I needed to have my car jumpstarted due to a dead battery. I called AAA and they sent my request to Swinks. Sam called to let me know he was on his way and arrived soon after. I shared with Sam that the AAA technician that I saw the day before stated that he could not replace my battery because my car was a Subaru and recommended that I go to the dealership to get a new battery. Sam took a look at my battery and explained that he had my exact battery with him and could replace for me, noting that the AAA tech from the day before was mistaken. Sam was able to change the battery in a short amount of time and the cost was way less than the dealership would have charged me. He also took the time to explain to me about my new battery, how long it would last, and that it had a warranty. Sam saved me a lot of time and money. He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thanks to Sam, I only missed about an hour of work.

Mercedes-Benz S class towed yesterday from my house to my local European shop and swinks did a great job very professional and the driver was exceptional
I didn’t catch the gentleman's name but he was super professional and very good at his job. Took him probably 3 minutes to change my tire. Definitely go with these guys!
We left our key inside the car and called AAA Roadside assistance. Timothy got to my location very fast, was communicative, and was very friendly! Unlocked my car in no time.
The receptionist, or person answering their phones, lacks any professionalism whatsoever. And if you think it gets any better, just wait till the driver gets there. Because there is only one tow company in this town. I had to endure this rude behavior. However, be warned, your mechanic will probably tell you the same thing. The reviews tell you everything you need to know. Get through it the best you can. I travel a lot, so if and when I break down again, i just pray that I'm not in Simi Valley.
Absolutely awful experience with Swinks Simi Valley today- the driver should NEVER interact with customers. He was incredibly rude, condescending and unprofessional-- acted like doing his job (towing our car less than 5 miles from an auto body shop to our home) was our fault and a major inconvenience to him.The car was left on a public street in front of a neighbors house instead of at our home (the location AAA was directed to tow the car to). Please avoid Swinks at all cost!!
Woke up this morning with a flat tire, called AAA and Swinks towing got there in under 30 minutes. Sam was very fast at getting me back on the road. I’ve had experience waiting a long time for AAA but Sam was amazing!! Thank you Sam!

Today, December 10th, around 2 PM, my wife, our 7-month-old daughter, and I experienced the stressful situation of our car breaking down on the freeway. With safety and urgency being our top priorities, we called Swink’s Simi Valley Towing, and their service exceeded every expectation.
Within just 10 minutes, a tow truck arrived, which was incredibly reassuring given the circumstances. The gentleman who assisted us (I apologize for forgetting his name) went above and beyond to ensure not only that our car was safely towed but also that my family was safely escorted off the freeway. This level of care and professionalism is rare, and it made a huge difference during such a stressful moment.
What stood out the most was his genuine concern for our safety, especially with our baby on board. His kindness and efficiency turned an otherwise daunting experience into one where we felt supported and secure.
I sincerely hope that whoever was on call at 2 PM today receives the recognition they deserve. Thank you so much for your incredible service—it made all the difference for my family. Great service and friendly crew. I requested a tow through the AAA app and was given a one hour ETA with Swink's. Instead, they showed up in 15 minutes. The guys were friendly and courteous. Within minutes, they scooped my car up and took it to my mechanic. It couldn't have been easier.
Swinks Towing in Simi Valley has been around for a long time and is one of the most professional tow companies in the area. Great service, super reliable. They are a top notch company with a friendly attitude. They know how to get the work that is requested from them done correctly. I highly recommend.
Samuel and Chris came out to service my battery. I appreciated how helpful and kind they were. Samuel was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him!
This place is a joke. The mechanic showed up and installed my battery incorrectly. I spoke with the manager, who was also very rude, and they stood by the mechanics work, even though he did not do it correctly. He failed to reconnect all the terminals to the battery, leaving one of the terminals that control the engine fan. When the fan did not turn on, the car became over heated. Dylan was not capable of changing the battery and left after throwing a hissy fit and left the car with more issues than originally had. I would hate for them to touch any car with any worse issue as they are not even competent on a batter change. Stay away from this place by all means.
My experience with the tow started off questionable. Their mechanic came out and it started off good but after their service my tire was popped during transportation. I called AAA and after waiting a while they told me I have to contact the tow company, so I give them a call they say they’re gonna get back to me after the weekend but they never did. I call them a few more times and both times speaking to a manager that tells me they’re gonna come out. They never did and I still haven’t heard back. This review should be one star.
Best towing company in the tri county area. Had AAA send two other tow services out to 118 frwy, after 3 hours of getting jerked around I finally called Swinks directly and they were there in 25 minutes. Last of the real men. Great job, great service .
Through AAA these hard-working heroes were super fast and efficient! From the time I contacted AAA they had communicated with me and fixed my problem within 15 minutes and I was back on the road! Keep up the great work especially Dylan!

