This is our hometown store. We have shopped here for years. This store is community oriented. Student, human and service dog friendly The associates and managers are friendly and kind Unfortunately they have closed their restrooms due to crime issues that have also affected the Boulder Public Library and other public spaces. Its a shame. Recently we won a raffle for my son, I love Dr Pepper! It was a themed Taylor Swift day when I picked up our signed helmet! GO Buffs!

This location at 13700 Colorado Boulevard, has an employee named Anne with short boyish hair, long and scrawny in size ~ she stands by the self checkout treating customers like thieves for minimal items!!! Ann likes to accuse, argue and racial profile customers because she appears to be unhappy in her own skin!!! Ann is the rudest, most unprofessional and condescending employee I have ever encountered in any grocery store!! The way she treated me on my 2nd visit to this location was not only disgusting but egregious! Anne hovered over me while I started scanning a gallon of water and then she reached over me (touching me) to get the wand to finish scanning water! I only went in to buy water for a baby that lives in the area, other than that ~ I get my stuff delivered or I go to my market place!! after I was treated so poorly, I left without purchasing anything and had to drive out of my way to go buy what was needed for the baby!! This was a waste of time, energy, gas and Ann inconvenienced the baby that was awaiting me!!! Ann told me in a rude tone and in front of other customers “YOUR’E ALWAYS HERE!!!” I guess the first time I visited there for 2 things, Ann Found issue with me for heaven knows what and she waited to see me again to Harass me!! I’ve never seen her in my life, but I remember the face Going forward!! One of these days , Ann will harass or accuse the wrong person! I did read other reviews and someone wrote that Anne does the same to her!! She also said that Management does not care!!! Again, I’ve only been there twice as I don’t live in the area!! Ann argued with me and told her coworker something rude about me!! She thinks I’m someone else and I don’t appreciate being treated like a criminal over 2 packs of $3.00 water and a gallon!! Ann apparently has an issue with those that ARE repeat customers, which makes no sense whatsoever!! She’s in the wrong profession considering she lacks customer service and basic respect for customers!! I spoke to the assistant manager and I will be making a complaint with corporate about Ann and the treatment I received at this store!! Should Ann or any other employee ever falsely accuse me or harass me again or anyone else, Kroger will face a huge law suit!! ANN REPRESENTS YOU, KROGER!!! DO BETTER!!! Staff, I know you don’t read these reviews because you can care less about how you treat customers, Which is exactly why Ann acts the way she does!!! Corporate however, does read emails and takes phone calls. I will also share the other reviews on here with corporate on email so that they know that Ann is a problem whom likes to harass and Racial profile customers!!!

Local KS not bad not amazing, they often dont have Topo Chico in stock and one of the more expensive items. Always friendly and helpful.

Not like the corporate office reads this individually, sure its just a number and an email. But in the off chance they do. Maybe they should hire more employees to work their cash registers. Only 1 open out 6? And only using one section of the self check outs instead of both? Wild behavior

I found out something very interesting today. This location does not cut any of their meat here If you go to the meat department all of the meat that is there has been pre-cut somewhere else. I have never been happy with the service or the quality of most everything. At King Soopers I would absolutely not ever buy meat here!!

Armed guards are now forcing everyone to show receipts, which is against the law in Colorado. If you have RAS, you may detain someone to conduct an investigation. Stopping someone who bought one item, through a manned check out stand, and demanding their receipt falls woefully short of the legal requirements to detain someone. I hope you enjoy the class action lawsuit, that will cost much more than the shrink in the store.

