called on a part and was very rude when i just asked for a price . i didnt want him to waste his time pulling it and what not. i guess he dont need the business
One of Phil's trucks, with a vehicle on the bed, just sped through the town of Somerset at 50-60 mph in a posted 25 mph. My property goes up to the edge of CO-133 and I was raking, and planting grass seed. Not only did he endanger my life by speeding, but he also was recklessly disregardful of my life, by not giving me any berth and coming near my shoulders and head. The driver has dark hair w/beard and mustache. I called and talked to the owner, Phil and he denied that he had a truck out. Period. I told him that the truck had "Phil's Auto" painted on the side in huge letters. He still denied it. I have lived here 7 years, been towed by Phil and see Phil's trucks on a very regular basis, so the fact that he lied to me to protect his ignorant Trumbilly employee is not only egregious, it is amoral.
Phil's Auto responded with snarkiness and lies. I am the author of 3 books. I most certainly am able to read the name PHIL'S TOWING. Get a grip, loser.
This company is trustworthy. The part arrived when they said it would, it was the correct part and the part worked on the first go. Carol answered my phone calls, and she was very personable and gave me thorough detail of the process. Great business and I highly recommend you give them a shot.

Great place with lots of inventory. I got a great deal on alloy wheels. The parts puller quoted me a incorrect price that was lower than normal. When I told the front office what he quoted me, they backed up the price that he quoted me and I got a good deal.
Poor signage for how they would like you to enter the yard(when office is closed even though they say open)then aggressively approach you in the yard when unwritten and posted rules are "broken". Looked at product compared to price and nothing in the yard was worth the advertised price on line(this is compared to many pull yards I have been to).also(as any you pull yard is) it is a you pull it yard so anybody shopping here will have to deal with people not having the knowledge of what they are doing. Or if you don't know your left to figure it out(I have found out I am wrong in this one). The first two complaints are why I won't be trying again.
Phil's yard has taken a number of my dead vehicles for scrap, giving a fair time price., And ready to work with.

Eric was the only one out of three towing services who could figure out how to get my car out of the garage and onto a truck when it had a completely dead battery. He has superior knowledge about how to handle newer vehicles that are often more challenging to move without power. Great communication during the entire towing process. Service was both professional and pleasant.

I needed a rear window for my '93 van. Phil's had one for a reasonable price. Directions to their location were perfect. I got my window loaded in a matter of minutes. Highly recommend.
Amazing company , knowledgeable driver with great person skills , we were stuck on McClure pass and they drove 45 minutes or more to get to us and so thankful they were available. They have towed us before and same driver lol. Keep their number handy !!!! Plus driver dropped hubby off at home so he didn’t have to walk in lightning . Thank you Phil’s !!

Best towing service I ever had interaction with. Our driver was Josh. He knew exactly what he was doing. The way our truck was stuck, we couldn't believe he got it out without a scratch. Definitely knew what he was doing.
A few months ago, my brakes went out and I almost rolled my car off of a steep mountain cliff. Two other tow companies took one look at my car and told me they couldn't help me. Phil, Josh and Caleb came to the rescue! Literally! The level of care, compassion, and professionalism I experienced from them is unmatched. I believe this is by-far the best towing company in Western Colorado! They preformed the tow with little to no damage to my engine, and I was able to drive my car afterwards with no issues( other than a broken windshield and monster scratches from rocks). I was quite impressed with their organization of inventory at the salvage yard as well. No matter what problem you get yourself into.... Josh and Caleb at Phil's towing will get you out! Called and spoke with Phil about a discontinued and obsolete Instrument Panel Fusebox for a late 90s Saturn. Phil returned my call in a timely fashion after removing the fusebox (no small chore) and was on the phone with me more than a few occasions to help verify that the part would match our needs. Shipped it to Denver for a very reasonable rate and even followed up to make sure it worked well!!! Great job Phil!
Called to get a price on a part, the person I talked to said it would be $50 for shipping since it was a U-pull-it yard. Fair enough, but I wasn't 100% sure I needed the part right now so I said I'd have to think about it. His response was "I understand, I'm used to people wasting my time." If I actually do need this part I'll be sure to get it somewhere else since this place is too busy to exhibit basic civility to potential customers.
BUYER BEWARE!!! Do NOT buy anything from this establishment. They will sell you non functioning parts and will lie to you about the condition it's in. Purchased an engine block from them since the one I was replacing was out. After being installed it turns out the block they sold me was also bad. I called them about it and all they said was "we told you it was bad" (which is not true, I was told it was in good condition and fully functional). Why would I purchase a bad block to replace a bad block?! Makes no sense whatsoever! They have horrible customer service! Now I'm out time and money. Save yourself a headache, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
