Just a few short days after I had requested a (FREE of charge) motor oil recycling drain tub (with oil filter recycling bag), a Mount Diablo Resource Recovery Truck full of garbage bins in the back, dropped off the drain tub at my address! Now THAT’S quick service!👍

The person was friendly, however we missed our pickup time. The technician told me there would be a $30.00 fee. I knew there was a free missed pickup option given once per year. However, she did not opt to disclose that option until I brought it up. She should have led with that. Had I not known that policy, I would have been out $30 bucks. Not cool.
I would like to commend and express my appreciation for the driver of the recycling truck. I regret I did not get his name but it was mid afternoon (Aug 15) when he came by and I asked him a question about my recyclable materials which I had curbside.
I moved in a few weeks ago and had all my boxes and packing paper piled in my garage. I wasn't sure how to go about getting rid of all this recyclable material but I took a chance and stacked it all curbside. The driver stopped and said he would not be able to pick it up yet as he had a full load and would come by later to get it. I thought for sure I would have to drag everything back into my garage and wait two more weeks but true to his word he came back and hauled it all away. As with all new residents there was a significant amount of material.
The driver was very courteous and friendly. I would not blame someone if they were at lease a little upset at having to come back for such a big load, but he conveyed no attitude. I was so relieved to have all that material removed and appreciated his demeanor and positive attitude. Great job!
