Service was great, customer service was polite and helpful.
I was a little surprised that the write up on the service i had done was not captured in the app.
There are some inconsistencies in what i do to my truck elsewhere is not documented. Maybe you guys can teach me so we dont have such a back in forth if i change a fluid or replace something that is specialized for my truck. I had specialized 4x4 work done by the guys who did my lift and most shops cant get the alignment. And this last time they had also replaced my brake rotors and pads. I was convinced they had done my fluid and coopers wanted to do my brake fluid. I deferred that service. And there was a little back and forth that i will check my records but it didnt seem very well documented. By me or by either shop. Thats what was not captured in the app. But the conversation would have made more sense if the app write up was there. No big deal just helpful criticism. They also had a rebate from my previous service. That was nice.Feb 14, 2026 -
They got me in the next day after I broke my passenger side mirror backing out of my garage. I already ordered a replacement, but changed my mind on trying to install it myself. Many shops don’t accept parts brought in by the customer because they expect to make money on parts on top of labor. This was not even a question at Cooper’s and they did a stellar job for a very reasonable price! Definitely recommend them and I will bring my car here the next time it needs a service or any work!

I’ve been to Coopers many times with a couple cars. They share photos and breakdowns of the repairs. They also helped me diagnose a problem so the manufacturer could repair something under warranty.

I like these guys they do a great job. Plus they are open from 7am to 7 pm and on the weekend... I never had a bad experience so thanks Guys!!!

I feel that I was a victim of parts chasing, it took them 3 attempts to fix the same problem! First they replaced my alternator $895, next visit same noise so they replace serpintine belt and tensioner wheel, $800, finally they replaced the air conditioning compressor $1500 not sure if the problem is fixxed yet! Now I have antifreeze leaking from somewhere! Probly my fault for trusting they would do a good Job! This reall puts my finances in trouble! Not sure if anything can be done!

Get an appointment for oil change and they did a courtesy check on my vehicle, not pushy to get the service or sell item. So highly recommended to visit. They are honest and you won’t have to worry about will they let you charge parts for nothing. Visit for Colorado gasoline pandemic, they test my gasoline and didn’t find infected. I was shock that they didn’t ask me any penny. You win my trust n I will decently come back for sure

I needed a headlight mounted.
I went in w/o an appt and was welcomed by Brandon and told the work would be done in 30 minutes…no charge!
WOW! Unheard of in these days. Kind, efficient and more than worth a 5* recommendation….AnnJan 15, 2026 -
I had a great experience at Cooper’s!
I couldn’t find many shops that wanted to work on my Audi at a fair price, but this shop really impressed me.
The front desk guys (Brandon & Devin) were quick to update me, and seemed to genuinely care about my car’s condition and needs.
Drop off was a breeze, and the car inspection they sent me was very detailed, and easy to understand.
This will be our new shop going forward, and I will be recommending them to others.Jan 12, 2026 -
Not sure if they were just ready for Christmas and got my vehicle out as quick as possible, but at least they didn’t charge me anything because they clearly didn’t do anything. Had to troubleshoot and repair my own vehicle. Will not be recommending anyone to this business.

I had my first experience at Cooper's this week and it was great. I brought my car in for rear brakes after the Honda dealership said I was due for them. Cooper's inspected the brakes and recommended I don't replace them as there was over 50% still left on the pads. They are honest, kind, respectable people. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the Honda dealership for my automotive needs. Thanks, Coopers!

A perfect mix of old-fashioned homegrown service with technology. It was nice to have real time update of exactly what they were doing with photographs and recommendations. They photographed my threadbare tires The scientifically an empirically proved their case., and even though I didn’t change them yet, I feel more responsible towards my car. They respected the fact that I wanted an oil change and the brake light fixed! And did I mention it is walking distance from our house?

These guys are fantastic! We took our son’s new car in for repairs, and we couldn’t be happier. These guys were polite, professional, and the service was great! If you need to take your car in to a mechanic, please take it into Cooper Automotive.

They definitely put their customers first!!

I needed to find a shop close to my work in order to replace my break lights. Not only did they take my car same-day, I was in/out in less and 10min and they didn't charge for the replacement bulbs or time.
Pleasant staff and they seemed well organized.Nov 11, 2025 -
I would be less than honest if I didn’t relate my experience with Cooper’s Auto in Lafayette. I took my Chevy Silverado into them, knowing after a diagnostic check of my own, that the check engine light-on was due to my oil pressure sensor failing. The part is a $16 part. On YouTube videos it is a straightforward replacement although not easy since it’s at the back of the engine, but is do-able by an unexperienced novice.
So I took my truck to Cooper’s knowing why the check engine light was on, but the service person checking me in said they would do some 75 point diagnostic thing. Little did I know that alone would cost $225. I should have asked how much for an estimate. So after a few hours they called me and said it would cost $698.07 to fix the sensor and they had a long list of additional things that needed attention, which I hadn’t ask for and declined.
I begrudgingly went ahead and had them replace the oil pressure sensor at the $698.07 quoted price. But when I picked up my truck, the bill ballooned to $780.25. I guess there had to be a $20.26 tax, which makes sense, but then there was another $61.92 for shop supplies and environmental fees? Final bill to replace a $16 oil pressure sensor in a 2011 Chevy Silverado was $780.25. I will say, so far the check engine light is off and the oil pressure seems to be reading correctly. Do I have a legitimate gripe? Should they have been upfront on the $225 diagnostics, and the additional $61.92 charge?Nov 09, 2025 -
I had a squirrel get into my engine on my 15 -4Runner and chewed some wires twice ! And Coopers was there for me to get it fixed . They are very knowledgeable and explained everything to me . They worked with me on the 2nd repair . I now have some rodent repellents in my 4Runner and parked it up at my in-laws lol . Highly recommend them !

