I went there 2 Saturdays in a row. The first time I had 3 bags of old clothes, not much. I was charged $20. I thought that was fair. Next Saturday I went there with the same amount of medium trash bags of clothes that were too damaged to take to goodwill. This time it’s $40. When I mentioned it to the guy he just said that’s what it is. So I asked him how they determine the cost and he said by weight. Okay but they never weighed any of my bags, nor did they weigh anyone in front of me. So not sure how he came up with a cost twice as much as the week before. Granted it was a different person. He wasn’t rude but just kept telling me that $20 is their minimum. I understood that but why was it double the cost from the week before? A little frustrating and I certainly did not have $40 worth of trash!
Every time I visit, the workers are helpful and my drops are quick. I love taking the kids (they stay in the car of course) to watch the big front loaders pushing around the rubbish. If you ever have any questions about rates or what can and can't be dropped off here, call ahead. Also nice that they open at 7am
I love coming here because is open landfill and everyone is friendly. This place does NOT recycle styrofoam. Was charged $15 for some styrofoam and cardboard, not much, it fit loosely in the back of my small hatchback. Fellow at the kiosk was nice.
People in there are working tiredly to get everyone's in. Big line, get ready for 30 minutes or more on Saturdays. The take E-waste by the side door, for that you don't need to make the line!
The transfer station was open and it was busy there was a line about four or five vehicles deep they were only using one lane because they had repaired the concrete on the normal right entry lane so traffic was going back and forth on the out bound lanes (with there are two lanes there so it didn't slow us down).
All the staff were easygoing and helpful. The guy who helped me unload/dump my stuff was super cheerful and personable, far more than you'd expect from a grocery check not to mention a dump staffer. Props!!
I had the greatest experience using the dump! We cleaned out our garage in Dec. Things had piled up, as they tend to do. I had a variety of items: boxes of old papers, old furniture, toys, computer equipment, etc. I drove up to the kiosk, which is a giant scale. They weighed the car when I came in, pointed out the various areas for dump and recycle, and then weighed the car again after I unloaded. It couldn’t be simpler! The dump was clean and well organized, the service staff was very nice and well trained, and the cost was surprisingly affordable! They even took my electronic waste and batteries. That saved me another trip to a 2nd location. They made it so fast & easy that I’m energized to tackle the next big clean-up project! Kudos to our dump!
