Drove from Fairfield to drop off a mattress only to be told they don't accept mattresses from Fairfield. The website says county residents and last time I checked we're in the same county.

After wasting my time trying to pay my bill online, I went into the office to pay it. When the customer service rep gave me the total of my bill I had to do a double take. She said my bill included a $106 collections fee. I asked her when was my bill sent to collections. She said last July. So my next question was, why have I been receiving bills for the past year that in no way included this collection fee?? She said she didn't know. I told her that I rent so a collection notice would have gone to my landlord, and she would definitely have let me know about it. Again the reply was I don't know but it's here in the computer. I went ahead and paid the fee but I am definitely not happy. Why would this company send out bills for almost a year with just the quarterly amount due if I had a past due balance from July 2024?? I will make sure from now on to check my bills and save my receipts, because this is the last phantom fee I will be paying.

I can’t believe I was on hold for hours today trying to find out why my recycling bin haven’t been picked up for 4 weeks something about they new system now my bill is past due this is some bull crap I been on auto pay for 6yrs and now my bill is 3 months past due with no notice nothing not even a bill in the mail this is unacceptable how this company is handling business wow

They keep skipping our recycling pick up due to billing issue on their end . They are a terrible company. You’re stuck going through them. I sat on the phone for over two hours. You can’t change companies they are a nightmare to deal with

After waiting on hold for an hour and a half they let me know my trash wasn't picked up because of a billing issue on their end. I then asked if they would come empty the bin today since it wasn't my fault and they said the only way they can do that is if they charge me for it. Employee owned and operated and terrible service seems like a bad business plan to me. But I guess they've got us since there's really no other option.

They push self service options, refuse to pick up the phone, don’t send mail or email, and sometimes they just won’t take your trash.

Would share more but the website that they kept pushing was no help. And I tried talking to an actual person and waited on the line for over 45 minutes. Ridiculous.

Several times through out the year they do not pick up recycle/trash/green waste. Especially after holidays. They do not pick up their phone either . Also email response is like a week out. Thanks recology!

Terrible service Recology needs to go they suck. Skipped my cans several times. I pay my bills on time but didn’t get my money’s worth.

About 3-4 months ago I got $85 for my aluminum cans and plastic water bottles. The other day I went there and only got $60 for A LOT MORE recyclables than I brought months ago! What gives?! The staff is very friendly and helpful, so I’m not complaining about that at all. Just that I was expecting $95 this time and wound-up getting a lot less! I read a review where one patron believes he was scammed! Hum?! Next time I will weigh the bags myself and then see what they give me credit for! I hope it was just a simple math mistake! But this really takes away my desire to continue recycling! All that work on my part for getting paid peanuts later! Anyone know of the “best place” to go in Solano County?!

Seems loke their methodes is evoolvin over time so if you havent been i a while ask about where and how to line up. I do prefer going there over the other places a lot less hassle.

I literally watched the driver skip my grey container and drive over to my neighbors for pick up. Completely missing mine. I was in my driveway and watched this happen. I called recology right away to explain the situation and was told that she will contact the driver to turn back around to pick up my garbage. This was matter of maybe 2-3 minutes. I get a call back saying the driver mentioned that we didn’t take our cans out in time. We always take our cans out Thursday night. I also had to remind the woman I spoke to that my green and blue cans were picked and how is that possible if we put all 3 cans out together. Other cans were picked up and only the grey can remained. I’m still waiting now told that I have to pay for extra and wait until Monday. This is very unprofessional, rude and insensitive.

Horrible, my cans were to full to pickup. I've called the last 2 days and get nothing but the run around. Rude, lazy and incompetent are the words I'd use to describe recology. They are trash, just like what they deal in.

This company really can not perform thier duties. You're on hold for over 30 minutes and then they hang up on you. They say they are coming but don't show. Very disappointing to have to deal with them

