This is one of my favorite places in Colorado. Incredibly unique setting and the wonderful owners could not be more accommodating or welcoming. I have stayed in both the cabins and camped at one of the sites on the expansive property. Highly recommend making a point to stay here if you are interested in a beautiful setting with an intriguing history!

Glen Isle Resort is one of my favorite places to stay in Bailey. The rooms are comfortable, and the cabins are warm, spacious, and perfect for a mountain getaway. The beds are incredibly comfortable too. It’s a true local gem and they’ve done an amazing job preserving its history and story. Always a wonderful stay.

Glen Isle Resort is an absolute dream! I actually won my stay here on The Price Is Right — and as a Colorado native, it turned out to be the most amazing staycation I could’ve ever imagined. Everything about this place is incredible — from the beautiful riverside setting to the historic charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a peaceful 1900s mountain escape. We stayed in the Evergreen Cabin by the stables, and it was pure perfection — cozy, clean, and full of rustic character. The fact that we could bring our dog made it even more special! The property itself is stunning, surrounded by nature and full of little touches that show how much care goes into maintaining it. The owners and staff were so kind and welcoming — you can tell they genuinely love what they do and want every guest to have a memorable experience. From start to finish, our time here was magical. A huge thank you to Mary Ruth!! If you’re looking for a true Colorado mountain getaway — peaceful, scenic, and full of heart — Glen Isle Resort is it. I can’t recommend it enough. I’ll never forget this trip! We hope to be back soon!

This was our second time staying at Glen-Isle in one of the cabins. We grew up in the Bailey area and were familiar with the resort when it was owned by the Tripp family. The new owners have done a fantastic job of lovingly restoring the historic lodge and cabins to their former glory. It's like stepping back in time to the early 1900s. The cabins remain rustic, yet with all the modern conveniences. They are tastefully furnished, cozy, and comfortable. Linens, dishes, cookware, and small appliances offer guests a home-away-from- home experience. Many opportunities for fun things to do in the area. |Owners are on site and very responsive to guests. We hope to make this a yearly trip to Glen-Isle!

We were at Glen Isle resort for a family wedding. We took over the resort! Everything was wonderful. We had a slight issue in our cabin, and the owner was extremely responsive and took care of it immediately.

We just stayed at this quaint resort for a family wedding. Everything about it was wonderful! Our cabin was great and had everything we needed. He did have a slight issue with the heat and then an issue With something of our own doing… Mary Ruth responded immediately when I reached out. It is evident there’s a lot of care put into taking care of this resort. Highly recommend for a family vacation!

We loved our stay at the Glenview cabin! It was super cozy, spacious, and had everything our family needed. The location was peaceful but still close to hiking and little spots to eat. The kids enjoyed the donkeys and horses on the property. Mary Ruth was the most gracious host. She was accommodating, friendly and quick to respond, which made our weekend getaway extra special! We recommend this historic resort for your family, as well.

I didn't stay here as a guest, I attended a beautiful wedding at the Glen Isle Resort. It was so well suited for the adventurous, outdoors loving couple! There are so many picturesque little spots and made for a truly magical wedding venue.

We hosted our wedding weekend at Glen Isle Resort and had the absolute best time! Our guests, both locals and from out of town, all loved staying at Glen Isle and said how it felt like such a special place. Everyone felt connected and comfortable and we loved that it was easy to walk from place to place. The cabins, coffee shop, and activity spaces all got tons of compliments, and the mountains were truly the most perfect backdrop for our wedding ceremony. The owners and staff were so flexible and helpful with making our event a success. They accommodated us for last-minute changes due to rain and brought umbrellas to our reception. They really saved the day! I could go on and on about how perfect everything was. Thank you Glen Isle for being amazing hosts and sharing this special place with us!

GLEN ISLE IS THE MOST AMAZING PLACE! I just got married there and had a DIY wedding. Mary Ruth and Greg are the most hospitable, accommodating, and wonderful hosts we could imagine. For a wedding of 40 people, they include tables, chairs, portapotties, weather options, table cloths, set up, garbage cans, bags, string lights, set up a stage, and all for the most reasonable price! we had the ceremony up at the point and it was absolutely breathtaking. All of my family and friends could stay there for very reasonable price. I have been planning with Mary Ruth for well over a year, and she was so consistent with working with us every step of the way. If you want to get married and are on a budget with a small wedding, GO HERE! She even let us smoke a pig by the river! brought down propane stoves so we could have smores where we chose! You can feel the magic of this place, and we will be returning (all 35 of us) every year for game competitions and some glen isle relaxation. Many people told me it was the best wedding they have ever been to! We had trivia in the Kiva(indoor rec room) and if it had rained, they would have moved our entire wedding inside. Mary Ruth and Greg seriously have a heart of gold, and they made this all possible. Perfect weather, perfect place, perfect weekend. Love ya'll, we wont stop coming back every year forever.

