At one time I just loved this place… I gave them 5 stars. Not anymore.
Why you ask?
Because they don’t pay $1.90 like they advertise. They pay $1.47!!!
Different folks work here now, they can not explain why it’s now $1.47 to say “it’s not 1.90 anymore”
So if you want to get screwed over…. Come visit here.
Edit: I spoke with Alex (management) he let me know it was a honest mistake by his employee who couldn’t tell the difference between Aluminum Cans and plastic containers. I only had cans.
So the root cause is the fact that they don’t post the prices, like they did before. This would clear up confusion and make the language barrier easier to overcome.
The best recycle center we have ever been to! Great service and they are the best in the area! You have to bring your bottles and cans to this location!
Did a fine job working with me and knows how to do weight and understands how count is better for certain kinds of plastics. I’d say these people seem to know how to work with someone who does it good job recycling and knows how to help a person get the most money when it comes to which one is better by weight and which one is better by count. There is so much to say good job
Great store and very fair recycle refund. The employees are always helpful. Jorge helped me unload the car and open my bags. It was very much appreciated since I am physically challenged.
Great location. It's in a strip mall, not a stand alone location, so I almost missed it. But it's well worth the visit. Great prices for the recycling and very friendly and helpful staff. Gorge helped me sort my recycling and was wonderful.
This place is great. The employee Moses was awesome, he came out and helped bring in the bags. The vibe there was fun, my daughter and I were able to dance and sing to music as we were separating our stuff. Also amazing that it’s indoors air conditioned so you’re not sitting there baking in the sun. Would definitely recommend and we are going to be going back for sure.
I'd personally give this place no stars. You go in with 5 bags you get 15 bucks. You go in with 10 bags you get 15 bucks. I could go in with 30 bags and still get 15 bucks. He doesn't display the weights like he should. I go here because it's the only recycling center near me. Future buisness owners, if your reading this, you already have a future customer.
This place is a pile of garbage. Tell handicapped to leave while non-handicapped people illegally take the handicapped spot. Employees are ignorant of laws and act like children. They have no respect for people. Never going back and telling all my friends what a pile of garbage this place is.

While in the past they’ve been amazing at customer service, today we (and I mean everyone there) had to deal with a rude kid behind the counter that was harried and told us he didn’t care someone came before me (his words) and to just hurry up and get inside to start emptying our recycling. He proceeded to throw containers and almost hit me twice. I didn’t say anything then for fear of his aggression (yes, in front of everyone). Other patrons also commented on how rude he was. Please do better. If you’re having a hard day, take a break. Employers, provide more support for your staff also.
George is an effective manager and keeps the place clean, organized, and available. Full redemption value paid. $1.90 per pound of aluminum cans, for one. Glass and Plastic Bottles accepted also. Convenient Parking.
We usually bring in about 6 huge bags and always get the same amount ( roughly between $35 - $40 ). This time the guy handed us $26. I was like is this a joke? We have never got this amount before and I feel like he didn't put all our recycling on the scale. Definitely not returning. He even gave me this creepy look. Like he knew what he did was wrong.
I visited the Los Angeles Ave location. On 11/20/21. Employee grabbed my bag and I told him to release it. He just held it until Iet go. Threw my bags violently on the floor. Very disrespectful, aggressive person. Called twice to business line and left voice-mail that I had a complaint.to discuss. Happened a week ago Saturday ... 10 days and no return call. Apparently they don't care about this kind of aggressive treatment of customers. I've experienced ear shattering music and super soaked floors st this location, but this is the last straw. Be warned.
This is an indoor place. Didn’t have to wait in the embarrassing line where everyone is looking at what I’m doing. Came on a Sunday when everyone is closed around us. Never had such amazing customer service. The guy working was happy and ready to help me out.
They accepted everything and paid me higher then most places.
I would give 0 stars if I could. As a young woman, I did not get nearly as much as I should’ve. My dad will get $120 when he brings in the same amount that I did. I only got $77. When I told Carlos this, he was very unhelpful and could only say that he did not remember how much I had brought in. The scale reading is mostly blocked from sight of the customers and they do not give receipts so that they can pocket the money they decide not to give to you. I highly recommend going elsewhere.
The place isn’t very big but the staff is very efficient.I have never had to deal with a long wait and it really seems that every body is working hard here.i think it helps to bring your materials already separated.its really nice to have a good recycling center here in Simi hope it stays open for along time unlike some of the other ones that have all closed in the city. I will surely come back
This is really the place to go in Simi! Top prices, nice indoor center, great staff. I'm not sure what anyone could complain about. I've spoken with manager as well and she is great, very helpful and took the time to explain all of the materials, prices, and rules of the store.
Been going to the recycling center off Easy Street for years until it shut down. Went here on a Saturday around 12:00 PM and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The employees were very helpful and efficient.

I've gone to 3R at least 3-4 times since the other major recycling plant closed earlier this year (2017). I've never had to wait, the young men were friendly, well informed about which items can and can't be redeemed and I feel that I'm always getting the best value for the items that I'm turning in. I highly recommend using them for your recycling needs.
everytime i have come in it has been a good experience. The last time i was in Blake helped me and i was in and out within 10 minutes. Great customer service and great prices.
