Had a mechanical issue, and dispatched Northstar for a tow, and Ron was there within 30 minutes of being dispatched. Very professional, courteous, great communication, and very personable. Would definitely use again and recommend.
I blew a tire on 1 70 outside of fruita. I called state farm road side assistance. Northstar came out in a timely manner. The tech put my donut spare on. I could tell there was not enough air in it. I asked him if it was ok? He got his tire gage which was broken, he had no way to air up the tire. He told me it should be OK, just air it up at the first gas station. I did not make it to a gas station before my spare was flat. I pulled into a Exxon Mobil to try to fill the spare. It wouldn't hold air as it was ruined. When I called the tech he told me I had to call state farm again as I needed a tow now. I trusted this company to not put me back on the road in an UNSAFE car on the interstate. I sat on the road and cried out of frustration. I called state farm and they had another company come tow me to a tire shop. It will cost me another $170 to fix my ruined spare, not to speak of the additional cost of losing an additional hour and a half of work. How can a tow company not have a tire gage or air or at least tell me I need a tow. No they assured me I was safe to get back on the interstate. What a joke.
Ron was amazing. We called through AAA. Ron came quickly, hooked our car up fast, and was kind to my family. I hope all the drivers that work at Northstar are as nice as Ron. He deserves a raise for going above and beyond.
Ron was amazing in getting out here as fast as possible to help me get my vehicle. Towed was extremely personable and just all around. Pleasure to work with and getting me my van back to my site
I could not have asked for a better company to deal with. They were on-site quick, knowledgeable about what they were doing and completely courteous. Not that I like calling a tow company but my their phone number is now stored by my phone in cases ever happens again. Ron, the driver was one of the best I'd ever worked with.
My vehicle stopped on the side of hwy 50..they arrived on time and with a very friendly driver. He took me and my vehicle home on a Sunday. I am 100% satisfied with my service. The next day I had my vehicle towed to the shop. That driver was also very friendly and both men were very professional. The dispatcher was helpful and professional. I can't thank them enough. 5 stars 10 of 10 would recommend!
I was overwhelmed with this happening to a car I'd only driven a few days, after working a 12 1/2 hour day. It was dark and needed a car to drive the following morning at 4:45am. The driver got me over to Budget car rental 10 minutes before they closed first to assure I was secured with a vehicle, then hooked up my car and delivered it to my mechanic so I could finally get home. I'm so grateful for this gentleman and his compassion. Unbelievable customer service!!! Thank you again.

Saturday night we pulled into our hotel in Grand Junction, Colorado, and I didn’t know that the cigarette lighter continued to provide electricity to the StarLink mini that we had just purchased. We came out Sunday morning, getting ready to go to church and our car was dead. Northstar towing absolutely took care of us! From the time we called to the time they showed up was not more than half an hour on a Sunday morning. And they texted us through the short time we were waiting. Just incredible!
They were the third place we called. The first place that tried to present themselves as being local, the dude sounded like he was from Bangladesh or something. The second place we called didn’t answer with their name and I just hung up.
But no star towing, they answered using their name, I could understand the person speaking to me, she was very personable, and of course, the young man who came out and started our vehicle, I gave him a $20 tip!
All of us who end up finding companies who do their job and do it properly and even happily, we need to reward them every way we can!

Stuck out in the desert with a flat and a jack that collapsed in shifting dirt, bending so it was impossible to use. Northstar found us in 20 minutes, just like they said they would. Back on the road in mere minutes. Thank you Northstar. Great service.
They got a call from insurance to tow me out of blm land and they call me and told me I'm not within 100ft of the road (I was 0ft on the road, with photos and a grid coordinate that verified on county road R2). Then she said her boss needed $600 to pull me out with his truck. So extortion?! No. Had to spend a night in the desert because of them. Angels towing was able to handle it and I reported them to progressive
Roadtripping to California and unfortunately my cars check engine light started to flash. Pulled over and got assistance pretty quickly! It was late (around 11pm) and I was in the middle of Utah. I felt everyone went above and beyond to help us when we really didn’t know what to do. 5 stars.
