I was wanting to get detailed help on how to dispose of food items. Bag or don't and place where. What kind of food can be recycle.. Also what to do with some other items. I could not find anywhere the answers. No one to talk to . Gave up and puting all trash in one can. I would like to recycle if I knew where to put it/handle it. and where does it go. Also a friend of mine was at the dump and witnessed a recycle truck dump his load into the trash pile. Why?

I called and asked about the charge for 2 green waste bins. The person said my fee can be reduced - leave the extra bin out to be collected. I put it with a note on the top, plus my regular WM green bin. You collected both. I called that I now have 0 green waste bin. The person said 1 would be given to me, free of charge, on 10/16. But I can do any green waste until after that. I'm waiting to see if all this really happens.

I have always given WM 4 or 5 stars, but now only 1 star. The reason? They allowed the waste from the fire zones to be dumped in our local landfill and this included HAZARDOUS WASTE! I am sure that they were very content making loads of money by allowing this dumping and by turning a blind eye what was being dumped in our community. And when the hazardous waste was "discovered", we don't even get so much as an apology.

I tried 3 times to get WM to pick up my damaged recycling bin. All 3 times they failed to replace it. Not happy!

Ordered a yard waste dumpster for my home. This triggered WM generating a business account without my authorization, which included different payment terms to the residential account I had. Took several attempts to remedy but the business account stays on record for 7 years. Perhaps someone get's compensated for generating new accounts!

Trying to schedule bulk pick up and have questions on items being picked up. I cannot get ahold of any human working at WM Simi Valley, it is impossible. Only automated messaging available which gets me nowhere and doesn't answer any of my questions. Very frustrating

The service is usually good. Occasionally one of the containers is missed, sometimes it is just a couple of us and the system sees the service as completed so it is difficult to get a return pickup.

Trash pickup was missed. Reported it and was told it would be picked up on the next business morning. It was not. Spoke to another representative and they said the driver canceled the request and claimed the can wasn’t there when he went to pick it up. That was a lie. I have my own surveillance in the front of my house that proves the trashcan was never moved for several days while we were waiting for it to be picked up. So they put in a new order to be picked up the day after that phone call and it still was not picked up. Then I was told they would do a double pick up on that next trash day. They would empty the can then come back that same day and empty it a second time but they would charge me seven dollars to do so. I wasn’t happy about the charge, but I agreed. Trash day came and went and they did the regular pick up, but never came the second time even though they charged me. Worst customer service ever. If there was another company available, then I would definitely switch.

All of us on Pear Ct, received an email stating that our pick up would not be disrupted because of Memorial Day and in fact the pick up was done a day later.

I have called twice, in two weeks. I need to have my black ( Garbage bin) swapped out so it rolls around good, and there is a sharp plastic fragment that was sticking out. My wife has cut her hand on it twice. I bought a file and filed down the sharp piece, and I tried to fix the wheels. It’s much better now. W.M. brought me one too many green bins, and one too many blue or (Recycled bin). Other than that I think that they do a great job. The drivers are very kind and courteous. Please swap out my bins for me. I need one black bin and need you to pick up the extra green and blue bin. I would greatly appreciate it if you can do that for us.

WM is very reliable and the service is exactly as advertised. Whe our bins crack, they are replaced within the week and we have never had a missed bin or pickup.

WM has been amazing! Their customer service is easy to reach, friendly, and always helpful. I love their text notifications regarding any delays or change updates because of the holidays. We just got a notice that they will be having their annual FREE pick-up of extra trash items, too. I can't say enough great things about this company and their wonderful service. Thank you!!!!

My previous review was five stars. The customer assistance on the phone is great. And the website is decent. Unfortunately the drivers are somewhat lazy and careless. The phrase "you had one job" comes to mind. The manufacturers of the sanitation trucks have now made it so that a single button press is needed to grab and dump the container. The problem: Driver #one comes by and mistakenly nudges the other bin. The other bin (either recycle or garbage) is then askew by 10-15 degrees. Along comes driver #two who cannot manage to get the now askew container into the "jaws." So, the driver "moves on" and leaves the FULL bin. Is it really too much to ask that, on the odd occasion a bin is nicked, the driver align the bin? Seriously. I've taken to separating all bins by at least 6 feet. Wow. Can you imagine other workers in other industries missing a simple task like this?....on an aviation assembly line, a hamburger fryer, a child's crib? "You had one job." Addition: We're moving. We ordered and paid for an additional blue bin. We were paying and paying and it was not arriving. I had to call into support. "Oh...I don't know why that wasn't delivered." The problem is...we NEEDED it and did not again want to wait for it as we are moving! And I was paying for it far a good two weeks! What a pain. Thankfully the rep authorized an additional bagged pick up from the property. So, they were responsive, but I did have the hassle. Addition: The saga continued where the wrong bins were picked up and dropped off. It took weeks to get it correct. (Recycle vs trash). Also, the bin colors are now impossible to recognize. Recycle went from Black to black with a blue lid. Trash went from blue to, I guess, black. We now need to read the text on each bin (how does a drive "eye" these from the truck?) We have a totally black recycle bin, a recycle bin that is black with a blue lid, a trash bin that is blue, and a trash bin that is black (the newest one). Whaaaat?

