Please consider using another shop for your car repair needs. I was very disappointed in the service I received and needed to pay at another location to finally resolve the issue. I really hope this saves someone money and hassle.

Pump 8 has a black dot on the screen that makes it necessary to prepay inside. Save your receipts until shell helps this independent owner replace/upgrade his pay at the pump options. Towing service to/from here is one of the most reliable in Eagle county.

I had an awful situation with my vehicle and had to be towed from Vail to Albuquerque!!!!! A crazy insane unreasonable amount of money , my AAA only covered first 7 miles. BUT the saving grace was the professionalism and customer service of the towing driver, Jose! He was the best and the 7hr ride was great due to Jose!

Darin is the sweetest, knowledgable, and accommodating person. He made an unfortunate event a rather pleasant experience for us. He even saved us a lot of money with his general car knowledge. I truly felt like he was more interested in our well being than our money.

I wish I would have got the name of the gentleman that towed my vehicle. Very nice guy, got the job done fast.

THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME $300 FOR A CAN OF GAS THAT THEY HAD WHEN I WAS DIRECTLY BEHIND A CAR THAT THEY WERE TOWING FROM AN ACCIDENT I was driving home from the hospital in Vale and I thought there was a gas station just east of it but I was wrong, so I pulled over behind a bunch of police cars who were dealing with an accident because I didn’t have enough gas to get to the next station. I asked if they could help me and they said they would ask the tow truck to bring a can of gas with them since they were already coming to tow the car anyway. They told me to go back to my car and turn on the AC since it was extremely hot. I waited there for an hour and a half because they kept telling me that someone was coming soon (wasting the little gas I had left). The guy finally shows up so I get out of my car to profusely thank him. He asks me if the cops told me the total and I said no, he tells me it’s two seventy-nine plus gas. I’m like ok cool I have some cash I’ll just give you $3 for the gallon, then I realize what he meant and ask “do you mean two HUNDRED seventy nine dollars????” And he’s like yeah my jaw about hit the floor too when my boss told me that but he said there’s a one hour minimum. I think he’s confused so I tell him that the car right in front of me is the car getting towed, he assures me that he is saying what he means. This conversation happened like 2 more times and then he came up to me WITH THE GAS TANK IN HIS HAND and said “do you have like $100” and I told him no I’m literally living off of food stamps and am driving around a company car because someone totaled my car and destroyed my wrist which is why I had to go to the hospital. He left. He literally just left me on the side of the road in scathing heat with now 0 gas because they told me to use it on AC while we waited for him. He told me he didn’t want to get fired. I truly hope he does because wtaf. 0 humanity. Another tow truck eventually pulled up behind me and just gave me half a gallon for free btw. I really wish I had gotten his info because he deserves your business, NOT these people.

Had a little break down in Vail while trying to drive to Littleton. West Vail Shell/ Brett had me squared away with the quickest tow I’ve ever had. I think once I contacted AAA assistance I was loaded up and on the road in like 30 minutes, tops. Brett my driver was a rockstar and my ride back to Littleton was a great experience! Super personable and I enjoyed the conversations we had. This man deserves a raise! So I highly recommend West Vail Shell! Having Brett for your driver is a must! He has some great story’s of his life’s adventures and I hope him the best for what’s ahead! You’re the man Brett, thanks again!! 👊💯🙌👍

Great experience with WVS and Darin during a recent roadside assistance & dead battery replacement for my SUV. He communicated with me at every step and was quick to assist.

Went to get a car wash for $13. First time it stopped mid soap and then made me leave the car wash without finishing. I went in to the service attendant who restarted it. It gave the full thing and after errands I noticed it had essentially ripped the front of my license plate off the bumper and ripped off the screw. Beware! If this had been damage to my actual car… this wouldn’t have ended well

Recently had my car towed through a AAA request, and Towing got us quick and towed us to the WV Shell. I had concerns about my car getting back to Denver and a chaotic experience with the dealership in Denver; however, Chris at West Vail Shell went above and beyond to help figure out the issues! It took 4 days to get the issue resolved (as the dealership messed up) and Chris was helpful and kind throughout the whole process. Although I hope I am not needing a tow anytime soon, I would definitely use these guys time after time. Thanks again for all the help!

I needed roadside assistance one evening and my insurance put me in touch with this service station. This used to be my local place to get gas and I knew right away who I was talking to. Usually a friendly face who asks how my day is going, Dan was inpatient and patronizing during what was already a scary time being on the side of 70 with an 8ft shoulder. When trying to figure out where exactly my car was, Dan thought he needed to explain what mile markers are and tried telling me he’d call me back once I knew I had everything I needed for them to come change my tire. I had to loudly interrupt him to tell him I know my vehicle and had a good general idea of where I was. Thankfully the man who showed up 45 minutes later to fix my tire was very kind, helpful and made up for the previous behavior. My husband and I no longer support this service station.

