Great service and unbelievable turn around time. We drove a long way to camp near Burney Falls, while on a hike and returning to my truck, I noticed.a water leak under my truck. Turns out it.was the water pump. This is a new truck 2019 ,3500 Ram. I called Mike's automotive and they said bring it down. Then BAM three hour later it was ready. Absolutely amazing. Made our trip stress free.
Mike helped us out BIG TIME when our car broke down on an interstate roadtrip. He diagnosed a failing alternator and replaced it same-day by noon. We could not be more grateful, and I would recommend his shop to any traveler who runs into car troubles near Burney.
Mike is awesome. I got towed in with a bad fuel pump. Mike diagnosed it and got the part the next morning and has me on the road by noon. He charged a fair price and even gave me a lift down the road to a hotel. Thank you Mike.
Mike has taken care of my rigs for many years. His work is very good and in a pinch will get repairs completed quickly. Few years back I had my alternator quit while I was working and Mike got repair done fast and I was able to return to work next day. He just rebuilt the engine in my 2000 jeep Cherokee. Absolutely fantastic. Very honest! Mike is very conscientious.
These are kind and decent people running a family business. I just love going in there. Its a Dad, his daughter and sometimes her son is hanging in there when school is out, just on his tablet swinging his legs in the chair being all good and stuff. Also a sweet black lab laying in his bed behind the counter. Its a warm atmosphere. There are funny signs and interesting pictures hanging in the office to keep you entertained. Theyre usually very busy because this is the only place around Burney.
They do a good job at accommodating people who are in a rush despite all that. People sometimes need car work done in order to get home in this little tourist town. I really believe this guy actually cares.
He has done multiple jobs for me and has done an outstanding job every time. He could have easily charged me many hundreds of dollars in labor and didn't, because he already had the car pulled apart. He has been just sterling! He is very patient and informative when he explains everything, and so is his daughter. His daughter at the counter is super cool and easy to work with! Im so relieved that theres an honest and good mechanic here :)
Honestly these guys are very reliable and really care about the community, most reasonable pricing on repairs. They always take care of me and heard that from most everybody else who talks about these guys also.
These guys are/wereawesome and did me a huge favour by repairing my exhaust systemon short notice to get this old Canadian fool back on the road at an incredibly fair price. Much respect ?
I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else. Mike is very understanding and knows his craft. Megan is above and beyond helpful. The best place to take your vehicles in the North State.
We were on vacation and the engine was running rough. We arrived about 5pm, but Mike took a look at it anyway. He told us to come in the next day at 8:30 am. Mike fixed it by mid- morning by replacing a plug and coil. It has run fine since. The price was very reasonable. Mike was friendly and easy to talk to and explained the reapir.
Mike has been an absolutely wonderful mechanic! While travelling through he rebuilt my transmission within two days, with reasonable prices and even fixed some other minor problems. Would definitely recommend ??
Timing belt and water pump was replaced on a Honda Civic 2004. Quality work. The receipt I had for the work got damaged and I called Mike to see if I could get a replacement. He was quick to find the reciept and send it to me in an email over a year later. Stand up dude! Thanks Mike!
Over charging and not only myself but every one have have talk to since,, charging for pulling up codes is ludicrous, when most other shop would do it for free .
Then after I was charged for 2 and a half hour labor, he tells me, I don't know how this system works but I'll. Chck it out for you at $75.00 an hour
Dislike their prices.Work performed on specific items was less than quality at$$$$$..No Handicap parking. Pleanty of room to get Towed into and left on curbside. Unfortunately My Experience with Mike's Automotive has been Honestly less desirable than driving to Redding Ca., another 50 miles. Now The do have a busy looking place. But I can see it as When Your Stuck and have to be Towed. Where else can you go. Sorry Mike's Automotive I always Share my truthfull Experience Reviewing. With hope Not to get stuck
I brought my '95 Jeep Wrangler in today due to ALL my gauges not working. He found only a fuse was the problem...some places would create a false diagnosis, and pad the bill....he charged a minimal $34 for 1/2 hr to find something that I overlooked...great experience, great business..I highly recommend them...he put a starter in for me a few days ago, great job there, too.
We were on a long road trip but ended up with an alternator failure. They were swamped but Mike took our car and attended to it as soon as he could so we can continue our trip. Fair price and excellent service!
Took my car to 4 other mechanics before I came here.
Mike was the first mechanic to actually listen to what I said the problem was. He was then able to quickly fix the problem (that 4 other mechanics couldn't find) and charged me a pretty fair price for it.
We had our oil change the day before we left on our trip and as we got to Burney we realized there was a oil smell coming from the engine. After checking our oil we realized they had overfilled it. We stopped by Mike’s automotive and they quickly took care of us in a professional friendly manner! Thank you Mike and crew we’re getting us back on the road again.
Mike was the best, he stopped what he was working to assist me with a check engine light. Very knowledgeable & methodical on his troubleshooting, no messing about. He was very reasonable, charged 50% of what I thought the bill would come to. Highly recommend.
Mike is the best! He has gone out of his way more then once to help me repair my cars. Wh3n I can't do it myself, Mike does it at a very reasonable price. He has left his business to come to my house to look at my vehicle. He a very nice man, makes one feel very comfortable around him. Easy to talk to. If it weren't for Mike, I don't know what I would have done on several occasions as my friends and family live over 400 miles away. Thanks Mike you really are the best.
We Dropped off our transmission for Mike to rebuild. It’s been six months and still no sign of it ever being done.
It’s memorial day weekend now and we are stuck at home with no vehicle
Had a full engine failure on the way thru Burney. AAA towed the vehicle to Mike’s Automotive after hours. Mike was extremely professional and efficient at diagnosing the car issue first thing in the morning and was able to get our classic car repaired and back on the road in under 2 days. He kept me update on the parts, repairs and time estimates throughout.
I had some issues with my van. It was idling weird and stalling on me few times. I managed to drive to burney and I stopped at mikes automotive. They were slammed with work. I've explained what the problem is and Mike had some ideas what it might be and he ordered some parts for the next day. Next day he found the issue within 5min. One of my fuel injectors failed. Guess what? He ordered them the day before! He replaced them in no time and I was back on the road before 10am.
Great shop and honest service.

We were working on the Berry Fire recently and i had a problem after hours with my diesel.
Mike answered the phone at 7:30 am the following morning and had me come straight down to address the issue. He had 2 other road travelers stop by for maintenance before 9am, and between the 3 of us he had me back on the road with no parts before 11am. The other two clients were on the road before noon i bet.
GREAT mechanic, honest professional service. Would highly recommend for any vehicle and any problem.
While on vacation my cars alternator decided to crap out. I all but coasted into town and Mike's driveway. They clearly were slammed on a Friday at 3pm. But still came out and got me fixed up and on the road again. The price was very good as well. I just wish they were in my city.