I'm seriously starting to have an issue with WM as they've missed my trash cans at least twice in the course of 2 months where the cans are out the night before. I have called at least twice and both times they say they will pick it up before 6 pm that day and then never do. I'm going to continue on giving a bad review until they do what our association pays them to do. Its not fair that they only miss us from the entire block.

THE WORST SERVOCE EVER They skipped my garbage pickup. When I called to complain they told me that someone would be out to pick it up the next day. Then they skipped me AGAIN. I called again and was lied to again, told they would be out the next day to pick it up, then...they did not. This went on for a WEEK with my garbage rotting in the sun, until they picked up on...the regularly scheduled day a week later.

I have been very impressed the WM has gone to great lengths to make sure the garbage cans are not broken. They have replace the split cans quickly every time I let them know there is an issure. Thanks.

My garbage hasn't been picked up in three weeks. I called them the second week and they told me I had to pay $21 to pick it up. But they never showed up. I took my kitchen garbage out on the curb the third week and they didn't pick it up today. I asked my neighbors and they said their garbage was all picked up. So disappointed.

Your company has very good and dependable pickups dates/times but as far as customer service it is without a doubt the worst I have ever experienced with any company. On trash a month ago one day one recycle bin just disappeared. I have been working for OVER A MONTH now to get it replaced. To call your office anyone RARELY answers. Your site to file a complaint is just as useless. WHERE CAN YOU DO JUST SIMPLY THAT. To talk to anyone is almost impossible. I did after calling several times for weeks, ringing for over an hour at times during office hours when finally both Eric and Robert B. did answer (who were very nice and accommodating). Eric finally got it scheduled to pick up my old cans (only 3 because 1 disappeared) but to drop off 4 like I have been paying for for years and sure enough I KNEW they would mess it up. They did, driver picked up my 3 and only left 3 NOT 4!!! Back on the phone again, this is so stressful!!! So for a month now I have had only 3 cans while I am paying for 4. I finally got to speak to Robert B. and he ordered a delivery for the extra can so let's just see if it ever arrives!!! He said the order was placed to drop of 4 so either the driver could not count or read or just did not give a damn. This sort of customer service is really unacceptable. I wonder if they will credit my account anything for not having the extra can I paid for for over a month or if they will apologize. My guess is not to hold my breath but I'd have more luck winning the lottery. IF there were another service to subscribe to I would after this experience. Not to mention MY TIME which "I" value as do others who depend on my. Needless to say after this experience I feel there is no excuse for this. As I said, to call is almost hopeless and the website is extremely difficult to use and obviously to get anyone to act on. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Sorry...not the customer service contact or access part anyway....once you contact them which is highly unlikely it is fine. Not that it will work out or that the service you request will be granted.

WM put out correspondence via an email on the Friday prior to Memorial Day, that the trash would be picked up on our regular day, which happens to be the Tuesday after Memorial Day. I also had a bulk item pick item pick up scheduled for the same day and moved it to the curb as requested. The WM mobile app also showed trash was going to be picked up on the Tuesday after Memorial day. When the trash was not picked up by 3pm, I called the Customer Service Rep, who said the email we received on the Friday prior was sent in error. No email notifying customer of the email sent in error was ever sent out.

I received a larger dumpster due to the one I ordered at no extra cost which was perfect. Customer service gave me a couple extra days before they picked up dumpster. Recommend WM to anyone who needs a dumpster.

I requested a bulk pickup of a tv and it was scheduled for 4/17. They never showed up. So I called and spoke to their customer service and they said someone would be out before the end of the day. they never came. So I called again the next morning and was told they would come out By 6 PM. They never came. I specified where the box would be in a common area where the regular trash guys usually pick up because I can’t drag it out to the street. It’s too heavy and I’m a senior. They understood this. They were very nice on the phone, but the TV is still there Yesterday. My neighbor dragged it out to the curb for me and now I have to call again this morning because online they won’t let me request the pick up because they say I’ve already requested it very disappointed.

Your trucks continue to cause traffic and dangerous conditions on the freeway. Between the 101, 23, and 118, they are consistently driving well below the speed limit. The mornings on the 23 are the worst as they often drive side by side at 50 MPH clogging up the freeway for miles. Your company needs to fix this. Edit 5/15/2023. The response from WM is not real or accurate or addressing my issue. One more reason you can tell this company is run by a-holes.
