I came here looking to scrap bare copper, the gentleman offered me $1.25 a pound. Internet states $3.50 a pound, I questioned him on that and his response was, I’m only going to give you $1.25 lb and I don’t care what the internet says.
I didn’t use his services, I proceeded to check with Aaron recycling in Oakland and they offered me $3.50 lb.

There must be some disconnect between what they are selling and what they think they are selling and their prices reflect that. They should replace the word "junk" in their name with something more appropriate like maybe platinum. They would rather something in their yard rust away to nothing, then come down on their price. If you dare to try and negotiate on a price, they look at you like you said the most stupid thing ever. Don't waste your time looking here, unless of course, you like abuse.
I go there as a buyer. I give it four stars just for the great and odd stuff and great (and a bit odd) folks who work there.
I have rarely felt I got a deal, however. Pricing is surprisingly high. They might have 400 of something, but pricing reflects no great desire to sell any.
But, love the place. If not for pricing, six stars.
this place is crazy they try to low ball you and if you are not interested in there services they will get in your face with intimidation tactics not cool!!!
