Exceptional Service – Highly Recommend CB Towing!
We had an incredibly stressful and scary experience when our car became completely stuck in the water and couldn’t move at all. Thankfully, CB Towing came to the rescue and truly saved the day. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, calm, and clearly knowledgeable about how to handle the situation.
The entire team made us feel comfortable and safe during what could’ve been a much more overwhelming moment. The owner/manager on the phone was especially informative and reassuring—he explained everything clearly and gave us peace of mind.
What stood out the most was how careful and skilled they were in getting our car out. They handled the SUV with care and precision. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
I can’t thank CB Towing enough and would absolutely recommend their services to anyone in need. They went above and beyond for us when we really needed it.

Absolutely avoid. Charges an unreasonable amount of money for simple jobs. I was stuck in snow. They had to pull me 10 feet back to dry ground. It took 2 minutes. I was in a vehicle with an external tow hook - they didn’t even have to crawl around on the ground to find somewhere to hook to. I even helped the driver pull the winch line out (mistake in hindsight). I was almost exactly 5 miles from the center of town. Hardly a long distance job. The owner was incredibly hateful and condescending when I called to question the exorbitant price. Talked to me like I was a child. Tried to blame it on the road (it wasn’t paved but you could drive a sedan to where I was). The cherry on top was my vehicle reeked of diesel exhaust every time I got in it for a long time after because of the tow truck spewing black smoke the whole time. I screwed up by not asking the price ahead of time but won’t make that mistake again.
singlehandedly the best service i have ever received. these men are hard workers and genuinely the nicest people ive ever dealt with. (i got stuck in a VERY stupid place and they couldn’t have been more helpful or nice about it despite my stupidity)
Josh and his team (Tabitha and Cody) were incredibly helpful and kind in a situation I had when my 19 year old daughter’s car broke down on a dirt road outside of Crested Butte in a rainstorm at night- a parent’s worst nightmare. They assisted me until the end of the ordeal the next day. They were very honest, trustworthy and reliable. They went above and beyond. A+++
Decided to go out and enjoy nature out past Gothic. Got out of service range and it was getting a little too dark so it was time to turn around and head back. In doing so I got sucked into a ditch trying to get off the road for someone to pass by and after hours of trying, digging and moving rocks in muddy cold water, I realized I needed help.
Shoutout to Cody and CB Towing for helping me get out of this mess this morning. Cody was super helpful, non judgmental, and even picked me up on my way to winch out my car!
An adventure I surely won’t forget and so grateful that CB towing was able to help.
These guys saved the day. My wife ran over a rock in remote Crested Butte. Josh was a straight shooter and gave me options. He and his team were very responsive. They got my car and family back to Denver. Nicholas, the tow driver was a saint and I strongly recommend their services. Much appreciated!
I dumped my motorcycle on a rainy afternoon between Crested Butte and Kebler corner. Dirt road of course. Put a hole through the generator cover and oil was leaking so I could not drive the final ten miles. My brothers rode into Crested and found the only tow place in town, which was CB Towing. Josh agreed to bring a truck out and haul my bike into his shop. Everything was closed and it was late in the evening so Josh let me keep the bike in his shop overnight. He then gave my wife and I a ride to Gunnison where we had hotel reservations. The next morning he picked us up and gave us a ride back to Crested. He let me use his tools to change my oil since some dirt was in the cover. I was able to patch the hole with some JB Weld and be on my way.
Josh did not have to do any of this beyond the regular tow, but he went out of his way to make sure we were taking care of. This was some of the best service we've experienced in a long time. That whole area around Crested and Gunnison should be proud to have such competent and good people to rely on in the towing business. 5 stars all the way. These guys are phenomenal! We gave them a call close to 10pm on a Friday night and they arrived in less than 10 minutes and they went to work getting us into our house that we locked ourselves out of 🤦🏼♀️ They were some of the nicest guys to work with and they didn’t give up when it came to getting us inside! To add we called 4 other places prior that popped up on google that didn’t have a serviceman in the Gunnison area. Thank you again CB toeing and locksmiths you guys are awesome!
I was stuck out of my truck on top of a mountain in a snowstorm. Josh really really pulled through in a pinch. Great communication and unbelievably timely despite my location. I told my wife when I got home, and even she recalled a positive experience with CB Towing and Josh when her battery died last winter. 11/10
Josh was incredible! We were stuck way out on the summit of Tomichi Pass, in a very precarious situation! He got to us quickly, and pulled some pretty amazing maneuvers to save the truck! He's never failed to be punctual, wonderful, and extremely talented in all of the times that we've used CB Towing! And a shout out to Coty, who also helped our car off the road last winter!