The receptionist is very unaware of the law. I had a vehicle abandoned ON my actual driveway and I called to have it removed and she told me it’s considered grand theft auto. If that were the case than that means anyone can park anywhere without a tow. This is private property. I called another well reviewed tow company, they called the police for me, got a pink slip and they took the car off MY property. If you can by pass the reception, do it, otherwise just avoid this company.
Maybe just an unlucky day but around 1pm I requested service for assistance replacing a flat with my spare tire, was given a 45-minute eta, after 45 minutes was told another hour… I finally canceled and slowly made my way to the nearest tire shop. I was told approximately 2+hrs is the normal wait these days… I’ll be learning how to change my own tire.
This establishment is hard to find, has inconvenient rules about when you can get your car, and is inconvenient to get into. The employees were rude and even threatened me when I asked why they weren't open. It seemed he was trying to seem "tough". He wasn't, and I definitely would rather use Roy's Towing service in Thousand Oaks. Overall, horrible experience. Employees need to go to a Personality Workshop, and learn how to deal with the Public better. Ugh! Smh.
Bad service and rude staff, don’t recommend this towing company.
They picked up and sold my vehicle to a junkyard with no paperwork or dmv release of liability after I pay them tow and storage fees and know I have bunch of tickets and back fees at DMV. All they said is my problem, to contact the dmv directly.
All I needed from them is a latter with date the car was picked up by them and send to the junkyard.
That will release my responsibility of the vehicle.
Brandy was extremely pleasant and helpful, we do not have AAA and they squeezed us in and Dan was also very pleasant and helpful when arriving to pick up the car. Would recommend Swinks to anyone.
They lost my truck by dropping it off at the wrong shop. The person I spoke with was angry and said well if one more day of rental car is gonna kill you then send me the invoice. I will request a different company from AAA in the future.
I can’t thank my Swinks’ technician enough for coming to my aid today. He arrived and pulled my stuck car out of traffic in less than 5 minutes from when I requested help. I was so impressed with his commitment to helping us quickly and safely.
Called AAA and they sent this company. Guy sent said he couldn’t tow my truck, said I needed a semi tow truck. My truck is a basic 1997 ford f-250 with 1 1/2 cabin. Have always been towed by aaa when needed. Either this guy didn’t want to work or something changed within the company because I never had this problem before. Do not recommend
Great service and for a great price!
I called Swinks initially because they were the closest towing company near where my car broke down. I was a little hesitant because of the bad reviews but I decided to call them anyways and I’m glad I did. They answered within seconds, arrived in 10 minutes and dropped the car off at the mechanics in 5 minutes. The tow driver was polite and friendly, he showed up with a smile and answered every question I had. Overall I am glad that I chose Swinks and based on this experience I would recommend them to anyone needing a tow in Simi Valley.
I've had a lot of cars & trucks impounded here within the past year, and obviously those experiences are not very pleasant and extremely frustrating at times. I wanted to thank the staff here at Swinks Towing for being so patient, kind, understanding, and willing to go out of their way to help me when they had no obligation to. I don't understand why other people in these reviews expect sympathy from tow companies that do business like this when they are just doing their job and following policies and procedures. I've showed up to pick up a car here plenty of times and occasionally in a bad mood, but I still understand that this is business and they owe me no sympathy or validation for my choices & consequences. Customer service is always top priority for me both as an employee at my job, and a customer myself. Keep it up guys, you are very appreciated!
