There is no way to contact star towing to retrieve my vehicle. I don’t understand how a tow company can tow my vehicle and not allow me to contact them in order to retrieve my property. It feels like my car has been stolen. I have been trying to call for days, and, I cannot even leave a voicemail. I don’t understand how a tow company is allowed to do this. Zero stars for Star Towing. Please contact me or let me know how to contact you. I need my car so that I can work and conduct my life.

Recently I had a bad accident on 15S and Star Towing was called. I don't live anywhere near CT. I had TONS of stuff in the car, including my most important papers and those of my elderly mother, along with ski equipment and lots of expensive items. My car was totaled, so I had to get a rental and move all my possessions within one hour of the accident (before the tow yard closed) and keep driving home. I was in great distress and full of anxiety, and also felt all alone with no one to help me. The tow truck driver was as nice as he could be to me and gave me a lot of good information. My insurance arranged a rental from a company close to the tow yard. The driver volunteered to help me move my possessions into his pickup bed and drive me down to the rental place, out of the goodness of his heart. I can't even express how much this meant to me when I was so shaken up. As it turned out, the rental company sent someone to pick me up, but I will always remember his kindness. He stayed late just to help me out, even though I'm sure he wanted to get home. I have read some of the negative reviews here and it seems like they are talking about someone different, or perhaps they treated him differently. At the accident site, when my car was up on the flatbed and I was told I couldn't get up there to get anything out, including my laptop or phone, I was upset, but one of the guys looked for my phone and got it for me. I understand the liability problems and didn't blame them. Thank you, Star Towing.

This dude - as most have said is just terrible. Pretty bad when you even call the officer who called the tow and he says “yeah lotta complaints for this guy. He doesn’t work with anyone”. Keep up the great work “Star”. If you ever need a tow in Fairfield make sure it’s not this clownshow who manipulates his hours for storage fees.

Horrible experience, both in person and on the phone. No professionalism in answering questions that customers may have.

Recently had a 1st car accident experience, cop told me to leave belongings in my vehicle so I can retrieve them when tow guy drops me off at the parking lot, guy hates dogs but had to compromise by having me shove dog in corner of door under my feet as cop yelled at him. Ask tow guy if I can still get my belongings, he said no, asked if he could, he said he isn’t gonna say a third time that I cannot get my belongings which I was later told by a former NY enforcement employee that what he did was illegal and that he wanted to keep my personal items to either steal or charge me a storage fee for over the weekend as I am a foreign NY which does seem like an easy cash grab for him. Got to parking lot and asked if there was anything I could do for my stuff, gave me his card and said get out and come Monday. Guy was not nice, empathetic, sympathize or respectful for anyone. Be careful with whoever the police call for a tow cause you might receive this company. He may respond to this to counter with excuses, so I hope working at 4am for a car crash is not an excuse for your behavior as it is advertised on your little card “Reach for the star 24 hours”. I will update you guys on what he charges for storage fee for my personal belongings he practically stole on Monday To answer the response, it was not explained, I was in a state of shock and fear. The assumption of a NY to know CT tows employee policies to me is a joke. There was no visible fluids leaking except the wash fluid being completely torn off so the whole idea of fear of fluids is voided in this case and it was a matter of inconvenience and disregard for my personal belongings. This was not whatsoever professional as the trooper expressed concern for the dog and couldn’t transport me and dog as he was going in another call. The fact that the trooper had to convince the tow to even move someone and their pet off a busy highway is laughable. The life of a dog and person is a joke to you if you really fear a simple mess and I understood the fear for disease or attacks which I did reassure by holding her down complete secured. As a tow company that prioritizes safety so highly, I cannot comprehend how you need a trooper to convince your worker to transport the owner and dog 1.5 miles to the exit is laughable. You are more worried about who and what cost is for a mess in a car rather than a dog/human life in the middle of a highway. My review was not final as it was in progress yet you feel the need to respond with passive aggressive tone as if I knew all the CT laws as a visitor is a sad show for your company. Your “worker” came in setup, argue with trooper, compromised, yelled at me and didn’t give me any details except a stupid card that advertises 24/7 tow but hates to do 24/7 tow, yes I did not get what I wanted which was clarification and professionalism but I guess I can’t expect that out of a business that needs customers to operate? Guess anyone who has an issue with you stealing, being unprofessional, unethical, not empathic is shown as being immature

If you ever have the misfortune of having your car towed here, be ready for the most prejudiced & unhelpful treatment from the hunchback scaly Caucasian man who seemingly runs the yard, & sits by the lotto tickets miserablely shuffling papers. If getting access to your car was like an Indiana Jones movie, this man is your nemesis. Along with barking incoherent misleading facts about their hours while I was bedridden in the hospital post car accident, he raised his voice after I asked if accessing my trunk is an option: & when i arrived, limping & bringing my big strong male friend: not only did he shy away, hiding his face & mumbling: i found my personal belongings were stolen out of the car!!! Completely the epitome of a business run by a miserable fairfield troll of a human, probably going home to a TV dinner & an aging inherited moldy apartment. So get all your belongings out of your car before it's towed here, & if you're a female: bring a big strong man with you upon arrival of retrieving your car.

Trash told me they’ll close at 4:30 right before 430 and they were not here now they’re going to charge me additional storage

Horrible experience on the phone. The person sounded miserable & was disrespectful. I asked a simple question & the guy was very rude, even hanging up on me. Don't get serviced by this company.

Worst experience ever, owner solely interested in making a dollar versus doing what's right. Dollars ahead of customers, and customer service. It's a shame that the Fairfield Police Department uses Star towing as a wrecking company. Very bad image for Fairfield as a town and a very poor representation of the community.
