These idiots are complete scammers. The "tranny" guy Berri, has killed at least 7 transmissions in the past year and refuses to honor his warranty or even admit he doesnt know what hes doin. He has a fantastical story about all his traning and how he teaches, dont believe it, he's delusional. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANY REASON!
DO NOT GET ANY TRANSMISSION WORK DONE HERE. Berri, the "trans guy" completely wasted my time, money, and destroyed my trans. He "worked my case" which had to be replaced because he drilled out oil passages, which led to low line pressure. He over shimmed my stack which caused damage to bearings and other internal parts. He over charged for his work, and now won't even return phone calls or text messages from me or the transmission shop fixing his disaster. There was supposed to be a warranty for 3 years and 3K miles, but he's not honoring that either. Ohh, I should mentioned all of this occurred with less than 150 miles and less than 1 year on the vehicle. It's my weekend project, so not daily driven.
Whatever you do, stay away from this shop, and family.
So I've been to several other transmission shops locally that didn't seem to have the knowledge or experience or tenacity in satisfying the customer or actually getting the job done in a timely economically reasonable fashion as Black road transmission shop. I've dealt with Lauren on several occasions and had nothing but a positive experience and positive outcome. Also I have referred multiple friends and family and work associates and they also have had a positive outcome and we're thankful for the contact and connection with this transmission shop.
There's nothing worse than taking your automotive issue to a shop that you don't feel confident working on it and at Black road transmission that's not the issue. They're up front honest and tenacious about resolving any transmission issue you have in a timely manner. Black road Auto is the transmission shop to go to... Hands down. Don't take a chance elsewhere on the experience level of a local shop , no matter what their name deplicts, but choose the best by those who they've served and continue to serve repeatedly with positive results ....
Awesome pick and pull! One of the few that still trust their customers enough to let them in the yard. Which makes a huge difference when you need multiple items.
I've been going there to get my used auto parts for over 10 years. The people there have always been nice to me and have always given me great deals on parts.
Issac had the part that I needed waiting for me, (covid-19, did not allow the usual pull your own part, so they did), the part was exactly what I wanted, Nd they gave me a great deal on it.

Bring a jack, stands and a weed eater...and/or a long sleeve, breaker bar. Decent selection,be very precise in what Exact model you need, call ahead they usually know what they have out there. Will go back
They charge way too much for used parts that you have to go find and remove from the vehicle yourself. It use to be worth it to go pick your own parts but at the prices they want to charge i would rather have someone pull it off the shelf in the auto parts store with a warranty and the ability to return it if its the wrong part.
Good prices on stuff you need but seems a bit slim pickings the day I went, they usually have a good amount of vehicles to sort through before they get crushed
Just Right Now A Woman Hung Up On Me Very Rude . After She Had Me Wait For Long Time. I was Calling To Sell My Salvage Car And She Just said No The Owner Is Now Buying Cars Like Yours. Than She Hung Up On Me . She Hardly Spoke Any English .
Bad customer service if the mexican lady is there she has no clue what she talking about i would i highly recomend going saturday early morning before she gets there
I've had good luck with Black Road in the past. Today was no different. I called and asked if they had any Chevy trucks that I could pull parts off of. They said yes and that they were open till 2:30. When I arrived I explained what I was looking for, they showed me a map of where the trucks were. They revised my bucket of tools and let my daughter and I go into the yard. I got what I needed and they charged me a fair price. Will definitely go back again. I am Bi-Lingual so I had no problem communicating with them but expect to slowly explain what you need to a Mexican woman if you call. Not a big deal...it's California after all.
Same as other reviews, the woman had no clue and told me to walk around the yard till I found one of the guys that worked there. Once I found "one of the guys" I had no problem getting help.
