An absolutely gorgeous place to spend an afternoon shooting clays. The drive alone is beautiful.

This place is great! The people here are very helpful, and friendly to all customers from those who are regulars to new comers. At one point my rifle was jamming, they told me.to bring the ammo and gun in, and told me about the ammo and what I should use, and how to lubricate the right places. They proceeded to lubricate parts for me and said to try it and come back if there are issues. I mean, who takes the time to teach you a thing or two anymore? They could have said "tough shit" but they didnt. They we very helpful. This was my first time going and will definately not be the last time! I will be bringing moe people with me to share in the fun. What a great place with great people!

Great place even for beginners to learn. The staff were very kind and taught us the basics, and some good advices coming with us to the field. It was a great experience

I’ve been coming hear on and off for a while now and introduced my dad to sporting clays. Spent Father’s Day with him and my uncles and cousins. Always good fun.

The gal from San Diego told me to go here. She said the hamburgers are good and the hot dogs are good. So I went to the cafe for lunch. There are super friendly and helpful staff. They have tasty, clean food. The menu has a few options you’d expect like cheeseburger, hot dog, BLT, ham & cheese, and tuna sandwich. I hear their chili is really good. They even serve breakfasts?!!??? They have a fairly good assortment of packaged beverages and chips. I got the special: New York loin sandwich w/ chips and fountain drink. I gobbled up that sandwich right quick, I tell ya! Then I stayed longer to do some work on my technology device(s). With a shooting park on the property and an attached gun shop, it seems like the kind of place where dirty guys would come in yelling and laughing about their exploits of gunpowder and blood. While I sat, there was nary others, and I had a pleasant, quiet stay. I’d give 5-stars if: hot water at the bathroom sink was turned on, credit card swiper was working, and they had ice for fountain drinks. If you choose to give a thumbs-up ?? or not, I hope you found my review helpful!

Such a nice range with friendly people. A bit of a drive, but well worth it. The drive into the countryside is beautiful, and the backgrounds of the stations are mostly beautiful. They have good equipment for Sporting Clays, two well maintained ranges, a good variety of stations and layouts. Their shop has a good selection of quality shotguns, and I ended up buying a Beretta from them, which I am very happy with. They are an hour away for me, and we go most weeks.

I've shot at all the sporting clay courses in northern CA, this one is the most expensive. That being said it's also the nicest. You won't find any non working machines very little to no broken clays. This is a top notch operation super clean and running like a well oiled machine. Worth every penny. Course isn't overly hard, but every shot isn't a gimme. If your a A class shooter you'd be better to bring your subguage here.

First timers at the range today- Whitney and Jay did an amazing job bringing us up to speed and making us feel welcomed. Great experience, can't wait to be back!

My partner and I have had great experiences at Bird's landing. We're beginners, and Dale and Whitney in the shop have been very welcoming - they both spent a lot of time helping us, giving us advice and answering all our questions.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Recommend coming here early so you can get good practice in on multiple booths without having to pass up or wait for the next station to open up; despite that the fellow shooters are all very respectful and helpful can’t stop from coming back.

If ya love to shoot, this is a great place to bring your shotgun. Pro shop is well stocked and Whitney, the shop manager knows her stuff. After talking to her for 10-15 min. I ordered a gun from her because of her honest approach to sales.

Awesome place to shoot pheasants and to shoot some clays! The staff and owners are amazing

Great place to go and do some clay practice, with 13 stations all having 2 launchers the angles and looks you get can really help sharpen hunting gun work skills. The grounds are gorgeous rural California, there's a couple super small towns close by but birds landing has food and a small store for shooting supplies. They offer modified strollers with gun mounts or carts if you don't want to carry your stuff. Do not miss this experience, especially if you're a regular clay shooter!

What a great way to spend a couple of hours! The course is so nice to walk. There is shade from trees, a breeze, and clays to shoot out of the sky! It doesn't get much better than that! Everyone in the pro shop is super helpful, and they made buying a new shotgun a pleasure for me. I will be back many more times!

Had a great time with 4 friends shooting clay pigeons. 13 different stands and 100 shots later I only hit 61 of them but I had a ton of fun.

I cannot recommend Birds Landing Hunting Preserve enough. The most professional and friendly staff. Whitney, you rock! If you want to learn to shoot skeet, safely handle a shotgun and exercise your 2'nd Ammendment Rights in a safe and fun environment, this is the place! It reminds me of how California used to be. It's with it to come out and join and improve your marksmanship.

So much fun. Lots of shotgun selections. Really high quality guns for rent. A bit expensive, but an awesome day out and much less expensive than Six Flags!! I’m not a hunter. So, I love the sporting clays. The kids will love this. My son earned his Eagle Scout rank, and this place was part of his journey. Lots of his friends joined us. Can’t say enough. David.

This was my first time ever sport shooting and the staff at Bird's Landing were really patient with me and didn't leave my side until I was 100% comfortable. There were 13 shooting zones/stages with all levels of difficulty. They provided water along the route and even a ports potty in case you need to go. The other members were friendly and even offered me some valuable pointers. I will definitely return with friends in the future.

I hunted Birds Landing with a friend a couple years ago, in 2016, and we bagged 7 birds that day. We went later in the day and hunted several fields with no one else in sight. I was not able to hunt the 2017-18 season, but had such a good time that I was definitely going to join and hunt the 2018-19 season. This year is the first year with my dog hunting and she has progressed wonderfully. Rick, Dan, Tony and all the staff have made it a very pleasant experience. Some days I arrive for the opening hunt and other days if I want to sleep in I will go out later in the day. Early on there were several days that we did not get any birds, but that was because my dog was still figuring out exactly what we were looking for and what was her role. Now she knows exactly what pheasants are and that she gets to grab them and bring them back. For the month of January 2019, we have been out hunting 6 times and there was only one late-start day that we flushed no birds. I read one review where the poster complained about the staff because they started late. I think he mistook their humor for an insult and the poster then went on to complain that he and his dog were covered in ticks. Be advised when you go into the outdoors there are insects, such as mosquitoes and ticks. I keep my dog on a flea and tick treatment regimen and have discovered ZERO ticks on her. I check myself after each hunt as well and have discovered no ticks this year. I don't know what this fellow was expecting, its the outdoors after all. There has only been one day, I have observed people behaving stupidly and that was through their vocalizations not safety. Also, for those who have not hunted extensively, you will sometimes get "rained" on. That is where bird shot lands around you or on you, but it was fired from a sufficient distance that it has no effect upon you. That is not a safety hazard, also it is not buckshot as I have seen several people term it, bird shot is significantly smaller in size and does not retain energy as does buck shot. Know that nothing is perfect and there will always be the possibility of people being unpleasant or just plain stupid. Safety is everyone's responsibility, and unsafe behavior should be reported. I have no doubt that Rick and Dan would address safety issues.

This is a very friendly clay shooting emporium with two sporting clay courses and one five stand field. The main course is very shady. The other is rather hot and needs a restroom. There is also a clean bright modest cafe and a fairly well stocked pro shop, ammo prices are rather high, bring your own.

Thank you to the team at Birds Landing for putting on a wonderful Sporting Clay tournament for the PDCA Scholarship Shoot last week

We took our team of agents out for some fun and shooting and had a blast. The staff was very professional and made the experience very comfortable. They were able to rent equipment, and give a refresher course for those who had not shot in a while. It was a great experience and our team is asking to go back.
