  I've been in Modesto for 26 years. I've driven past Modesto Junk hundreds of times but today was the first time I went in there, and what a great experience. I had a 60 inch flat screen. Tv, very heavy, I needed to get rid of and the process was so easy plus they paid me for the tv. If you're you're tired of waiting for a e-waste event to pop-up, just take your unwanted electronics to Modesto Junk company and just about anything else you don't need anymore.

  Not worth a common mans time. I took a bus with my PC tower and monitor. I waited my turn. Then was refused service for "NO PRIVATE VEHICLE" go green with us they say.. nothing on the website states ONLY WITH LICENSE PLATE. let me know you see this folks.

  I absolutely love Modesto Junk Co.! They are conveniently located on 9th St between major intersections L and O, which is perfect for me. Every time I come there, whether I have 1 bag or 10 bags of recycles, they always help me out. The workers are friendly, and when parking is a hassle, they guide you so you can get parked in a timely manner. They pay fairly, and are my go-to for recycling!

  Great price for cans and great service. One time a guy stole a bag of cans from my bin while i was turned around. An attendant promptly informed me and said they would review the camera recording. They called me that afternoon and told me the video did show the theft, and they sent me a check in the mail to cover it! Thanks Modesto Junk!

  I love coming here when I'm strapped for cash because you know ya girl be broke sometimes! lol. But all the staff are always incredibly fast, friendly, and polite. They make sure I'm in and out fast! I especially appreciate Robert's customer service skills, he's a total sweetheart! It's always a kiki when me and him talk at the window, I love it! Haha.   The best return for your recyclables. The staff is fast, you’re in and out ASAP. If you’re new at recycling, ask a staff member for guidance, they will help you. I’ve heard people say the staff is rude, they’re focused and will respond as politely as you address them...I’ve witnessed lots of folks talking down to the staff plenty of times, these guys work hard so please treat them with respect...they will treat you with respect as well.

  I was in and out fast today looked like they hired more people to help the people who come in with all there recyclable mixed together. "People" you need to sort your cans and plastic before you get to modesto junk. Trust me I never sorted my stuff before. I do now and I'm in and out fast. And if it wasn't for "NiKi" at modesto junk I wouldn't have even thought about leaving a review thanks again NiKi for giving me the flyer about leaving a review on yelp or Google reviews.

  I have been here several times. I like the convenience of driving up to the big blue barrels and pouring the cans and plastic. You can do glass as well. The first time I saw the conveyor belt was confusing especially when the guy took the barrel, I thought to myself: I didn't weigh the cans. I noticed that is their scale. After that it is business as usual. The staff is friendly. They do have an interesting statue of a metal man. I will be going back to recycle again with them.

  We've been bringing our CRV recycling here since we moved here 7 years ago. I'd rather have full service curb side recycling like in Atlanta. This place is busy, but they are always helpful and efficient.

  I take a garbage bag of 2 lieter bottles here once a month and always get more than what I expected for them. I am in a wheelchair, have an ostomy and am in constant pain, and the staff at Modesto Junk ALWAYS go out of their way to help me quickly and I am out of there in very decent time. I have been to one other recycling place here in Modesto a couple of years ago, and it was nasty, understaffed, and next to impossible to get the staff to even look at you much less help you. I am a 100% loyal Modesto Junk recycler now. Thanks for making it easy for handicap people, you are 1 of the very few business es in Modesto that actually go out of their way to help disabled people. I wish I had alot more hands so I could give you guys more than just 2 thumbs up...LoL

  Went on a Friday and was very busy, staff was very friendly and helpful. Brought a truck load of cardboard and received $7.80 not sure that is very feasible but we just wanted a way to get rid of so much cardboard. I had read reviews of this place and I was glad my experience was a good one.