Incredible company. Every driver is kind. Yesterday I waited 4 hours for a tow with triple a then put in a new request, they picked the car up after hearing me call them explaining the situation and how I almost went out of pocket. They also went out of their way to pick up today’s call to get my car to denver. Choose this company, they are genuinely trying to help people out instead of picking up for the money!!!

Not enough stars! My teen kids were skiing at Copper Mountain and locked their keys in their car (Copper Mountain is 35-45 minutes and over a mountain pass from Vail). My son has diabetes and all his emergency supplies were also in the car locked up so they needed into the car ASAP, and I was at least 2 hours away. I called every locksmith in the area, no one would either answer the phone or was too busy to help them. Darren (I think that was his name) at West Vail Shell not only was willing, he was on the road in under 10 minutes and before I had even paid him to help my kids. He was there in less than 45 minutes and (quite literally) saved the day. I am grateful for his friendly service. 10 stars!

Not the greatest gas station in the world. Some of my gripes include that there aren’t prices on most of the stuff in the store so you have no idea what you’ll end up paying. There was also not mirror in the bathroom, which made it impossible to snap a quick pic for the gram. A positive, the woman working was really nice.

Shawn rocks! Great customer service. Great conversation and knowledge of the area. He went above and beyond trying to find us a garage that would work on our bus. Even though nobody in the area would do a simple repair he had our back. Give this guy a raise! Aaron and Jess

These guys were super helpful and knowledgeable. My car broke down on I-70 and they were able to get me back to Vail quickly and then to a shop in Boulder without difficulty. Great service - hope to never need them again, but would be happy to use them if needed!

Was literally stuck on the side of a mountain, with a car that was on fire. My insurance company was no help and couldn't find anybody to tow us into town for 2 hrs. One call to the amazing people at West Vail Shell and they were there in twenty minutes. The safely got my family and me to the next town and we were able to continue our vacation. I recommend them 100% and will always be a loyal customer!!!

I hit a pothole going from the mountains to Denver, blew out my tire, and West Vail Shell came to the rescue. Could not have been a better experience. Chris was kind and communicative setting up the towing from Vail to Denver. Sean delivered my car this morning and again, was so kind, friendly, and helpful. And to add to everything, it was a busy night for them, they were working on no sleep, and you'd never know it. If you find yourself in need to car assistance in the mountains, look no further. Darin was fabulous! My alternator went out in Edwards and West Vail Shell picked me up, but when the part could not be replaced in Vail for several days he got me (the car and my dog) all the way home to Denver. I felt so helpless until Darin came along and took charge getting me safely and quickly home. It's so nice to know Darin and West Vail Shell are up there. Thanks so very much for everything!

I had a great experience with this Shell. Got a flat tire (in our driveway), they had someone (Zack)out to me within an hour. Zack was very knowledgeable and friendly and found the issue within minutes and helped me get the tire off so I could get it serviced the next morning when their shop opened. Great service and reasonably priced!

The gentleman working the shift on 12/1/19 at 8:30pm was really nice. We were very impressed with how helpful he was. We were having issues with low tire pressure and he helped as much as he could. This store was the only place that had air in Vail and it was free. We were driving back from Utah so the free air was very helpful. Thank you we will be stopping here every time we drive this direction from now on.

Darin was great, I had a low tire and he immediately stopped what he was doing to help. He looked at all my tires, gave me a quick lesson on tire safety and proper inflation and got me safely back on the road . The care and service of West Vail Shell is unsurpassed and a rarity this day. Thank you!!!!

Shaun came & found us on the side of the road & changed my flat tire so fast it made my head spin! He knew how to get my spare down & even loaded my flat tire for me. He recommended I get air in the spare, it was just a little low. He was very nice & told me of all the local places that could repair the tire in the morning. This was at 8:30pm on a Sunday night!! What a great service! Thank you so much!!

I stopped in late after a long drive. The guy at the front was awesome. I cant imagine him not being the owner. He was super friendly, gave me directions, and local tips. Super cool experience. This store deserves your business! Heads up. Doesn't sell alcohol. Thanks again guy!

West Vail Shell is the BEST. Josh & Darren are awesome. I stopped into West Vail Shell after all flights out of Aspen were cancelled so we needed to drive to Denver to get a flight out. In the rush, I left my phone in the restroom but didn't realize until it was too late in Denver. Not only did Josh find my phone and keep it safely for me, Darren went above and beyond to take it the UPS store to help me overnight it back to me. They were AMAZING. I highly recommend West Vail Shell. Definitely choose it over anywhere else in Vail- solid team, and exceptional customer service :) Thank you!
