I'm so grearful for Steve and his nice clean truck. My daughter, three dogs, and I were stuck with a flat and no spare. Steve got us to a tire place and made sure we were safe and taken care of. It is rare to encounter someone who does all they can for others and we made it home safely because of Steve's dedication and thoughtfulness. Helpful and trustworthy I highly recommend this company.
Steve went above and beyond for my group when we were stranded after a crash that totaled our car just outside of Colorado. Not only did he generously take us 40 miles from the crash site to a hotel, but he also drove us four hours from Craig to Denver, and asked for little to nothing in return. It is a one in a million chance you come across someone so selfless and kind, especially to complete strangers. If you ever find yourself in need of a towing service in the area, you'd be making a mistake going anywhere else. I can not thank Steve and this company enough for their help during such a difficult time.
Holy Cow! I have never seen someone go above and beyond in a long long time like Steve did for me. I was broke down on the side of the road out in the middle of nowhere in a three-quarter ton pick up truck and a 40 foot gooseneck trailer. He drove 38 miles one way to pick up my truck and then we delivered it back in town at his dealership and then we got a different truck For a gooseneck to go back out to pick up the trailer to drag it back so it was safe because it had cargo on it. Great conversation, great attitude, great character. Made sure I got a hotel and then even picked me up from the hotel again the next day when my truck was ready at the dealership to get me back on the road. Top-notch company-clean, friendly and professional -Steve’s just a great guy Cook’s Tow Service does it right!
We've all heard the saying, "going the extra mile", well Steve went the extra 5 miles for me. I found myself off the side of a mountain late at night 5 miles up the icy road. Luckily I made 1 call & it happened to be Steve who made the decision & risked driving up the icy mountain in the middle of the night. He also contacted Search & Rescue to make sure they knew where I was. Once he arrived safely, he took his time to talk me through everything & made sure no additional damage was done while pulling me out. I'm beyond grateful, thank you Steve!
He got me out for a very reasonable price and communicated with me perfectly about everything. If you ever get stuck in the snow this guy might just be able to turn your day around ! Best towing service I have experienced in my 19 years of driving .
These guys were great. My insurance company put me in the middle of a field based on my phone's location(as opposed to on the side of the hwy as I told them). Once the driver could not find me he then called me and based on my description quickly knew where I was and made his way to me. They then went so far as to drop me off at the car rental in the area (since my insurance company also did not mention this when contacting them). They were quick, helpful, and kind throughout the whole situation.

Hit a deer in the middle of nowhere Colorado and Steve came through big time for us.
Advised us on repair shop locations and drove us and our huge rig expertly the 4 hours to the front range over mountain passes through pissing rain gusty winds and traffic jams.
All that to drop off our vehicle and then he kindly took us another 30 minutes north to where we needed to go.

10/10 would break down again if I could work with Cook’s Towing. Broke down 40 miles out of town and Steve made it to pick us up within an hour. He advised us that there is nowhere in Craig that will work on Mercedes so he took us all the way to Steamboat. He was friendly and had a great attitude! Fantastic service!
Steve with cook towing is amazing. We have had 2 separate towing needs, last minute, one of which was after Thanksgiving, and not only did he answer my first call, he was able to schedule us into his schedule. Also, extremely reasonable prices. I now have his number programmed, if I'm anywhere in the state of Colorado or eastern Utah he will always be my first call, he's honest and reliable, and he's earned my business. My husband and kids were stuck. We were following Google maps and it said that it was faster to go on a dirt road. When we started going that way, it was nothing but ruts and deep snow. We are from out of state and was headed to see family. We called all the towing companies we could find on Google and they didn't answer or they wouldn't drive out unless we paid $1500! We ended up calling dispatch and the lady we talked to was very nice and sweet and called Cook Towing for us and Steve came out and rescued us. We are so grateful for Steve and the dispatch lady. I ended up in a ditch off Hwy 40 in Hayden. Got a hold of Cook towing to come pull me out with a quick response time, not knowing that Route County contacted another towing company. When Steve showed up, Rocky Mountain towing was already hooked to my truck. Steve stayed to help them, even though he didn't have any obligation to stay. Our alternator decided to quit during our trip to the northwest corner of Moffat County, CO. It was by luck we had cell reception and were able to search for some towing companies. Steve was willing to drive 80+ miles on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and rescue our vehicle. He has lived in the area all his life and knew exactly where we were when we gave him the directions and road numbers.
With his background and experience, he did some diagnosing of possible failures before hauling us into town. Once it was narrowed down to alternator failure he loaded us up and drove the 80-90 miles into Craig.
Steve went above and beyond the call of duty. He assisted by brining us to the local parts store to buy what we needed to fix the truck and get it up and running again.
Steve was very personable, kind, and considerate to our needs. The tow truck was clean and in immaculate condition unlike some we have seen. I would highly recommend calling Steve and using Cook Towing Service.
The short of it: Steve is AWESOME and incredibly kind too! Our CRV was stranded with 2 flats, about 8 miles north of County 318 inside Sandwash basin. Steve helped us navigate the whole ordeal, managed to find us 2 road legal used spares, AND washed the car.. If that’s not top notch customer service, I don’t know what is! Thanks for saving us Steve!
We were in a pinch and 144 miles away from our destination. Once we retrieved Steve's number, he was the reassuring voice we needed to hear. He was timely in his estimated time of arrival and knowledgeable in his area of expertise. Highly recommend his company. Steve provided the reassurance we needed and got us where we needed to go. My car broke down about 50 miles from Craig and the local deputy dispatched us to Cook Towing. Steve runs one of the only tow trucks nearby and he came out around 10pm and brought us all the way to SLC for a 4am arrival. Steve was incredibly professional, an excellent communicator and a very safe driver. I cannot recommend Steve & Cook towing enough.
Broke down 30miles north of Craig, CO (middle of nowhere) on a super cold evening. Steve was very quick to get to us. Towed our car to Cook in Craig and then drove us home to Hayden. Really nice guy, and an incredibly hard worker. Highly recommend him if you're in a pinch!
Steve saved us! We were stuck on CO40 and every other towing company was estimating hours to pick us up. Cook got us in just around an hour, which was incredibly impressive since we were almost an hour away. They even gave us a courtesy ride home. Excellent, fast service, from friendly faces. Toodling along on Highway 40 late at night and introduced my vehicle to a deer. Totalled my vehicle and I was in need of a tow. Cook showed up quickly, despite being swamped with calls all night. Steve was super helpful and professional….he is very skilled at his job. He gave my car and me a ride to my town. Steve is fantastic and the tow was very reasonable.