I have gone to this location for years. My joints aren't what they used to be. The store layout makes it easy for me navigate and take my time. Let me say that with the cost of food climbing, I shop around and don't stay with just one store. I'll break down my review. Deli/bakery gets 5 stars. Never had an issue with the staff and product was decent and not spoiled. Produce dept: 3.5 stars Needs work culling fruits and vegetables. Realistically, produce doesn't last forever. I have been to many grocery stores and all have this problem. I prefer to be selective for these items. If it looks iffy, I don't buy it. If I'm uncertain or indecisive about produce that day, then I don't buy it. Meat dept: 4 stars On occassion, fresh meat looks questionable. My dad was a meat cutter and butcher most of his life. I learned a lot from him and I am extremely picky. Packages looking questionable is also a problem that many grocery stores have in common. Not sure of the fix for this. Pharmacy: 5 stars. No issues with staff or pharmacy techs. Service is excellent. Checkout: 5 stars. No issue. I prefer the manned checkout lane when I have a lot of items. Self-checkout is good but technology and I often clash. This is also personal preference. Just realize that you might have wait in line for the manned checkout lane. If you have no patience, then consider Kroger Pickup and Delivery. Security: 5 stars. No issue. I agree that it is sad to see that theft of product has become so prominent requiring security receipt checks and certain items to be locked up. Security can be a good deterrent. Kroger Pickup and Delivery: 5 stars, no issue. Very polite. General shopping experience: 4 stars. Additional info: I plan plenty of time when going to the grocery store. I am a busy person but make time for this as I will go to 2-3 stores (not all King Soopers) to get my shopping done. Staple items are a once a month trip and produce and dairy are biweekly visits. I try to go when there is no rush.

Like the the store but. When you check out with a real cashier why check the receipt at the door? Let's hire more cashiers instead of Security Guards if you are worried about self check out theft.

Checking receipts when I just went thru the cashier who checked out my items! Ridiculous! The money you spent on security harassing paying shoppers should be invested in employing more cashiers and baggers. Why don’t you ensure the POS system accurately applies coupons at checkout. There are better ways to bring store prices down and this is not it. I won’t be back.

I’m not going here anymore even though it’s walking distance. Don’t have universal security guard receipt checks at grocery stores. No offense to the security guard, but shame on the management for treating customers like thieves. As bad as Walmart. Produce is garbage as well 50% of the time.

If I could give negative stars I would. Not only does the produce SUCK, ie rotten potatoes/apple/etc at this location but their security guard decided to say, "if you don't show me your receipt, you can't shop here anymore". He also got in my face and tried to block me from leaving AND followed me out the front doors. My 2 items were paid for which corporate verified when I called them because management won't answer their phone. This behavior was unacceptable. I felt completely unsafe leaving this store. The guards name is Harmon.

I would avoid this location because as of late they have an employee that wanders around the store trying to get customers to sign up for a King Soopers credit card. I told him no right away but he wouldn't leave me be and kept asking me more questions. Disrupting my shopping experience. Basically you have to be rude to get him to go away. Very awkward and uncomfortable. I will not go here again.

Tonight there were a couple of folks that were stocking and chatting. One of them noticed my "lost" look, interrupted their conversation to ask if I needed some help and then helped me find it. I wasn't even headed their way yet. Just nice to have someone notice you. And yes, I told the Service Desk.

Checking receipts now. KS seems to mistakenly think they are on par with Costco and worth that level of inconvenience. I am not waiting in yet another line for receipt check after waiting for understaffed registers (and nevermind if you already had to wait for someone to unlock the detergent). Further, with how many pricing issues Kroger has been found to have with sales prices not honored at the register, where in the hypocrisy does KS get to treat its customers like criminals?! I will take my honest paying business elsewhere.

Ordered funeral flowers on a Monday for pick up on Wednesday. It was to be a large wildflower arrangement next to an urn-the only flowers at the memorial. I was assured pick up would be available by 8:30 for our 11am service. I arrived at 9:15 and the arrangement had not been made. I waited 8 minutes for them to be made and was given a vase of sunflowers. I asked for them to add wildflowers and to take out the dead flowers and I was told that sunflowers and the one pink rose ARE wildflowers and that the dead ones were part of the arrangement. I burst into tears and walked out with the vas.

This location. Is a non union store, so forget all the labor BS. It has a small neighborhood feel, and staff is mostly friendly and helpful. The later it gets the less helpful and friendly they are. This location is also known for being out of stock on lots of items especially late Sundays.