BEAUTIFUL little cabin/resort getaway. We were there for my BIL/SIL's wedding and it was nothing short of amazing. Mary Ruth, her husband, and her crew are so generous, sweet, and accomodating. And the cabins are beautiful and so cozy as well! With the area down by the campgrounds being next to the river, and the scenery around the property, it was absolutely a gorgeous destination! And being right off of 285, it was so easy to get to. With the natural barrier of trees and the river, you dont get much, if any road noise from 285 either! If you're looking to host a wedding at a beautiful venue, or you just need a close getaway for a couple(or entire family), Glen Isle Resort is the spot! (I also heard they now have a cinderblock smoker for guests use)

Absolutely beautiful cabin retreat nestled right in the mountains. The rooms were cozy but with modern amenities and good wifi. The service was outstanding, the owners really go above and beyond to accommodate you. Was so sad when I left, will definitely be returning in the future.

Wow, what a gem. Just went for our first time and we loved it. The grounds are beautiful and right on a trout river. The owner was superb with communication and more than accommodating. The cabin was immaculate and I can tell either new or completely redone. The main lodge is like a trip to the past. I would highly recommend and plan on staying here again.

We were warmly welcomed when we checked in before heading to a nearby wedding. Though our rooms weren't ready (too early), they showed us where they were and how to access them. The rooms are rustic but clean and have what you need for a short stay. The property is beautiful and peaceful, even with 285 right there. Good experience from booking to our stay there.

What a great resort!! Its rustic but comfortable, with a LOT of history. Mary Ruth and crew does a great job at making everyone feel comfortable and at home. I appreciate their friendliness and hard work! Being in the hospitality industry is very difficult, but they make it look easy! Thank you so much for being so welcoming to us and our pups. You made it easy for us to enjoy a week of Colorado flyfishing and beauty!

5 stars is not enough! First I want to talk about the camp owner and host Mary Ruth. She is such a beautiful soul (inside & out)! She goes above and beyond for her guests to make you feel welcome, like you’re at home, and that you’re part of the Glen Isle family. Second words can’t describe how incredibly beautiful this place is. Whether you are tent camping or staying in one of their cosy lodges you can’t go wrong. Take an easy hike up to the top of one of the look outs to see one of the best views in Colorado! (Mountains, campsites, and river below). You can also enjoy the amazing disc golf course, check out the horse stable (which is right on location by the camp sites / lodges) , explore the rich history inside the lodge that displays century old Indian artifacts and relics, to exploring the original lodge rooms from the late 1800’s just as they were back then! Being out in the heart of the mountains you can expect to see an Aw inspiring view of the night stars (even can see the Milky Way!) If you’re looking for a relaxing get away - away from the city, away from the bustle of life, and reconnect with nature this is your place! If you get a chance I would highly recommend Glen Isle. 2025 was my 4th visit and our first stop to say hi to Mary Ruth every time we come to Colorado.

Glen Isle hosted my wedding and family reunion this past weekend! This was a perfect blend of Rustic meets modern!!! The cabins have been updated just enough....great bathrooms and kitchens while keeping the rustic feel in decor. Mary Ruth and Greg are excellent hosts and very accommodating. The young adults staying in the lodge bedrooms....excellent beds and turn of the century decore. The bathrooms and shower are shared but super organized and available! This little piece of heaven should be a stop for your next weekend getaway or event!!

I had the pleasure of meeting the owners of this place in the winery where I used to work and since the beginning they were amazing! I was talking with them that I would have been in Colorado for a couple of days and they told me about their resort and invited me to stay there. |I kindly accepted and as soon as I arrived there I cannot believe to myself! Glen isle resort is more than just a place to stay for your vacation: just 40 minutes from Denver you will find history, nature, peace, a lot of love and dedication for what they are doing, comfort and a wonderful hospitality! I highly recommend this place and MaryRuth and Greg are very unique ❤️ I left a piece of my heart right there!

I've been visiting Glen Isle for 6 years now and have never once had a bad experience. The cabins are always clean and cozy, and the owner Mary Ruth is so welcoming and kind. I am so glad to be a part of this magical place. My friends also had such a great time there. Thank you Mary Ruth for keeping this historic place running!

