We spent some time shopping and getting to know Mike and we have a new friend. The shop has some amazing finds and the selection of reclaimed wood is awesome. Mike knows his stuff, is so friendly and more then willing to help when picking out products for a project. This will be on my list to visit during future trips to Colorado.
Wow. Mike is such a great guy. I just bought two gorgeous 25 foot oak beams from him (they weigh over 500 pounds each) that were reclaimed from a very old barn in Blackburn, MO. He was super easy to work with, helped me load it up and I'll be looking for opportunities to work with him and City Limit Antiques again. It's also a great excuse to head down to Elbert, CO which is a really pretty part of the world. If you're looking for reclaimed wood, look no further because you just found one of the best suppliers in the area.
Mike the owner is outstanding! Very friendly. Call him first to make sure he is available as he picks up the materials himself. He has all sizes of old barnwood and corrugated metal. Great experience!
I just got back from City Limit Antiques and Reclaimed Materials and I can't praise them enough! I was looking for a couple beams for fireplace mantels and a couple large boards for floating shelves. I was AMAZED by the selection they had of REAL reclaimed barnwood. Everywhere else that I looked for reclaimed wood had limited selection of wood that did not seem to be actually reclaimed wood.
I was met at the yard by Tim, who asked me what I was looking for and what I was using the wood for. He was incredibly patient with me as I explored their expansive selection. He helped me find some amazing pieces.
Mark, the owner, came to the shop to introduce himself to me. Mark is very knowledgeable about everything in his shop and obviously passionate about his work.

Awesome place to find treasures from the past, historic beams, and barn wood galore, owner Mike is a pleasure to do business with. We bought wood from Mike to finish renovating the old barns on the ranch for our event venue! Worth the drive to the small town of Elbert to shop for some rustic, vintage history!