Had a flat, once North Star sent a person to change the tire, I found out I did not have a spare. They resent a tow truck AND they set up BMT Tire shop ( who elected to stay open until my car arrived) to change my tire and send me on my way. What incredible service!! All this happened at 8:00pm. I Highly recommend North Star towing!!
Northstar Towing moved my girlfriend’s car for the GJ chip and seal. When they parked her car they parked it purposely 12’ and more from the curb. Which violated the cities parking law. I went and asked my neighbor about this, he then told me they moved the car, got out and laughed about it, then just left it parked wrong. What a scummy way to get business. Would not recommend at all. 1 star is too high.
We were put in touch with NorthStar Towing after our 1 ton dually Chevy lost power on the westbound side of I-70 in the Cameo/Debeque area. This was made possible by the unexpected efforts of the great guys at Wine Valley Movers. They saw our trouble, asked us how to help, put us in touch with Jen at NorthStar, and they safely got us off the interstate and into town where we were very capably deposited at a highly recommended service location.
Jen took all my information and got us the exact assistance we needed, a huge flatbed truck, and Shawon the driver was fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, safety-minded, he made a disappointing event turn into a light-hearted exchange. He is just a super guy!
We had managed to get text messages to friends in Grand Junction, and they and Shawon converged upon us about the same time. Talk about feeling rescued! If it had to go this way, it was the best way to turn out.
We’re still waiting on news on our truck as of this writing, but we were quickly made safe by everyone!
Tow truck operators are folks who turn bad days into better ones. Lyle came to my rescue WAY out in the boonies of Calamity Mesa while I was working on a preservation project. After my "self-driving" 4Runner joy rode itself into a deep drainage ditch after I accidentally left it in DRIVE and jumped out for a few minutes to grab things from a tent. He was friendly, made a quick but careful assessment and a well-paced recovery of my nearly upside down vehicle. I was told by someone that tow truck folks will ruin your vehicles because they don't' care since it's being towed. Well, I can tell this dude (Lyle) cares and he also loves his job. So, don't believe everything you hear from others.
There was virtually no cell service out there, but I had just enough to call. This challenge, along with how Northstar dispatches calls (using Verizon talk app) created some confusion with calls and billing, as it was delayed. I, of course, was frustrated and ready to give fewer than 5 stars, but Jenni was quick to send a note back explaining everything. I'm still a little annoyed, but mostly at myself for being an idiot and leaving my vehicle in DRIVE. If you are going to be an idiot, try doing it somewhere not so far out of cellular reach and of course, call Northstar because most the other companies in town won't touch you out there. They also will likely not be as cool, calm and collect as Lyle. Again, I hope you never have to meet Lyle. Just don't be an idiot and it likely won't happen.
Just had a great experience with Northstar Towing! Driver showed up early, loaded our van quickly and safely, was able to give both my husband and myself a ride with the vehicle. Was friendly, funny, kind and patient (even with the rude manager of the Auto zone where he dropped us off). Thank you so much!
Vehicle overheated in unideal location. Vehicle was covered through Progressive auto who dispatched this outstanding company. Dispatch quickly called and verified if I felt safe in my location, however I did not. Within 10 minutes Lyle showed up. Reassured I was in good hands, and had me sit safely in the passenger seat. Lyle took great care loading up and unloading my vehicle. During the whole trip, I felt safe and well taken care of. Lyle was an amazing representation of this fantastic local company. Highly recommend.
Northstar towing is awesome! Steven came out and jumped my Porsche 911 today. It only took a moment, and he knew exactly what he was doing. These guys are very professional. Very clean outfit. Thanks for the courteous service today, I really appreciate it! Keep up the good work guys!