Cody was so amazing!! I popped two tires up behind Emerald Lake, and he made the process as simple and easy as possible even with the rough terrain. Super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend using CB Towing!
Got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, they were there within the hour and helped me figure out where to find tires when I am not at all familiar with the area and I made 10 calls and everywhere was closed. Jeff from CB Towing was very skilled, effective, helpful, and friendly. On a busy morning after 18 inches of snow overnight, Jeff was able to get to my stuck rental super quickly and overcame the obstacles from how my car was stuck to get me headed to the rental shop in Gunnison.I don’t recommend getting stuck, but if you do, call CB Towing!
These guys were awesome. They saved our trip when our diesel van froze overnight. They picked us up quickly and fixed our van in their garage. They were super helpful and charged a reasonable fee. Highly recommend.
Josh and CB Towing are simply awesome. We got in a jam way back up in a canyon where there was no cell service s no nothing but snow & ice and Josh got us taken care of. He was skilled, responsive, communicative, honest, fair, and he got a very difficult job done extricating our truck. I got myself into trouble and Josh got me out of it and wouldn’t rest until that was done safely. I can’t say enough good things. If you have a towing or recovery need, there is absolutely no need to call anyone other than Josh and CB Towing. Google only lets me give 5 stars but I’d give him 10 if I could. Thank you, Josh, for taking such great care of us in a difficult setting.
Josh was very helpful! I struggled to find someone to repair a flat on a Friday afternoon and while he ended up having to run a tow, he made sure to refer me to another place that could help me out. Josh at CB towing is amazing. I got stuck on the mountain on July 3rd and couldn't drive it down without doing more damage. Josh came out and got my car off the mountain in no time. Surprised cause it's a holiday weekend. Super nice much better prices than anyone else I would have found and fast. On our last day of ski vacation, we discovered a low tire the would need repaired before traveling back home. AAA sent out CB Towing. Josh arrived quickly and changed my tire. He helped even more, by dropping bad tire off to be repaired. His kindness taking my tire, saved my day! I thought my last ski day would be wasted on trying to get a tire repaired. Working with Josh and CB Towing was a great experience! He found a way to fit us in his busy Christmas Eve schedule during a snowstorm and helped us out by storing our car while working out details for repair. Despite the busy time, Josh came through again and towed our car to Denver - an 8 hour round trip on a holiday weekend. We appreciate his great customer service, professionalism and highly recommend CB Towing.
While I suppose I wouldn't recommend getting your car stuck in the snow, Josh was such a delight that I'm kind of glad we did! His service was prompt, capable, and genuinely a good time. We were stuck overnight and incredibly tired and stressed out, and he managed to transform that into a highlight of our trip. Can't recommend highly enough.

Josh at CB Towing is amazing! Two weeks ago, on a Saturday evening, my car had a mechanical problem in Crested Butte. To make matters complex, I had to leave Crested Butte on Sunday morning. I called CB and Josh came to tow the car on Saturday evening to a repair shop in Gunnison (no repair shops were to be open on Sunday). But, then, how would I have gotten to Gunnison with all my bags? A bus to Gunnison with all the stuff would have been cumbersome. Josh was kind to offer to pick me up on Sunday morning and drive me to my car in Gunnison. That's a world-class service. I highly recommend CB Towing. Lucky to have met Josh!
