attempted to recreate the issue or test the work they had done in their lame attempt to fix. When I followed up with them on what they did, they poo-poo'd me, although they were happy to take my money for work I did not ask to have done. NOT RECOMMENDED
FOLLOW UP: Contrary to the business owner's response, the work I've mentioned in my review was at M&M on Hopmeadow St in Weatogue. I'm not sure how the owner can say my vehicle was never at this location when having no idea of what vehicle I have. I do not leave poor reviews without merit, however I will call out an issue when there is one. No attempt was made by the business to resolve my issue. I do not consider doing work that was not necessary, nor to not address a specific issue as a way to do business. I've moved on, but this review correctly reflects my experience for this business at this location, and I still do not recommend it.
Amazing service! They greeted me once I came in the door and briefly went over my issue with my wife's van. One of the young gentlemen drove me back to my apartment while they were looking over the vehicle. Within the hour, they text me about the issue they found and how to properly fix it. I was VERY impressed at how technical yet detailed these guys were throughout the whole process. I can't say nothing but good things about this company! I definitely will be using them again!!
I cannot recommend M&M enough! Great customer service - responsive, professional, efficient! And they take such good care of my car. We will not take our cars anywhere else!
They quickly examined my car and realized it was an issue they were not equipped to handle because the issue was related to the security module. They then recommended me to take the vehicle to a dealer to have it properly diagnosed. They were honest throughout the process.
The men at M&M made the process of changing my brake pads as well as roaters extremely simple! They were reasonably priced too.
They are very personable and helpful. I would highly recommend using them.
I am usually not one to leave reviews but I can’t say enough good things about this company! I am from out of town and was visiting my brother when my car died in the middle of an intersection. They came and found me extremely quickly with their tow truck (even though I had been pushed far from my original location by the police) and got my car, made quick and fairly priced repairs, and got my car back to me, communicating every step of the way. I would drive to see them from out of state if I needed more work done!
My family has been going to M & M Tire & Auto for 15 years! Jason has always been very professional and courteous. Bill the owner is a good judge of character and it shows in his employees. I’d highly recommend this shop for any service needs. They’ve done it all for me. Lift kit on my Jeep, transmission in my Jetta! They fix everything!
They have a friendly staff and I feel like they are very honest and transparent with the work/repairs they propose for my vehicle. Sometimes they will attempt lower cost solutions for an issue first before determining that a more expensive repair is necessary. I appreciate that. I also like their detailed quotes that they text to my phone and I can approve and pay for thru their app. I highly recommend M&M Tire and Auto for vehicle service.
I have taken my car to M&M two or three times now. Jason and his team are the best. They are honest and charge a fair price. They saved me hundreds of dollars for work that a dealership recently said I needed. One of the 'repairs' wasn't even necessary. In this day and age, I truly appreciate an auto repair shop that has expertise AND integrity.
Love these guys! They're professional, hard-working and kind. Did a great job mounting and balancing new tires on my wife's car, and we've used them multiple times for oil changes as well. Mechanics we trust.

We had just pulled into Simsbury for a family reunion when our rear brakes failed. The guys at M & M Tire diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired our car in a couple of hours. These guys are great!
Jason called me right away. I towed my car down and it got fixed in a reasonable timeframe for a very fair price. The process was extremely smooth and I really like the text updates you receive through the process.
Called for an oil change. Had an appointment 2 days later. They work fast and efficiently. Friendly staff. Observed them accommodating other customers as well. Nice work!
These guys are great. They gave me the cheapest quote and are pretty close to home so I gave them a shot. They performed everything I needed in a timely manner, test drove the car, explained everything to me, and were easy to deal with the whole time. I will go back.
Called last minute for oil change service on Friday afternoon, as was planning on traveling next week; they accommodated this impromptu appointment and called me back within 10 min to confirm. Friendly staff, good service, even did quick check of the car. I am a returning customer from few years back, completely satisfied with this visit.
Fair, quick, friendly service. They will be honest with you and treat you with respect. The even provided a loaner while my car was in the shop. They will get all of my business going forward.
I’ve had various car services performed here and they always do what they say and at a fair price. I’ve recommended them to several friends who’ve had the same experience. The loaner car was very helpful this time.
Jason answered my questions thoroughly. He was very pleasant and took the time to talk with me. The shuttle to and from home was a big help for me. Both Jason and the young man who drove me were very friendly. And best of all my car was well taken care of.
Jason and all of his employees were very kind and really good on time efficiency since I popped my tire minutes before I had to go to work. They helped me, even dropped me off and got tires that I needed replaced same day. Great service! Highly recommended
Quick service with a really cool link they send you to update you on their findings where explanations are complete with photo attachments. They also let me use their courtesy car to get to work while they worked on my car and their pricing seemed reasonable and honest. They have made me a customer for life—very satisfied with this shop!
I've had a bit if a history with these guys and not much of it is good. I first brought my car to them for a clutch replacement. The car made noises afterward which turned out to be an untightened motor mount bolt which is quite an oversight. Next, I brought my car to them to diagnose a noise from the driver side which they could not find after several visits. Finally, I brought my car to them after I made a mistake while replacing my brakes and needed my parking brake repaired. They had the car for four days and did not finish the job. When I got the car back, something was scraping against the brake rotor - an issue surely to be discovered if they bothered to test drive the car. The only reason I am not giving them a 1 star review is because they have been willing to fix their mistakes free of charge. However, I absolutely so not recommended bringing your car to these guys.
I wouldn’t take my car any where but M &M, the price is always fair, they never do work that doesn’t need to be done, you can trust them.
Hard to find in this area. I started taking my car here because the Toyota dealer said I needed a major repair. I took it to Bill and it was something minor. Again, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Very impressed with my whole experience @ M&M.
Car wouldn't start one morning and had to get towed somewhere local to get fixed. Called up Chris @ M&M and they were able to fit me in first thing which really helped me out. They were able to shuttle me to work and back and kept me informed as to what they found. I even gave them the go ahead to replace the PCV valve for $50 - they found it didn't need to be replaced and were honest enough to tell me so and not charge me.
Finding a good mechanic that you can trust is really tough - Im glad I found M&M and that its 2 minutes away from me. Very happy customer.
