These guys are GREAT! Was traveling in Cuchara and my 'Oil Maintenance Req'd' light came on in my Highlander... duh. Didn't check that... these guys let me set up an appt. to get my oil changed and did a GREAT job! They even washed my windows! Steve was AWESOME. Efficient, affordable, and excellent.
I had a great experience with Steve at La Vita Oil. I was traveling to Cuchara and caught a nail in my tire. I pulled in and Steve helped patch the issue within a timely manner and a reasonable price! Thank you all!
Took our cat to then they said needed a new rear differential and gave me a hard time about making payments finally after I was in tears agreed to it. 2weeks later they said it was done, picked it up didn't even make it up.the hill outside of LaVeta, took it back to them this time they replaced the thermostat body and cover, again 2 weeks later they say it's done and a repeat not even up the hill.and it's overheating and barely moving. Husband went down there and told the owners son it's still.not right and he said I know you've got a cracked block. I'M BEYOND PISSED. THAT IS DOWNRIGHT FRAUD. REALLY THINKING BOUT SMALL.CLAIMS COURT. $2000 spent there and now behind on rent with a useless vehicle.
We are so grateful to have discovered this place! We arrived with a bum tire on our fifth wheel, but they had the exact tire we needed in stock. The team quickly mounted and balanced it, getting us back on the road in just 20 minutes. The service was truly outstanding! Thank you so much for your help!
Do not go here unless you want to get ripped off! Rude, unprofessional, quoted me 750$ hourly labour rate, along with an 500$ up charge on a belt and waterpump that cost 100$. Unreal.
Awfully rude for such a nice town. I walked in and was not acknowledged, and when I said hello the guy just shrugged. I told him I had a trailer tire with a hole in it (which I had already rolled up front and he watched)
The guy never looked up from his computer, just cut me off before I finished talking and said with a huge attitude “Just put it over there and my guys will deal with it when they get back from lunch”
Fact is I had already patched the tire myself and just needed air.
Now I realize it was lunch time, and I was in no rush. I could have just came back for the tire later. But this guy was so rude I just decided to leave. I was shocked at how rude and unkind this man was. I’ve been in this town for a while and this is the first encounter with someone like this.
I thought about making an appointment for them to service my truck also but that won’t be happening now.
Had a slow leak in my tire for months. Been to a couple places prior that kept saying it was a leak around the rim and needed to get it fixed when I got to a big city. I'd been filling it with my air compressor every day because I hadn't been traveling to any big cities. When I finally got to one, they were way too busy. I needed to do something because my air compressor died. I was heading to La Veta. I arrived in town right before they closed. They advised me to come back in the morning. I was staying across the street for a few days so that would work. They are very busy with oil changes and such but took time to help me out. Took my tire off and found a nail and was able to fix it quickly, for a very reasonable price. I believe it was Joshua (hope I remembered the name correctly) and his son who took care of me. Very friendly. Great guys. Highly recommend their services.
Fast and quick service! I’m 16 hours away from home and had a tire blow. I talked to them on a Saturday and they were able to order me a new tire by Monday morning. They changed my rim and got my new tire on in less than an hour! Highly recommend them to anyone! Very accommodating.

Lacking maturity for sure, couldn’t handle me calling him out on a mistake they clearly made.
In the future, a simple apology goes a long way.
Frank and his son were very helpful! My vehicle was stuck in a hill with lots of snow. He called the city to removed the snow. In addition, the tire chain broke and damaged the brake fluid line. Frank and his mechanic team was able to fix my vehicle within 3 hours, I definitely recommend their service, they are reliable and affordable.

I actually wasn’t there, but the Director of our horse rescue was told roads were good to go pick up 4 horses and they were NOT. Was talking with her on the phone through the whole experience, driver was skilled, compassionate and followed her down and pulled her out twice in really scary conditions. Horses and rig and humans all got out with just some minor issues. Thank you La Vita Oil!!!
One of our CNA's broke down near La Veta going to her patient visit when the tire blew out. The gentlemen that answered the phone was awesome. They came and picked up and towed her to their shop to get her back on the road. While the CNA was waiting for her tire to be fixed a taller gentlemen began to be extremely rude and upset that they had to repair the tire. Please be aware that at least one gentlemen there that clearly wasn't hugged as a child by his mommy. Anyway, my organization will not be using this place again thanks to him
Actually, I was towing a trailer. The ball was coming off on a holiday. They came in, opened the business and got me on my way. Fast and fair. Great integrity.
it's pretty obvious the same guy submitted 3 reviews under different alias' to drive the rating down. the staff here are top notch and aim to please. if you walk in and start giving them a bad time they are probably not going to allow you to walk all over them while your dog pees on their pumps.
