Didn’t even get to make an appointment. Lady over the phone was extremely rude, cut me off every time I spoke trying to explain my situation because she only wanted yes or no answers then rambles on for literally 6 mins about information that does not pertain to me without giving me a single chance to talk.

This clinic came highly recommended and has great reviews, so I called to make an appointment. It took four attempts throughout the day before anyone answered—there wasn’t an answering machine. When I finally got through, I was told they are accepting new clients but have no availability, which is completely understandable. What surprised me was the response when I asked if they had a cancellation list (a very common practice at most clinics). The person on the phone said, “We don’t. We service 75,000 families and don’t have time for that.” A simple “no, we don’t offer a waitlist” would have been totally fine. But the dismissive tone and lack of basic customer service gave me zero confidence in trusting them with my animals. If this is how they treat someone with no existing relationship, I can’t imagine the experience being better once I’m a client. I won’t be taking my pets here.

Called this morning to schedule my dog for shots and the receptionist is very unpleasant to speak with.

My phone experience with the Air Force Academy's was unpleasant. The representative was rude and patronizing, when asking if they had availability, they stated "their auto message said they didn't" have availability, even though I never reached one. When I asked if I’d be able schedule for future availability, they curtly replied, "Of course not." I understand if they are booked up and is no problem but this dismissive and unpleasant interaction showed they have a significant lack of basic customer service skills.

Called 2 times and both times the lady on the phone was very RUDE! The first time I asked if they have availability in a certain month and the lady said no and I go on to say okay I will call back closer to that month. She then says “if you wish” in a very snarky tone. The second time was even worse I called closer to the month and asked if they had any appointments in that month. She then cuts me off and says “NOPE!” In a very irritated tone. This customer service is very unprofessional, and someone needs to speak to their receptionist on how to have proper customer service. If you’re looking for a vet Fort Carson is your go to! They are more professional and their customer service is top notch.

The vet was very nice, tech was great. I think they’re just severely understaffed because the registration process was a nightmare. I filled out and emailed my pets paperwork twice and even came in and filled it out and they lost it three times.

There is good and bad here just like any vet. I haven't had trouble getting in touch with them this year, so for those with phone issues, try them again. They are a good vet for wellness care, but they openly admit you need to go elsewhere for emergencies, so you should keep a local off base vet. Their prices are very good for "exams" and vaccines. You could save money by going to a vaccination clinic, but will have to wait in line. And if you need any meds prescribed it makes sense to do a wellness exam and vaccines as the vaccines are a little cheaper on base. We had trouble with them treating our elderly 5lb dog... They were incredibly rough with her and she actually screamed (such a creepy sound... I didn't know dogs could do that.) So, we have stopped taking her there. She is also on a medication for her heart and they told us they wouldn't be able to write prescriptions for the medication because they didn't have the right kind of licensing. (I think that has since changed, but I'm not sure as we haven't taken her back.) I don't care for the people here and neither does my dog. They aren't super friendly or helpful. For the wellness exams, they only give shots, they don't seem to do a physical or look for any issues. You have to bring up absolutely anything you might think is concerning. They have a hard time getting blood from our dogs (multiple sizes - 5-60 lbs) which is a bit concerning. And they don't offer alternatives unless you specifically ask. It's almost like they don't really care. Previous vets I have been to have tried to make friends with my dogs.... Not one person here has ever tried to give a treat, head pat, nothing. I do wonder why they work with pets. Now, because this is a discounted vet, I will say they will give you options to help save money. We had a dog scheduled for vaccines and they told us it would cost more if they looked at him that day because he we were concerned about a potential illness. (He is currently at another vet having an emergency appt, so I wish they hadn't encouraged us to come back when he is better.) They do allow you to take your prescriptions off base (Costco) to get better prices, but their prices on meds are competitive with our discounted pet pharmacies. The build is old and a bit worn down. It definitely doesn't have a cheery feel when walking in, but perhaps consider that you know you aren't paying twice as much just for a pretty building. (Pine Creek vet, I'm looking at you.) They will also be getting a new vet soon and might start doing teeth cleanings in August. They will not keep a wait list of people wanting teeth cleanings because they told me they don't call people to schedule those. (I really think they are likely understaffed.) Perhaps if they get the right funding they will get better. They did help fix an ongoing problem (at one visit) with my dog that another vet (centennial - ironically Dr Martinez works at both vets) couldn't figure out, so I am very grateful for that and will continue to use them until it gets really bad.

They were able to help us out and get the UK with all the correct paperwork. No issues at customs!

