The 2 gentlemen that work at this recycling station are total angels. They treat everyone they come here with respect no matter what economic status our language they speak.
They are not only doing their job in a proficient and professional manner but as well helping the community and contributing to the environment and I thank them for that.
You can tell that they really put their heart into their job and genuinely want to help the people that they work with while enjoying themselfs. :)
This is a fine place but be aware that they don't take large scrap metal. This was the only place in the area which was not labelled "CRV only," and that's why I came here. After living in several other states where it is easy to find junkyards and recycle, I can see why California is having so many problems. I ended up throwing it all in the dumpster because I did not have time to run around. They took my cans and they also take any kind of CRV (plastic, glass, etc) here.
Make sure they're giving you the correct amount bought in over 300 cans, glass and plastic bottles, they gave me 11 dollars. Not sure where the rest of the 4+ dollars went but I just be wary of the person collecting and handing out the money.
Usually, when I talk to the guy that knows perfect English he gives me the correct amount.
Was previously - dare I say - professionally run. Show up with everything already sorted, place in containers and done. Always felt treated fairly, ethically, and honestly. Now this location seems to be run by clowns/crooks. Was stiffed as they probably didn't include a container of bottles - don't know if it was inadvertent or intentional. I don't recycle for the $$$ - I recycle to do my part. So it's especially disappointing when you're taken advantage of over, essentially, peanuts.
