Came to donate car. Was told over the phone that they accept BAR retirement program and that if I can show up on Saturday without appointment and said I just need to show up. Showed up on Saturday at 11:50am and was told they were closed. Google says they close at 2pm. The lady says they close at 12pm. I told them it’s not 12pm yet. She told me that it takes an hour to do the process. I had driven an hour for this.
They will get you on the prices. I had 800 pounds of copper and they wouldn’t help me unload it but said he would give me .20 more if I left it then only gave me .05. Then only offered 2.80 for 200 pounds. If you are a dealer watch them
My advice for a stress free visit: 1) Separate your recyclables BEFORE you get there. 2) Be mindful of opening hours and closing times. They don't operate on Sundays. 3) Come early. There isn't that much parking space availability. 4) Memorize or write down your license plate number. They will ask for that when you're at the front of the line. 5) Be patient. They go as fast as they can but they're still only just people trying to follow the laws of operating a business.
I have good experience here when we recycled our cans. It is a bit of a wait but that is because it's a popular place. The employees are going as fast as possible and were very friendly to us and helpful. Have nothing negative to say about SA Recycling.
I come here with my son, who I am teaching to earn money by collecting cans and bottles. The place isn’t much to look at, but the people there have always been really nice to us, and I think the rates are the same as anywhere else. Not sure about that. I lost my phone there once and they put it away for me so it wouldn’t get stolen.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would they act like your recycling gold and ask for ALL of your personal information even after you set up an account with them! And still make you take a picture on there security cameras for what they already took a picture of my iD.. and then give you pennies on the dollar for your materials still don't know why I keep coming to this place bad experience 1 after another