My Golden Retriever gets amped up like the Cocaine Bear when we have to visit the vet, but everyone at this location is so patient and understanding with him. They're honestly the best vet office in the area, especially when it comes to my anxious 102# maniac dog.

This clinic is cheaper than other clinics, but they don’t answer their phone very often, and the vets are not very helpful with my elderly dogs conditions.

We stayed at the Fam Camp on base & this vet clinic was within walking & viewing distance. My pup had a pretty serious issue come up towards the end of our 3 week stay & we needed to get him into a vet as his situation could've gotten much worse really fast. I called numerous times only to get a recording stating their hours & lunch break times. They also stated on the recording that they do not have voice mail & we would just have to keep calling until someone answered the phone. I finally got a person on the other end & I very briefly described the situation & mentioned that I was fully aware that I was asking alot of them to get us in last minute but I figured since it was on base that they would take care of their own people along with their pets. I was hoping that after I told them our dire situation that they would somehow be able to fit us in if there was perhaps a cancelation or a no-show but all they wanted to know was if my dog was already registered with them. I reiterated the fact that we were leaving the Fam Camp in 3 days & attempted to explain our pup's situation again & they said we'd need to make an appointment to have him registered with them 1st. I asked when that would be & they said "maybe sometime this week at the earliest". I was dumbfounded at their lack of concern for my pet & our unexpected emergency. The guy couldn't have been any less indifferent to our pet's serious medical issue. They could've registered us AND saw us at the same time if nothing else. So after the call ended I decided to try a vet off base & they were able to get us in the next day! So please don't waste your time or jeopardize your pets health with these people that are supposed to be in the business of caring for your pets but don't. Instead of dealing with all this & their hassles just call Northgate Animal Hospital instead like we did. (They actually cared about our situation.) Because apparently any other vet will care more about your pet than this place. Very sad.

Their schedule can get busy sometimes, but mostly you can get your pet to be seen within a week. The staff is great always caring, very helpful, and knowledgeable!

Noone ever answers the phone. I gave up after trying to talk to someone for a long time since PCSing here?

Long time patron. Absolutely love, Dr. Martinez. Convenient location and wonderful staff make it the only place for me and my family!

My Kona girl loves her Vet! She received a couple annual shots & was treated for a sore on her arm that she kept licking. It’s been a couple days on her medication & the wound is almost gone! Great customer service, easy to book appointment, plenty of availability, no long wait times, & I can buy all her medications here (Heartgard & Bravecto).

Military vet facility on base so only offering support to active duty and veterans. Great prices and friendly staff but unfortunately always seem to be short-staffed. Therefore, they tend to get behind on timing of appointments and can forget to follow-up with you on blood lab results or get your bill wrong, etc. They do not have a Facebook page or voicemail machine so if you try to call and can’t get through, you have to just keep trying til you get someone. Availability can sometimes be difficult to get in so if you have an emergency, call an emergency facility instead. If you’re aware of this, it’s worth it for the better pricing!

Registered our cat as we moved on post. It was easy and efficient. Good thing we went compared to calling because we never had anyone on the line pick it up.

Fort Carson vet sent us here cause they've been full for a while and my dog needed to be checked for a UTI cause I'm kind of a hypochondriac for my dog's health. I now go here for their appointments since referred. Only setback is that they're not as equipped as a regular vet but for most things, they can do. Sometimes the front desk agent seems to have an attitude but all the vet techs and doctors are really nice. Overall, I really love their care and services here with my pups. If you're military or able to, I suggest checking them out if you have dogs.

I have used the Vet Clinic for four years and will continue to do so. The Dr. is very knowledgeable, personable and empathetic. The front desk help is always ready to help with my pets' needs.

Brought my elderly dog in for an appointment, the tech berated me for tapping my dog on her hind end to get her attention (as per our training from when she was a pup). Then I was invited to leave without her getting her wellness appt. Now she has to wait 3 weeks before she can get in at another location.

Great staff and care. May be hard to reach by phone and navigate the USAFA down days, but we’ll worth the wait and trouble!

We usually go in the winter months. But we were there in July. It is a quiet base, but the FAMCAMP is always beautiful. We live in the desert southwest so its always special to see green grass and all the trees.

Always a pleasant experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! The absolute best clinic in the area that we have found for our epileptic pup.

Exceptional care. Though they are limited in their services, they provide the highest quality of care for the servises they provide.

Everyone is so kind and welcoming. Our puppy loves going to see Alicia and Dr Martinez. I don’t even think she even realizes when Dr Martinez provides her with the vaccinations