The service is so bad. I go in and get the feeling that I work there, and am not getting paid. Very poorly staffed in every department. If we have to bag our own groceries, we should be given a discount. If I use self checkout, we should also be given a discount.

If you are from Florida you will miss Publix, but left me tell you. King Sooper is a saver! Love this place, it has everything you need plus grab a coffee while you shop.

Be aware of the expiration dates on ALL of the products in the store. Nearly every trip I make I almost or do make a purchase of something expired. The staff is really rude here too. It's unfortunate but true

Not the biggest or best King Soopers I’ve been too, but still has everything I need for my grocery list. The staff is friendly and all, but it just feels like the store could use a reboot. Also, do we really have to lock up the laundry detergent?

TERRIBLE. Went to get some shopping done this morning and needed laundry detergent. Found out everything laundry related is located behind glass, with "please call for assistance" buttons up and down the aisle. Tried to use the buttons but no one came. Tried again, no one came. Repeat the action until I'm told by a random employee that the buttons don't work and I'd need to ask for assistance at one of the self checkouts. (Only ones open.) So I go to try that and another assistant holding down the self checkouts jumps and assists everyone but me. She avoids eye contact, flat out ignores me, even helps others not in line. I wasn't rude, did not say anything to her other than: "excuse me, but-" in which she walked away in the middle of my sentence. Finally I got fed up, went back to the aisle and practically climbed the shelves to grab the detergent at the very top of the shelves. This happen around 7:30ish this morning. Check the cameras. I'm the lady with purple hair standing in the laundry aisle. You can watch the entire scene as I try to check out and the blonde assistant is fluttering about refusing to acknowledge me and the ask for assistance notification on the checkout screen.

Bad experience, the store had mislabeled their turkeys. Which usually is a simple fix. They were labeled at 99 cents a pound but they rang up at $1.99 a pound It's no big deal to have to wait for someone to verify the sign was correct. It only took 5 minutes initially. But then they told me they could not figure it out. Someone came and grabbed the turkeys and stormed off to the back without telling me what was going on or where to go. I eventually went back to the deli to find the two employees arguing over whose fault it was in front of me until one employee said you got to do it and stormed off. The deli manager call the assistant manager over. The assistant manager was polite initially. They said they would fix the issue and proceeded to head to the back of the deli for 20 minutes. No idea what they were doing for 20 minutes while a huge line of people stacked up at the deli. When the manager came out he said that the issue was fixed and followed me to the registers at the front We scanned the turkeys and they rang up at full price still. The assistant manager expressed how confused he was that it was still not working. Then he spent 5 minutes just staring at the tag... Not trying anything to actually fix it... Just staring at it. It was a stall tactic to get me to give up. And it worked, it had been 30 minutes since I originally tried to check out. The store could not fix a simple price issue that I guarantee happens on a daily basis. It's just a price over ride to honor your mistake and the listed price. The sheer waste of my time and incompetence over five separate employees could not fix the simple issue. I will go out of my way to avoid ever coming back.

Really disappointed, I've been shopping here for 20 years and this is the last straw. I will not be back. I'm so glad you decided to lock up the laundry detergent and then make it an end cap. On top of that none of the buttons work and tell you to find an associate instead. On top of it the construction workers for The new Horizon Academy are making 10 points with semi's with no one directing traffic making getting into the parking lot hell.

It’s so frustrating that I have to write this review. As a proud former King Soopers employee, it truly saddens me to say that customer service at this location has completely gone out the window. I’ve had several horrible experiences with Anne, who works at the self-checkout. She consistently racially profiles me every time I shop here. She hovers over me to ensure every single item is scanned, yet never offers any help to make the transaction smoother. It’s beyond uncomfortable and unprofessional. I’ve started going out of my way to avoid this King Soopers entirely because of her behavior. And sadly, it doesn’t seem to matter, as today the manager did absolutely nothing to address the situation. Customer service and basic respect should be a priority, but it’s clear that’s not the case here. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Wow! You don't even need much labor to run self checkout. I know you need one person to watch us but... To only have half of your self checkout on is ridiculous. If you all but force us to use self check out, at least manage it.
