All the employees joke and laugh a lot, you can be in a foul mood when you came, but leave happier! I do 75% of all my recycling at this spot!
Quick and easy, just had to separate glass, aluminum and plastic in 3 bins. Received a voucher and got cash inside the gas station. There was no line when they opened at 0900.
The customer has to check the weight on the scale and then calculate it, but the man calculating the weight is suspicious because he calculates the weight without checking with the customer. Or they have to change the scale with automatic calculator. I went there today with 4 cans of PET Plastic, cans etc.
Hassle free experience. Just sort your recycling into types in the provided bins, bring them over to the scale down the side of the building, they'll weigh them, ask for a signature, then you bring the receipt into the gas station for the cash.
The workers are helpful, but only speak Spanish (the most proficient English speaker is working the scale, thankfully. Nothing wrong with that, just that I don't speak Spanish very well ). Honestly took less than 5 minutes.
If you watch how the older guys his weights calls out the weight minus 1.or or more. I had 4 cans and not till I went to cash in did I notice he only paid for 3 cans of course the one he didn't count had all the cans and was about 20 dollars in cans ,I was pissed ,I reported and we have to wait and see?I'm going again today just to see if I get rippyoff again then if yes It's will be on and cracked brother
I asked if they take cardboard, they don't and said try the Davis st. Recycling spot behind Right Way Garage Doors, free there. Just need to go there for cardboard recycling Tuesday-Saturday 9 to 3pm.
I save up my plastic soda bottles and take them here , bins are provided to put your recycling in so they can weigh and pay you the correct amount by weight.
Is this the only Recycling Place in Vacaville? I see the crook at 120 S. Orchard is permanently closed and good riddance he was a crooked joke and should never have been in the business. Leman Wilson
Would not take bottles even after I had removed the label and showed them they're recyclable. No one inside to get payment from, after 5min someone shows up and pays me. After payment, the person would not let me take a look at the recycling receipt I had just handed him. Will not be going back.
I like this place. They are very fast & I find them very pleasant, never had an issue with any of them. Only problem I have is the parking but hey, I can always come back the next day. Thanks guys!
Small lot, rude service with communication issues, and a scale that doesn't work properly. If you don't pay attention to your wieghts you could easily get ripped off..
Ps I was kicked out because I wasn't one of the supervisors friends. And I posted this same review 3 years ago just took it down.. pay attention to your business and you would see this is a fair assessment of what goes on at your place daily, the scale is off and if you don't pay attn to your weights you can get ripped off.. no lies and I'm not the only customer who believes this is true
Great place to turn in recycling. We've never had a problem from the employees and they're fast and efficient. Once you get your cans and bottles weighed they give you a slip and you cash in at the gas station the lot is on.
It's nice not having to go out into the middle of nowhere but the location is not ideal due to the lot being shared with a convenience store and a gas station. Parking is very limited and can get crowded really fast when you consider that everyone is transferring their recyclables from bags into their bins for weighing. It is nice not having to go to another location, however to redeem the voucher for the recyclables.
It was really messy today, part of a bag they were only peaceful loading came open and plastic bottles were everywhere. I'm really good about sorting my stuff and had to argue with the guy about some of my plastic. If it says CA, then it's recyclable!
Will be returning here! Staff was very helpful. There is accountability, cameras, calculations and receipts! I felt very ripped off today at a different nearby recycler it was a completely different experience doing business at this establishment. Thank you Vaca Recycling for doing a great job today and for working with me in gaining my confidence after a lousy experience elsewhere. I'll definitely be back!!
By far the best recycling center around, with kind staff that provide excellent service. Thank you for all your essential work to keep recycling out of landfills!
Items that are supposed to be credited by the each are instead weighed by the pound. I counted my plastic beforehand, and was shorted over $5. What a ripoff.
Also, parking is terrible. We will not be returning.
Best of the best , I tried the other one next to winco and they are very strick if any of you plastic bottles are missing the label they will not take it just a heads up for those of you wanting to try them out.
All of the employees are helpful, kind, friendly. Great personalities and customer service! Makes the chore of turning in recycling an efficient and pleasureable experience. I won't go anywhere else.
In and out in 5 mins. They give you a receipt to take into the store since they don't have a cash register outside. This did not slow down the process. Less busy than most recycle places but smaller parking lot. Prices are decent.
