How they always have exactly what I need, is Beyond Me. I was told by another UPull It Yard that my part wasn't anywhere in the State! But, Don's had it!! Yay!
extremely poor service for a junk yardowner? is driving around in this big tractor to police his unorganized items. it’s a mess trying to find what you are able to buy and what’s still being processed. don’t bother, service is terrible and actual good items are hard to find
No clue how this place has 4.4 stars. They must be paying people off. Save your time and go down the street to C & E Affordable Used Parts.
Most of the staff seemed nice, but the owner has a huge ego and his heart will probably pop from high blood pressure before he can get you a good deal on some parts.
The lot is extremely unorganized and the owner will do nothing short of spitting in your face if you take a step in the wrong direction.
No signs, no fences, no way to tell what's off limits and what's accessible.
If you make the mistake of touching one of the owner's vehicles (that's out in the open and easily accessible) he will verbally assault you, threaten you, and eventually have his employees kick you out because he's too scared to come down off his machinery that he drives like a pissed off 8 year old.
Long story short, save your time. Don't come here. Train wreck of a business that doesn't want to conduct any actual business.
I bought a item almost 2 years ago ..sales associate helped find my receipt and helped me get the extra parts I need..was a great help...great prices..even the guys in loading were super helpful and pleasant...
The business owner was very hostile and said things that were so rude I was shocked. The younger workers were more friendly but unfortunately the old man made it to where I will never go back. Shame on you sir...
These guys always answer the phone. And are very helpful. If they don't have it, they will tell you who does. So me they have confidence in their business.
I apologize. Another family member called after I tried and was able to speak to an employee and find the part I needed. Thank you and again I apologize stressful situations on top of speaking an relieving a click and dial tone was frustrating. Would've understood more if "no caller" was said.
Placed a call looking for mini cooper parts and was met with hostility within a flash either from a grumpy old individual or a not so polite business worker/owner. Very disappointing to have a business rated this high and to be faced with rude attitudes before even given a chance to do business
The point of a pre pull salvage yard is to save time, but this place is lazy. Valve cover has not only been stored improperly (excessive dirt and debris that was not from use) but gaskets were left in (lazy) steel ring spark plug gaskets are completely rotted and seized into the cover, ill be amazed if i can remove them without destroying the aluminum cover. Its taken about $15-20 worth of solvents just to remove the contaminants from improper storage. On top of that, it was $10 more than the specialty yard. Definitely would have been worth the drive to go elsewhere.
Joseph found an obscure part for me, a back hatch rubber seal, in their yard saving me oodles of money and from having to buy and pay shipping on an OEM part from Toyota. Extreme Auto Body put it on for me (they were going to do it for free but I gave them a tip, they are so sweet there). Highly recommend both these businesses and also Tom's salvage which told me to go to Don's when they didn't have the part. Thank you Don's.
I called them and asked if they had a hood for my car. They said “yes, we have 2 for you to look at”. I drove 45 minutes to get there and the counter guy says “no, we haven’t had any of those for a while now.”
We continue to have excellent experiences with Don’s. They have assisted us with three different vehicles and are always prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. It’s comforting to have such an honest and reliable resource available in the community.
Great price I needed a tail light wire harness. Cost $10 it had all the light bulbs with it and they all worked. Plus I forgot to bring screwdriver . They loaned me one . I put in this afternoon. Everything works. I am so happy with this service and purchase. Thank you .
Extremely rude! I called and asked if they had a step bar for a specific truck model and their response was “you can come and look”. Instead of saying we do not have an inventory or etc. That was extremely rude in my opinion as I cannot afford to leave work and drive there. This totally discouraged me from even wanting to go and take a look.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Whoever answered the phone this afternoon, seriously needs to work on customer service. EXTREMELY RUDE!!! I'm so glad they didn't get my business. This person didn't have any clue about the part that was needed. "Well you're just waisting my time now." Was not at all an appropriate response. I wouldn't ever recommend this business after today.
I buy parts from Dons often. Most of the time we go once a week or more. There is no pressure. Staff is super friendly. They treat us like family. If i just need a ciuple of small items they usually wont even charge me. Their selection and vehicle inventory is huge. Always have what i need.
At first the experience wasn't bad. I had called about the part the day before, because I live an hour away They were busy, so waiting is understandable. But one old balding individual, was very rude. One gentleman was working behind the counter, a much younger guy just sitting on his can. When the helpful gentleman was reassuring customers that he was sending out a search party for our parts. He loudly announced, ' we have been open all day!' I arrived at 3 to the establishment, he announced this at 4PM with an hour to close. He never offered to help just sat there being a douch bag. Turns out didn't have the part anyway.
I called to see if they had the part I needed for a ford escape. They did. When I got there they had the part pulled and ready for me. Good price, way cheaper than buying new and waiting for it to come in. I always check here before I order something
Was looking for some harder to find classic Subaru parts for a restoration customer in the United Kingdom and called SEVERAL other recycle/salvage yards who either didn't have what I was looking for, or was not willing to go the extra mile to pull the part from stock and explain to me the condition of the part or send photos of imperfections.
Finally I called here and spoke with Rick, who was extremely friendly and helpful through the entire process. He took extra time and care to pull the part from their stock and take pictures of it and any blemishes, and send them to me before I purchased. The part was in great condition for how delicate and old it was, so these guys must take pretty good care of their stock it seems like, or have some good cars to pull from (perhaps just both).
Unfortunately, I was not able to stop by in person and say thank you face to face, but this review can help express my gratitude for the amazing service I received. Seriously, top notch business! And, by far, the most pleasant auto recycle company I have dealt with to date. I highly recommend you stop by or give them a call if you'e looking for something!