Great service and price. As someone who has a customized and vehicle and is particular about having only high quality shops work on it, I will definitely come back for future repairs.

For the last 5 years I have taken more than 6 cars to them in various states of life for pre-sale inspections, 100k services, off-road upgrades and more. They’ve always given straight answers, have never tried to be deceptive, and I’ve never had to warranty any of their work… yet, knock on wood!
Employees seem pretty loyal and enjoy where they work which I think is a testament to good ownership and shop culture. I’m sure you can find a cheaper labor rate elsewhere but for someone you can trust, peace of mind on their work, and supporting a local business I couldn’t recommend this place more! (Their labor costs is as competitive as you’ll find in the L towns area just to be clear, you’ll be finding cutrate shops in Denver to beat them)Nov 06, 2025 -
Coopers auto has been a staple in our family for years! They’re always available to help whether it’s general maintenance, an honest opinion when looking to buy a used car, or help prioritizing what really needs to be done on our car based on our family’s financial situation, I really appreciate having a trustworthy mechanic to rely on!
Thanks Coopers Auto for all you do!Oct 29, 2025 -
I’ve used Coopers multiple times now. I find they are honest, explain what is going on with the vehicle and complete repairs timely. I think it is also good to utilize a local business.

Like all other car issues, I try and tackle it myself first. After doing so, I realized I was out of my depth. This was a simply tools job, however it brought me such relief when they let me know they had fixed the issue, free of charge.
That never happens!
Coppers staff is knowledgeable, and cooperative. Be nice to them and it will be returned.
Thanks to the team.Oct 25, 2025 -
Professional, friendly and very personable staff. My 2014 Chevy Cruze received “the works.” Can definitely tell the difference in how it handles. I’m happy I found this place. Will definitely continue receiving service here.

Cooper’s Automotive was beyond excellent! They communicate extremely well about the inspection of your vehicle, timing for repair and are transparent on the pricing associated with it all. I cannot speak highly enough of this team! Will be using them in the future for sure!

This shop is fantastic! Truly great service and helped me extremely fast when I was in a bind with my tie rods going on my truck. Highly recommend if in need of a trust worthy shop!

One of the worst mechanic shops ive ever been too, took my car to get an inspection to see whats wrong with the car. I had someone before them run a snap on scanner on my car and it is ghe O2 sensors that it needs, this guy wants to say its going to take over 2000$ to fix the car plus whatever amount to get rid of the check engine light. What a scam of a place do not recommend it to anybody. Never should have taken my car there.

I can’t say enough good things about this shop! After going to multiple other places that told me they couldn’t fix my tire, I finally came here—and they got it done quickly and without any hassle. The staff was professional, honest, and clearly knew what they were doing. They saved me from having to replace the tire completely, which also saved me money. I really appreciate their effort and expertise—this will definitely be my go-to shop from now on. Highly recommend!

I’ve been taking my Forester to Cooper Auto for a few years now. Their prices are fair and they do consistently great work - all with a smile and a wonderful attitude. I feel so fortunate I found them!

They totally lied to me saying that I needed my ignition assembly to be replaced, have it re-keyed and reprogrammed and that it would cost me over $1400!!! When in fact all it needed was to be cleaned out!!!! I specifically asked them to first check if it could all just be cleaned out to see if that worked before doing any further inspection. He assured me that they did try to clean it as a first step and it did not work and that my only option was to totally replace it. And they charged me over $80 to tell me this, which was a total lie! I got it cleaned out in less than 5 minutes and it works great. Thank God for You Tube and people honestly sharing things to try. In addition, I had two other highly regarded mechanics give me estimates for the same thing and both said if I had to replace the entire ingition assembly as Cooper quoted me it should not cost more than $700 at most. Most likely closer to $350. Yet when I called Cooper back to tell them that it is working fine after a cleaning and requested get a partial refund, he refused. I understand that he has to pay a mechanic to do an inspection. But obviously either the mechanic did not try to first clean it out, as I specifically requested which would have taken less than 5 minutes OR they are lying. This is just so wrong.

We had two tires blown out after getting run off the road. Coopers mounted and balanced one new tire the day before our scheduled appointment, so we could have 4 working tires and avoid a towing charge to get to their shop. They mounted and balanced the rest of the tires, plus an alignment; our car was ready in half a day.
