Called to get a quote and made an appointment over the phone. I provided make/model/trim. Quoted $125. When I get to the shop, The price becomes $150. The service writer acts as if the price change is not a big deal. (This place actually changed a headlamp for free for me once - So I called it even). A couple of hours later I get a call and the price goes to $225 because he didn't write the service correctly. He admitted his mistake but no apologies / No care. I picked up my truck without service. Don't know his name but the service writer needs training. This was on Monday 7/28/25. I gave 2 stars because like I said - They changed a headlamp for me years ago.
PJ”s is my family’s new go to spot for auto repairs ! They helped fix damages that were done to my grandmother’s car by another auto shop in Yuba City. They are knowledgeable and absolutely helpful.

They helped me when others wouldn’t! I had a tire blow out a few feet away from American Tires and had no spare tire, American Tires were not willing to help but I’m so grateful for the guys at PJ’s who don’t work on tires but they jacked my car up and took my shredded tire to be replaced. It’s kind people who make the community better and I would trust them with future car needs.
Absolutely horrible. Will never return. Charged for new parts. They put in refurbished parts. Which led to a fire and melted the ac unit. They stole items from my husband's truck. Their card reader is a skimmer. They compromised my account. They overcharge for parts they don't use. Absolutely poor service
P&J's gave me excellent service on a 16-year-old, hard to fix SUV.
The employees were congenial, the price was very reasonable,
and the work was done promptly. Nice people.
We went there ASKING for a $1000+ repair, based on what the dealer recommended. PJ's could have done it and made money off of us, but instead they told us we didn't need it! I wound up taking both of our cars in, and both were finished quickly, and for less money than anticipated. I will definitely be back.
Was sent here by America's tires, but ended up needing more work done. They were very helpful and quick. Took a lot of stress off of me. And prices were very reasonable.
This has always been my grandpas mechanic and now I see why, very reasonable affordable prices, very honest and no dragging you on, turnaround time was incredible! Highly recommend and are definitely my go to for all my on road vehicles!
PJ’s did an outstanding job with my son’s truck. The owner himself even went on a test drive with my son and I after diagnosing and making repairs to ensure my son was happy with the way the truck drove and sounded. PJ’s has earned two lifetime customers as a result of the outstanding service both mechanically and personally they exhibited. I highly recommend PJ’s.
Great service economical prices. Did the job right got my AC fixed and found and fixed the leak in a few hours. Will be back have been looking for a trustworthy mechanic hoping this will be the place. So far so good.
Absolutely HORRIBLE! I took my car in because my coolant reservoir was not holding liquid and my air conditioning was going in and out. They argue with me that it's my radiator and charge me $1200. I have to take it back because neither problem was fixed. They charge me this time for a heater coil to fix the air conditioning that it's the car overheating causing the problem. I take the car out of town and it it steaming and the engine is burning up. The THIRD time they finally acknowledge the huge crack in the coolant reservoir and FINALLY replace it. The air conditioning is never fixed. I spend $1700 when all I needed was a $50 coolant reservoir and the air conditioning still doesn't work. Awful service and HUGE rip off. Go ANYWHERE ELSE!
Had my porsche cayenne gts a/c serviced. They help me finish a repair I started myself to save money. Could not finish the last stripped bolt and I had the wrong o-ring size which I suspected. They didn't try to convince me to do any extra services or discourage me for not finishing the job. They adviced me to the last step where I had an issue. Gave me a fair price to finish the job. Very happy with the service and professionalism I was provived. Great group of guys. I will be referring my friends and family there.
My car didn't want to start a couple days ago so I took it to Pj's. Turned out I needed a new battery! The owner was very quick on fixing it and even told me what else was wrong with my car and how severe/urgent each problem was. My car is pretty old and if it's not one thing, it's the other so I'm very glad Pj's is around to help! If you can, utilize their free brake inspection!! Brakes are extremely vital and I plan to get them fixed next! Thank you Pj's for keeping me and my family safe!! Also the emphasis on how important integrity is at the shop does not go unnoticed! Really great new ownership!
I have been here a few times in the past 15 years for smogs and repairs.
It's great to deal with people who know how to take care of there customers. Willing to make it happen. I am a business owner also. I watched how they handled other customers while I waited for my truck to be finished. They were very informative and sincere about the way they talked to customers . The way I do business. They also got me in last minute for a smog last minute with 30 mins notice.
PJ's is one of the only places in the Yuba-Sutter area that does headlight & brake certification. They always do a great job in a timely manor and at a reasonable price. They are very busy, so an appointed is advised. I highly recommend them! =)
Very cost efficient business. Staff are very nice and in my experiences never tried to pry more money than what is actually needed for the repair+labor. Highly recommend this place if you want good honest work
PJs is amazing. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. They found the parts needed for our vehicle at a great price and were able to get it fixed/ repaired in under 3 hours. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate us. They even have the baddest Fish in their aquarium named Crash. It's an oscar fish with a crazy attitude and it's super cool. They won't sell it to me unfortunately but I understand lol. Thank you PJs, we will definitely be calling you guys again!!
Great place to get your car repaired. I feel they're being honest and fair when telling me what repairs are needed, or in some cases, not needed. I appreciated this and will return next time I need anything done.
Not really a fan of the employees there. I wanted to make an appointment to get my lights and brakes inspected for my salvaged titled vehicle. BEFORE making the appointment I was told that they charged $120.00 pass or fail for the inspections AND NO ONE EVER PASSED THE FIRST TIME. I explained that after the vehicle accident I was in, I replaced everything that was damaged within the last month. The employee told me it wasn't going to pass anyway, so I could count on spending $240.00. I went to another shop. Guess what..... it passed the first time.
Fast and helpful service, called them up and asked them to look at my minivan. They said bring it in at noon. Only a few hours later they called me up and let me know what was wrong. The van was not worth repairing but I had already suspected as much. Staff was friendly and efficient, I will definitely be bringing my next vehicle here.
Quality work, excellent, knowledgeable staff. Qualified mechanics work here. Honest and reasonable. I've been taking my Dodge diesel trucks and my wife's car here for a few years now and they always come through for us.
Nick helped me get my 71 Chevy pickup running after sitting for 13 years. It runs great with 98,000 original miles. He also did a brake job on it and I couldn't be happier... He was very fair on the cost to get it running again...
I've used them for years, many years. I trust them and they are always on time and price. The last car they serviced was my mom's. She got a quote from them and I told her to get it fixed. She asked me if she needed more quotes and I told her no. She did anyway. She gave them to me and I told her "you can get all the quotes you want and when you are done you are taking it to PJ's anyway." Because I trust them.

I brought my vehicle in for an electrical repair and despite the fact that I did not have an appointment, they fit me in and were able to achieve repairs in a reasonable amount of time.
