Disorganized and mismanaged. We were clearly wrongly charged/confused with another scale after reviewing our receipt when we got home. The phone number on our receipt is for another customer Have attempted to reach by phone x 3 with no response.
Great for household hazardous waste. Such as old paint, tube lights, oil filters, brake fluid, coolant, etc. (That is just what I dropped today) Only four stars because household hazardous waste is only open limited hours 3 days a week. Also of note: Sorted bulk recyclables like cardboard, glass, aluminum, etc. can be dropped off for free.
The ReUse Center here is one of the worst places I've visited. The woman in charge is loud, rude, and hoards all the yard and garden decor for her own "garden" at the site. What a mess. When I dared to even ask about some of the garden stuff she was so insulting to me that I felt the need to leave.The few things I've overheard her price seemed very overpriced. This place could be so much more with a different manager.
I just moved to Petaluma, I didn't know when to pick up the garbage date. I bring it there. So, the People are nice it very helped me. Minimum pay of $40.
This facility is run pretty efficiently. There can be long lines (10 rigs) on Monday morning and Friday afternoon, but it takes only 4 minutes per rig and there are 5 bays running. The rates are too high for a carload ($40), but you have no choice.
Smells & looks like trash, so it must be, a dump! The pricing, is better than my competitions! One man's trash is another man's treasure so don't forget to check out the resale store! I give this facility five stars.
Great community area refuse and recycling center. Includes a Recycle Town Thrift Store! Great items. Great prices. Electronics, housewares, clothing, dvd's, cd's pet supplies, garden, furniture and much more. Recycle center to household toxins paint, construction chemicals, pesticides, and more. Reusable paints available at no cost.
Thus is about the most disorganized transfer place I've been to. Pay before you dump? Why? Give people a card that identifies thwm instead of, "were you the fuy on #1 when you came in?" My scale at entry was not recorded so she made up a number which was clearly about 200# over what I brought in. Have trucks and trailers drive on debris to get back to the pile? I'm a small remodeler and occasionally have to bring some debris that can't be reused or recycled to dispose of. Last time I was there I was told the list of things they don't accept which seemed longer than the list of things they do. Many of the items (I think yard waste was one), I could dispose of by going to another transfer site 1/2hr away... huh? Another one was they would take painted but not painted wood (or vice versa, I can't find a printed list of their exceptions, etc. on their website or online). It's a mixed load, less than 1CY, it seems unreasonable to ask that I sort this and drop off at various places around the county. I understand and appreciate reducing waste/ increasing recycling, but this is seriously getting out of hand... :(

10/10/2022 Been trying to call the office today to ask clarification on disposal of old cab over that came with a truck my son bought but isn't wanted and cannot reach a person even calling at various times. After 5 minutes of phone treeing I left a message but haven't heard back. Bummer...
No one, knows how confusing this place is untill you get there. They don't know where to send you to unload certain things, like TV'S ect. They just grab things and then charge you when they are free too dump. They play they don't understand english, when they do. They are charging for things that are supposed to be free. This place is so confusing, glad I don't have to there often.
They do not take lumber or provide weight tickets. Which i guess isnt fair to hold a buisness to a service they don’t provide however…………its the only landfill ive ever been to that dosent. If these aren’t services you expect then I’d give them a three stars. One of the customer service persons was good the other not so much.
The first time I ate here I was really disappointed. First, there are no waiters, I waited for about 45 minutes, huge trucks rumbling past, no one stopped at any time to take my order. I realized that it was a buffet style restaurant. The food was terrible. It was served spread on the ground, with no napkins, plates, or even table. Most of the food tasted like it was spoiled, extremely so. There was no dessert option although it was easy to find a to-go box for the left overs. Unfortunately I was sick for a week after I ate here, I'm sure it is because of the expired food I was served. A total dump.
Great place to buy used things. But bad thing they dont take treated wood. But all in all i would much rather go here than the other two in my location.
Seems like every time I go here, the place is not accepting something. First yard waste, then no PT lumber, no more plastic recycling. What's next? No longer accepting household garbage?
This is one efficient operation. Even with the long dump lines last Saturday, the staff ensured they moved quickly. Also the two guys working the hazardous waste location last Saturday were excellent - well prepared, friendly, and very helpful.
This is a well managed facility, and it is a credit to Sonoma County!
Even though one waits in line for a while the dumping part goes pretty fast! Miss the old days though when Seagulls would bombard unsuspecting Dump Recipients! Go Jonathan Go!!
Can't say I've ever had any issues or complaints with the staff or the way things operate. Pretty much takes care of everything (no yard waste dumping) and plenty of recycling dumpsters before the booth.
I went to the disposal site at 2:34 (lit.) and was told that the household waste dept closed at 2:30. Nowhere on the website does it say 2:30. When I told the House Waste supervisor as much and that I just drove 25 minutes he bluntly said "we're closed". Pretty harsh.
Very inefficient processing, it took over 35 minutes to process through the lines yesterday morning at 10:30 a.m. There were two lines of vehicles waiting to check-in to dump and two lines of vehicles waiting leave and weigh out... and only one person working the booth for all four lines. This is not uncommon. I encountered the same problem a few weeks ago and sympathetically told the older woman working the booth alone she could use some help. Rather than agree she was overwhelmed (and customers were waiting a long time) she scoffed with a contemptuous look and shrugged her shoulders saying; “oh well, that’s the way it is”. Obviously she didn’t care about the customers inconvenience, I wonder if the company has the same attitude?
What are people complaining about? Staff is friendly, take cash or card. You can dump your recyclables while you’re in line before you get to the weigh station. They’re open at the posted hours. What else do you want?
Happier Than Most Reviewers. Hours are posted above, despite previous review. Staff working at the weigh station very personable. They take cash AND Credit cards. I specifically asked AND I saw several cards lined up on their desk while the owners dumped their stuff. If you are unaware of how it works, you weigh your vehicle before and after and then you pay. So they hold your credit card or $20 in cash. In my case, I was below the minimum at 160 pounds. Charge was $15 (which is the minimum). Here's the thing. I had received two estimates for a dump run that were $140. Since I had a truck, I did it myself and saved $125. It was painless. There can be a line at the scales so sometimes it can take longer. According to my receipt, they charge 118.50 per ton. At that rate, I would have been charged $9.48 so I was charged the minimum. Reviewed after dumping July 3, 2018
No Checks, This dump has taken checks for as long as I can remember. Had to send employees all the way back to the shop to pick up cash. Total bull#@it. Another service, farmed out to a corporation
Website zero stars...wrong hours and days of the week posted. They operate the same hours as Sonoma County. Monday through Saturday. Check Sonoma County listing. Call first.
As dumps go, this one is well organized and the stall is helpful and friendly. The place has a place for recyclables and is ecologically friendly. I always get a better price by having my pickup weighed. My dog loves going there with me