This place is a scam you won't be getting payed for all your recyclables. (and yes to those who think I am not knowing the difference stuff it I've been doing this awhile I check all my items first and well know what's payable recyclables and what's not ) . You will not receive payment for any can which you can't see the top portion (give me a brake)ie: crushed folding into itself they won't check if your curious, also no cans or bottles that have been run over not sure why. You will also get nothing for plastic bottles without labels no matter what regardless of them clearly being exactly the same as the 100's of 1's sitting directly next to it. Ones I might add these "workers" knock off from time to time(the labels) will not be payed for. Nothing that's scuffed or deemed dirty (it don't take much either just saying) . Now I'm not saying they won't take them they will but forget getting payed for any of the before mentioned cause it ain't happening. (And boy howdy do they get mad when you tell them you'll go elsewhere! You see they believe they're the only ones who should be receiving any recyclables and that you shouldn't have options but you do "Monopolies are wrong people and companies and organizations trying to input them should be stood up against this is them taking what you have in some cases worked hard to accumulate and not paying you for your deserved pay all while turning around with same and getting payed for all that they would not pay you for. You may think I'm ranting maybe I am yet still what I'm saying is true . YOU'VE BEEN WARNED I SUGGEST GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT TO RECOLOGY. They maybe working with garbage doesn't mean they need to be garbage.

The place is always so clean. The employees are always friendly and helpful. Please take a few dollars to tip them since they give you a check now instead of cash.

Quick service, operation was well organized today. Lots of people coming and going and no one seemed to be there for very long. I like that they return the deposit you pay on motor oil, 10 cents per quart. It adds up if you have several vehicles and do your own oil.

I have called customer service over the last several weeks and was on hold for at least 20 minutes. I also left a call back message. My call is never answered. Just needed to schedule a bulky item pick up on my recycling day as there news letter said it is in operation. I'm so frustrated. Giving up again for now!!!

First I Googled this place. It said it was open weekdays 9 to 5. That was wrong . It's Tues thru Saturday, unless you want to dispose of electronics or haz-mat stuff. That's ONLY Saturday. Two wasted trips so far.

Very disappointed. I normally do not say anything. If I am not happy I take my money elsewhere. However, you cannot do that in this case. You are paying for basically a required service. The key word there is "service". As of late the service has gotten sketchy at best. 2 out of the last 3 weeks the individual picking up the yard waste has left an utter mess. Today the mess trailed out to the main cross street. Now who is going to clean this up? He should. I would have called and complained and I still might but, they are only open until 3. Nice hours! I wish I worked from 9-3. Hey! Are you hiring? I can leave a mess in front of someones house as well as the next guy.

It was my 1st visit. Some things you might want to know if it's going be your 1st time going. They pay you only in check form so you are required to bring an ID. They will not pay you for recyclables that do not have the labels showing the Ca CRV.

Absolutely horrible customer service and they're lazy. They've broken several of my trash cans and left trash out in the street of several people in my neighborhood. When called, they claimed they'd fix it but never did.

Wasted my time trying to recycle matress here on Tuesday. They only take them on Saturday. Took mine straight to the dump after that. Too bad recycling isn't easy. I don't blame anyone for putting their's on the roadside.

I've always had a great experience and it would have rated it very highly in the past. It's the cleanest and has a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, policies have recently changed causing an extremely long and perhaps unnecessary delay. It's just only going to make customers angry and pursue another avenues for refunds. Many customers were becoming upset. I'm not going to lie, I almost gave up and left. Actually, one customer said he did leave earlier because the line was out the parking lot. This was his second try for the day. Please do not take it on the guys. They are are doing their very best and are always so friendly, that's why I had to give 3 stars. It's apparent they take their job very seriously and it provides them pride and dignity. Every item is now manually checked by the worker on duty. We were informed it's not their fault, it's a new rule mandated by the State of California. (I'm going to research that because no other recycling center is doing this) From now on, a worker will sort your items into a bin. Then pour that bin into another bin to scan and verify that EACH item is legit. Other policies enforced include absolutely no bottles/cans/containers missing the manufacturer's label. They want proof of CA CRV. No partial labels. If you do 50 item counts to receive your full refund (which we all are entitled to)...they are going to count every single one to ensure you're telling the truth! Seasoned centers know just by eyeballing what 50 bottles or cans look like, so it's a little frustrating. My worker lost count and had to start over 3 times. On his 3rd attempt, I counted along to help him out as I'd been waiting 45 minutes in the cold. It was going to rain any minute. What was taking 5-10 minutes to get in and out is now over an HOUR. They do not want customers placing items in their bins to presort and are reluctant to give them to you...without a fight. They say they need to do it. If you bring everything presorted beforehand that's great, but you'll still have to wait your turn. Yes, wait behind someone who brought in 10 lawn bags filled of unsorted recyclables, who basically have their hands tied.

The men who work there are friendly and helpful! I usually drop off my recycling with my kids, and the men gladly help me sort out the recyclables so I don't have to get my hands dirty. They even let my son collect the money afterwards and let him feel special. They are true gentlemen. :-)
