Two bins for cardboard! Lots of room for parking large trucks. Cones blocking part the the exit was annoying. Will be going back soon to drop off my Christmas tree. Thanks B'field!
If you're a Broomfield resident this is a very convenient place to do your part to recycle. We never filled our trash company biweekly recycling bin and were paying more than the service was worth. Thank you Broomfield
It's straightforward of what goes where and what can be recycled. There's even pictures and descriptions, hint hint. They do empty frequently, so if the container is full come back another day. An Overflow mix recycle container would help. Need the Carboard Overflow option again too.
We recently moved from California to Broomfield Colorado. A 4k square footage of house requires lots of boxes wrapping papers etcetera… After unboxing, we ended up with 6ft H x 9ft L x 9ft W of folded cardboard boxes including the wrapping papers. Before we knew about broomfield Recycling center, We called a junk removal company and got quoted of almost $800. I’m glad I searched around before committing to them. After 9 trips SUV full of boxes, it saves me lots of $$$. Broomfield recycling is FREE, opens 24hrs. They have commercial sizes bins. There’s a very nice person works there for any inquiry you might have. FYI, the recycling center is for Broomfield Residents Only.
Its great that there's a place to recycle. I just wish there weren't so many rules on what can and cannot be recycled here. For instance, why aren't there options for batteries, bags, mercury bulbs, etc.? Why don't they take soda rings, styrofoam, or shredded paper?..
No signs about wearing masks. There are always a bunch of people here who are INCREDIBLY RUDE. Even if you arrive first, people will still breathe down your neck literally while you unload your recycling. People stand so close and don't wear masks. Been here many times in the past month and each time is the same. Rude folks amd COVID exposure. Rather drive an extra 10 mins to recycle in westminster.
I really dig taking my recyclables to this center. It is clean, accessible, instructions are clearly posted. The corrugated cardboard goes all the way to the left when facing the bins. You can not recycle plastic bags, shredded paper in bags or Styrofoam here but all else goes in the other bins. I like not having to separate everything out as the light boxes like food containers and plastic bottles, newspapers, tin cans, glass jars all can go in the same bin and there is a ramp to walk up at the left side bins.. Corrugated:heavy cardboard to the left and other recycling on the right. Thank you for recycling and for taking such good care of this place. Nice place to meet great people, too!