My mom and I met here (we live across the country from each other). This is such a fun and relaxing place to stay. We stayed in the “59er” cabin. It had just the right amount of rustic with modern amenities. The owners (Mary Ruth and Greg) have gone above and beyond to keep the historic property as original as possible while adding modern convenience to keep guests comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and there was live music one night with campfire and a food truck which was such a blast! We did some hiking on the property and visited the gift shop in the historic lodge. The resort is only about 5 miles from Bailey if you prefer dining out also. Overall, the owners have done an amazing job bringing this place back to life and it’s is awesome that it has been around for 125 years!!

Beautiful area with river and antiques galore…very comfortable beds… Owners, Mary Ruth and Greg Vincent, have gone above and beyond on updates to stay authentic to the history and majesty of this sacred place. This is the second year in a row we have visited Glen Isle. Last year my now husband proposed here and everyone we jealous of the photos. The rooms are EXTREMELY comfortable but with a vintage flair, some of the cabins dating back to the 1800’s and yet are as cozy as a five star retreat. There’s so much to do with campfire every Tuesday and Sunday and so much of the property to explore, you could get as lost as you wish. And so easy to navigate, right off the highway about 30 minutes outside of Denver as well as well marked, we had no trouble at all finding or navigating here. AND a beautiful river boarders the property and the highway and acts as white noise to reduce the noise of the highway. This is the PERFECT mountain getaway and the hosts, Mary Ruth and Greg are real, kind people. They are genuinely happy we are here and make an excellent effort to make sure we are comfortable, and happy with our stay. Be sure to ask about some of the lore around the property, they are very knowledgeable and entertaining storytellers.

Our family has been staying at Glen-Isle every summer for vacations for several years now. We have camped and stayed at multiple cabins over the years. It is our happy place and spirit home. Mary Ruth and Greg are incredible hosts and have poured their love and souls into this special place. This year my wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Glen-Isle with our family and friends. We had a magical ceremony at the “wedding spot,” and a wonderful after party at the Kiva event space. Tuesday nights in the summer mean s’mores and campfire songs outside of the lodge, and are always a lot of fun. Our kids have grown up here over the years and made great friends that spend their time exploring the woods or playing pool in the recreation room. If you are looking for a family friendly place to relax and recharge, look no further.

My daughter just got married at Glen Isle and it was so beautiful!! Mary Ruth and Greg are the owners and they take such great care of all of their guests and the property. It is right on the river and there are also streams throughout the property. There are over 150 acres of natural beauty all around! It is perfect for a wedding weekend! Everyone can stay in the fabulous remodeled cabins!! We had the welcome party at the main lodge and was all outside and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the evening and many toasts We had the entire place to ourselves and so much love all around! The wedding was in a meadow with the mountains in the background- absolutely stunning!! Then the reception was in the woods by the river… yet another perfect venue. It was the perfect Colorado wedding and so much fun!! Thanks for letting us take over the entire place for the whole weekend!

Glen Isle is officially one of my favorite places in CO! They hosted my sisters wedding and everything was immaculate. They were incredibly helpful with setup. And the views!!! My golly. Truly beautiful weekend from end to end. The old Colorado charm and riverside hangs blend together to create a sense of magic I’m yet to find anywhere else during my 30 years in CO. Thank you to Glen Isle and the staff for your help throwing an amazing wedding! You all rule!!! Anyone in CO needs to come stay and take advantage Of this beautiful place in every way possible.

We came up for our Son's wedding, and Glen Isle was the perfect resting place for us! The rooms are full of character, the beds were comfy and you fall asleep to the sound of a VERY full river a few feet away! Mary is a wonderful host and they work so hard to make your stay special. We live just an hour away, but when we have more time to relax we'll be up to visit again!

This was my second time attending and staying overnight for a retreat at Glen Isle—and once again, it exceeded my expectations! Glen Isle is truly a local treasure. I've helped plan several local events and retreats here, and every experience working with the owners and staff has been outstanding. The resort is rich with history and surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The cabins are cozy and inviting, and the Kiva and Lodge provide the perfect setting for workshops, meals, and large group gatherings. The campfire area is ideal for evening fires, s’mores, and songs, and there are plenty of scenic hikes nearby to enjoy the great outdoors. Glen Isle has become my go-to spot for making memories with friends and family—year-round! Highly recommend!
